    Having an anxiety disorder, the worst thing is when your body is physically feeling anxiety symptoms but you can’t pinpoint why you’re anxious in the first place. My body would go into fight or flight mode and people would ask what’s bothering me and I would just tell them “I honestly don’t know”. And then we would go do something fun or entertaining to try and distract from whatever it is. Anxiety symptoms come in so many different forms. And it’s interesting to hear peoples stories about how they feel during an anxiety attack.

    • @GNICHO
      @GNICHO 2 роки тому +16

      Yeah I realize it’s mainly due to not enough physical activity, shallow breathing, in some people (hormones), and general experiences that don’t feel authentic

      Yes! I go through periods of at least two weeks where I think I'm having a heart attack because I get chest pains. I've had an EKG done twice and they're normal. I didn't know about physical symptoms due to anxiety before 2020.

    • @tri-angel
      @tri-angel 2 роки тому +8

      @@GNICHO I always thought I was experiencing anxiety attacks as well as panic attacks and that they were different, but I think I might just be experimenting vasovagal syncope bc a lot of the symptoms overlap. I used to be incredibly anxious anytime I needed to go to the doctor and take a shot, or really do anything that related to health, I had to step out of biology classes often just from reading about something like the respiratory system or neurons.
      However as I've gotten older and gone to see doctors more frequently I've squashed a lot of the mental anxiety around health and doctors , but the physical symptoms of low blood pressure, tunnel vision, nausea, panic, distorted hearing, cold sweat and fainting still persist.
      I still experience random and intense anxiety at different times and often prevents me from sleeping. I've never been diagnosed with anything though. I'm genuinely curious if being medicated helps.

    • @MattIsntYoung
      @MattIsntYoung 2 роки тому +3

      Definitely this. I get physically anxious a tonne more than emotionally, and often. It can get exhausting wondering why but eventually I try and say say whatever and go with the flow of the day. Personally, of course. Not everybody can necessarily do that.

    hey friends just a quick lil correction delta 8 isn't low in THC or anything, it IS thc. it's just a different form (molecularly) and isn't as strong as regular weed/delta 9, which is why it's legal in so many more places like TN !! :)

    • @kaemincha
      @kaemincha 2 роки тому +70

      also just a warning that most delta-8 products actually aren't regulated by the FDA, so it's sort of a wild west of what's in them, so be careful out there people. also please be careful as anxiety can be a side effect of delta-8 and other THC products. (this is not a "dont do drugs" post, just a warning that these unregulated companies will often make less than safe products to make a quick buck)

    omg when you guys mentioned the Barbie collectors, its sooo true how intense they are. My best friend collects Barbies and he has an entire room in his home dedicated to them. He'll spend all this time going to antique stores and going online buying barbies in bullk. He even reroots and styles their hair when they need it, it's actually pretty incredible. He does it for childhood nostalgia and only really collects Barbies from the 80 and 90s because that is when he was a kid. We started a little business on a facebook group where we take pictures of all the stuff he doesn't want from bulk purchases and we have little claim sales. Some people make their whole living doing that stuff. It's insane and honestly really cool.

      vitamins also aren’t FDA approved, does that mean don’t use them? no marijuana is FDA approved bc the govt can’t accept its medicinal value. this very much sounded like “don’t do drugs” bc i’m pretty sure this isn’t the first time you’ve said it here. let people make their own choices without being so overbearing and critical. there are a shocking amount of things not “FDA regulated” and i’m taken aback by the amount of trust people put into the american government only when it comes to things people don’t like or agree with. the govt here is a joke and sham UNTIL guns or drugs come into question. how do y’all think then drugs got here? you really believe it was immigrants and not govt officials? do a quick google of how many everyday things aren’t given the stamp of approval by the same govt that pedaled us the drugs in the first place. 💀

    When I found out that the military funds movies that portrays them, I like took a step back and analyzed how many movies I've seen and enjoyed that had the military as a positive force in the movie. And I'm a huge enjoyer of the mcu, so like, just having that knowledge and knowing that the effing military essentially helped write propaganda in the movie always takes me out of the experience, even for a bit.

    • @arielstater7902
      @arielstater7902 2 роки тому +5

      That is 100% untrue. The military has funded SOME films that portray them, but only some. It did not fund any of the MCU films. Many films, MCU included, obviously use certain military assets. IF the military provides those assets for FREE (this is uncommon), the Pentagon then has to approve the script for the film and the way the military is portrayed in it. I think what makes it obvious that the military doesn't fund MCU films is that it is honestly portrayed in a very bad light in many of the films. In The Incredible Hulk, the military were the bad guys!!
      Look at a film like Apocalypse Now - filled to the brim with military assets and yet... you think the Department of Defense funded that film?? Absolutely the fuck not

