He was the most popular leader back then in 2018, and thus came to power. But the reason the Army didn't stop him was that they were expecting him to be as obedient as Nawaz and Zardari or were confident that it was an easy job to make him one. But they were disappointed immediately after knowing him.
Khan made 3.5 years only because of COVID-19 as the other parties were not ready to come into power with a deteriorating economy becoz of COVID back then.
