Listening to this story, one may be made to believe that WION is an American channel. Comparing everything Chinese with Americans. Why can't WION compare China with India for example or Russia?
It's pretty simple, the US is on the top of military technology and power, they spend more than any other country on their military. In fact they spend more than the last 12 on the list of military super powers combined. China being number 2 on the military spending list, it makes sense to compare China to USA in military terms.

this is what's called a puff piece. Nothing substantive, just a story for the sake of having a story. Now is not the time of the navy (and in particular ships), but rather space, missiles, cyber, drones, AI and directed energy weapons. It cant be a secret, because WION is talking about it. And it cant be amazing, because it's not yet operational. At any point in time, in the military complex there are hundreds and thousands of ideas being worked on, but most don't get deployed for many reasons e.g. cost, operational requirements or drawbacks.
If it is already on the Fujian carrier that means it is in operation stage. Otherwise they would not put it there.
There is no time to test at this stage .

India should worry not US
The US was going to do this in the early 2000s and then abandoned the idea. It was cost prohibitive, and gave very little benefit. it was also more expensive to update systems over the lifecycle of the ship. I would have to imagine that ships with a single integrated mast are also more vulnerable.
It has been implemented on Type 055 destroyers 5 years ago. Of course it works well otherwise why China would implement it on the Fujian? Keep your sour grapes to yourself .LOL

The distance America fighter jets that carriers carry can fight ,is around 500km , China DF missiles can hit moving targets , China proved it to US already, It is not a Secret. the purpose is to tell US don't come near please. China is able to communicate with probe on the moon. electronic is not far enough.