    • @Namite0001
      @Namite0001 2 роки тому

      @@arielstater7902 It is an interesting and complex topic. Yes, I did probably misspeak. I'm sure not every Marvel film got military funding, and even if they did, to vastly different degrees.
      I should have said this in my original comment, but I was mainly thinking of Iron Man 1 and 2. I cannot imagine the military didn't give them funding for that, and even if they didn't give money, they probably gave access to use military equipments, uniforms, etc.
      You are correct, in the Incredible Hulk, Thunderbolt Ross, a military personnel, is the bad guy. I think the military is being strategic with its involvement in posing the American military as a positive force. If every military movie has a positive portrayal of the military, then that's just obvious propaganda, and that's something America fought against. Having movies that the military is not so overtly positive in is probably good so everything isn't so clear cut. This is all just my opinion though (except for the fact that Ross was the bad guy, that's a fact).
      I think this is an interesting topic that can merit for a lot of great discussion. I will say, in general, I believe the military is funding a lot of the MCU movies because Rhodey and Captain America are both part of the army. Captain Marvel was also part of the Air Force. From my very light research, it seems that Disney/Marvel struck a deal with the Pentagon (and even the British Ministry of Defense in Cap1) on the portrayal of the military. In general, I'm not too familiar with the topic of military movies and the American military funding those movies, because I just don't watch too many of them outside of Marvel films. Clickbait can be hell for people with anxiety. I remember when the Russia/Ukraine war started I was so anxiety ridden about being wiped out in nuclear hellfire that I literally couldn’t leave my house. And every single article was something like “HOW NUCLEAR WAR WILL DESTROY HUMANITY IN ONE DAY” or “RUSSIA READYING MISSILES” since that’s what got clicks and it literally didn’t do anything but further my anxiety along with literally everyone else’s

    So the crabs in a bucket metaphor is meant to make a point that their natural ecosystem isn’t a bucket. When women pull each other down for being “successful” in whatever sense the point is that it comes from a sense of scarcity society imposes on us. The crabs pull each other down because they’re trying to get out of the bucket and we pull each other down because we think more for somebody is less for us. That’s why it’s also super commonly used in other like groups that are oppressed, like Latinos or whatever ingroup is operating in like a mindset of fear that we’re not enough

    Everyone's giggling about Sarah's situation but from the small description we got if sounds like burnout to me; I recently got diagnosed with autism (19f) and with that discovered I had been in a constant state of burnout for years at that point. Burnout makes you tired and then there's a vague anxiety about both your health and how you're going to keep up with your tasks in that state, so it becomes a cycle until you give yourself a break. Please consider this and rest as needed Sarah

      @@mushroup honestly id say that's the hardest part to it, finding a way to unwind without building that anxiety. I'd say the best way is to find a productive task you consider calming. I started dog walking, so I'm making money and helping people out, while getting the time in my own head to unwind. It's also a form of exercise that puts me out in the sun. I also make a point of making my smaller calming activities like reading and listening to music extremely accessible to me. It's also helped to set boundaries with those around me and let them know I have social limits & auditory issues so I'm not having my batteries repeatedly drained.
      For the task I mentioned earlier, it can really be anything. Most people feel guilt from hobbies because it's not productive, but I'd disagree that most are; if you're someone who watches movies, an easy way to make that "productive" is to go on google and give it a review; you're a movie reviewer, helping others mindfully consume media! Plus you get to share your thoughts! If you're someone who likes a craft or art, that's a skill you're building, which makes it valuable alone! A lot of it is frame of mind to remove anxiety behind your release tasks, which in turn allows you to complete the tiring ones easier! It's not an immediate fix if you're someone who's been in a prolonged state of burnout; It took me around two months enter a healthier mindset, but I think mental health/happiness/clarity is something incredibly important for quality of life & worth digging for! I hope you find something that works for you 💞 if there's a hobby you feel guilty about I think I could find a way to put a positive spin on it if you struggle with that! (anxiety is inherently pessimistic and can make it understandably hard to see positives or let those outweigh any negative)

    So I think it was Ann Reardon from how to cook that who explained the ultimate click bait formula - it was started with a number, and then it would have an adjective, and then a keyword, and then a promise. So it would be like The 10 most violent murders you've ever seen or 23 super easy lifehacks for kids etc., it was like super specific and you start to realize that formula is everywhere. And you don't even need to even need to provide as many examples as the number on your list, the number is just for the asthetic

    The first time I ever had bad physical anxiety, I thought there was something seriously wrong with me. I did blood tests, poop tests, and finally one day when I was calling the emergency nurse line and describing how I could barely walk, felt light headed almost constantly, numb fingers and toes, horrible stomach pain, she was like "I think you're having an anxiety attack." And it finally clicked.
    Of course the Dr I got all those tests from never even brought that up and it was a nurse over a phone that figured it out.

    I have OCD so whenever I see those, my brain rubs with it into next year. sometimes I'll ruminate on it for HOURS if I don't like/share/whatever. sometimes it'll give me those bad, intrusive thoughts like "[atrocious bad thing] is going to happen because you didn't like that tweet".
    the same applies for those tiktoks that are like "you watched three times so I could afford me surgery" 😭 it's just terrible and I know the world doesn't need or have to cater to me, but it's still bothersome.
