These are an improvement over the 1st gen buds. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxK5mc3yw4xA7Mf2j6k6n1Uqv_KUgrKdeM Pros: The fit is fantastic. This is the biggest plus. They stay in my ears when running and become unnoticeable. They are tight but comfortable. The sound quality is about the same as the 1st gen buds. They pair more easily with my LG G8 ThinQ and immediately reconnect when removed from the case. The sound balance is excellent, good but not overpowering base and clean mid tones and highs.Cons: The noise cancellation is good but perhaps a little less effective than the Bose ANC on the 1st gen buds. Passthrough mode as not as good as the 1st gen buds making it a little more difficult to hear conversations when in passthrough.
I bought the Kokkia transmitter a couple months back.. was hesitant at first as it was $70!!!..but bought it anyway. Glad i did..best thing ever if u like "owning" your music..or don't want to stream it.. I connect it to my car, earbuds (not aipods) and just about any Bluetooth device.. it even turns my stereo on when I turn on my ipod.. I do have one issue with it. I have two ipods.. both 6th Gen classic. One model MB147LL, the other Model PB147LL. The PB147LL doesn't connect to my car.. only the model MB147LL.. not sure why . It connects to all other devices.. Also.. it does drain your battery a bit.. but ive managed to get a good 4-5 hrs nonstop play on shuffle. Wish it had a pass through charging option .
Just a heads up for anyone wanting to do this...it does work pretty well with Airpods, but keep in mind that if you are outside and you put the Ipod in your pocket, the sound will cut out. No clue why this happens, it just does
How about sound quality. And I don’t mean volume…I’ve heard it lowers the maximum volume, but I would worry about that, since I don’t think I need maximum volume, but I’m worried about if the sound quality drops as well. No reason to have expensive earphones if the transmitter gonna lower the quality anyways.
Even modern Android with aptX or iPhone with AAC would have impact on the sound quality. I believe this dongle isn't recognised as a BT device by the iPod but rather consumes the line-out connectors to encode/transmit the audio signal feed to your headphones. I wouldn't have high expectations but it would be super cool if somebody measure it.
Sorry, but next time you do a video for UA-cam, could you please keep your hands still. Very informative, but my eyes and brain were struggling to constantly refocus.
i have the version without the button. it does affect battery life pretty drastically. i'd say to expect about 1/2 to 2/3 of your current battery life with it plugged in and playing
i have the version without the button. it works with many bluetooth speakers, but not all. the bluetooth stereo in my rental car couldn't see it, but most if the portable bluetooth speakers ive used it with have
But that adapter is no good at all. It drains the battery of the iopd. I get 8 hours straight but with that device I had only 4 hour. So it's pointless. Anyways thiz IPOD was never made for BLUETOOTH. PERIOD .
Why in the world would you make and upload this video without providing a link to the product?
Just to make everybody angry!
@@melvinlim656 Thanks.

You might prefer a Taotronics Bluetooth adaptor which is self powered and plugs in the headphone socket to transmit from there

Do you know if this is different with other earbuds?
@@ionstriker3721 it seems to work better with actual headphones. Maybe its due to the limited circuitry in earbuds
Very detailed, informative, and helpful. Thanks for sharing.
