The quest "the replacement" was in all likelyhood meant to involved replacing Kessler with a synth in order to seize control of the settlement for The Insitute, which would have justified your ability to use the workbench there. This quest was probably removed due to time constraints, but you still get control of the settlement after the Battle of Bunker Hill. I don't think it's likely that the institute would make a synth of your dead wife. That doesn't make any sense.

He killed your spouse, you killed him, and now he serves you with courser hardware, all of his experience and his cybernetics. It’s pretty sad when the devs release a bow and arrow with Wastelanders; but your character shoots left handed. Meanwhile the mod community released a much better version (with correct handing) almost three years ago! I also hate the FO4 / FO76 “assault rifle”. The thing looks like a WW I (potato) machine gun. They should have kept the M16 / AK47 models from FO3. Another poor decision that I hope Bethesda fixes with Wastlanders DLC.
33TimberWolf the bow is left handed so it’s technically correct it just looks weird. All weapons in 76 are left handed. All the actions are in the left side of the weapon
I think east city downs was intended to me something more as well. Just like the combat zone it makes no sense to have all that and then just shoot all the Raiders and triggermen there. But I don't know about anything else in the files for there, so oh well.
It would have been awesome if they had of turned the combat zone into a place you could fistfight with other npcs for money, like That underground arena place in fallout new Vegas, the thorn or something ?
Interestingly, you were originally supposed to fight (and defeat) Cait to get her as a companion, but that got changed to simply "slaughter the raiders, get Cait."
This is exactly why i never uninstall Skyrim, you never know when i might want to start up a new playthrough and i don't want to have to spend a week and a half getting my mods together when i do.

All of these look good, but I'd take the centaurs a bit differently. Have 1 or 2 samples of the original monstrosities, but set it up that you find the Institute actually improved the design. Less pathetic beast bent on making the world as miserable as it feels and more of a true centauroid that could have served the Institute. The originals came from the FEV experiments going seriously funky. Institute scientists tried improving the Super Mutants. Imagine a 4 legged SMutant at least as smart as Strong. Perhaps a "Rise of The New Master" situation. Perhaps a reason for Virgil to exist beyond being a overly simplistic foil. Maybe HIS formula is the cure for this plague. Maybe he created it in the 1st place...
Oh, btw I would do mods such as badlands or borealis. I would also use a mod I believe is called rusted commonwealth where many metal objects such as buildinga, cars, and I believe vaults are rusted immersively

Battle Gear in Phantom Pain for example wasn't removed "due to balance reasons" because we've seen MGSurvive try to profit from any leftover content, we've seen datamines, we've gotten a lot of mp updates. When I saw the "helmet" of the Institute Power Armor I had to think about the Hunchback of Notre Dame. But I have to admit it`s a nice suit of power armor. The Institute Centaurs remind me of the "appetizer" mr Krabs made during his time as the head chef on the SS Diarrhea. A shame they were cut from the game. Would be pretty scary to run into them. Especially during night times.

Most of the weapons exclusive to FO4 sucked. Honestly if they ported the guns from FNV I would be much happier. The proportions made much more sense because the rifles weren’t the size of your body and the heavy weapons would have fit perfectly with the new power armour system.
I used to play fallout 4, but unfortunately because of my desire to support modders through CC, my game was rendered almost unplayable (I have the game on PS4) due to a saving glitch. Bethesda didn't even bother to fix it so now, I just don't play the game.
I honestly really like the vanilla assault rifle. I mean uninspired, really? They could have gone with video game trends and made it a BAR or Bren copy, instead they took inspiration from the mg08/15, a variant of the workhorse of the german military in the first world war.
What is wrong with Bethesda? This cut stuff isn't overly ambitious, like the civil war in Skyrim. I want to call the devs lazy, but this whole game feels like apathy. I knew I wasn't crazy when I was expecting to see my wife as a synth.
This just makes me madder at Bethhesda necause all if these things missing is what made me feel like Fallout 4 had less content thwn New Vegas. It sums up the fact that Nethesda IS GIVING US LESS with each game. They think we are stupid and I am offended.
As far as your spouse coming back, I think horizon does it? No idea, but basically bring curie back to the pod as she's still a robot to revive your partner, very few lines but all in all pretty decent concept.
But I like to think is if you stop and think about it searching for food and weapons and water just like Fallout 4 or Mad Max or whatever the f*** in the near future maybe not in our lifetime is actually going to happen and the movies and video games such as these AR training videos and simulations literally for the another world
A bow and arrow should have been in the game from the start it makes total sense, it’s not like anyone’s still making ammunition. I wouldn’t go up against an assultron with one though! I always wanted the game to be less go kill all the baddies and instead make deals with them. So keep the combat zone and racetrack running but you get a cut. Over the years I’ve almost killed more people in fallout than the bombs did!
If it wasn’t for mods I would’ve stopped playing fallout 4 years ago I have two play Throughs one I’m playing as a ghoul and my other play through I’m playing as a super mutant honestly I’m surprised they haven’t made that into a thing yet in fall out were you can choose different species

there is actually a Nora companion mod that has it written that she didn't die (there are real life cases of people who were shot in the head and living like the bullet traces around the skull instead) wakes up a couple months before you and patches herself up with stimpacks, if you keep her around she actually sometimes pitches in on dialogue scenes since she those scenes scripted too. www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24680

the fallout 3 assault rifle wasnt a m16 it was a G3 and the chinese assault rifle was more of an RPD than an AK 47

I think Bethesda is replacing the current Assault Rifle with the Fallout 3 R91 Assault Rifle in Wastelanders, although I’m not sure.

I wish weapon deterioration and malfunction existed. It would make pipe weapons easily breakable and highly prone to jamming.

Most of the weapons exclusive to FO4 sucked. Honestly if they ported the guns from FNV I would be much happier. The proportions made much more sense because the rifles weren’t the size of your body and the heavy weapons would have fit perfectly with the new power armour system.
I’d love to see Bethesda add 20 Leagues Under the Sea to the Creation Club, similar to the Battle of Quincy mission.
in my opinion.........everyone should have some, (if not all), the CROSS mods in their load order. Seriously Niero's mods are literal magic
I used to play fallout 4, but unfortunately because of my desire to support modders through CC, my game was rendered almost unplayable (I have the game on PS4) due to a saving glitch. Bethesda didn't even bother to fix it so now, I just don't play the game.

I honestly really like the vanilla assault rifle. I mean uninspired, really? They could have gone with video game trends and made it a BAR or Bren copy, instead they took inspiration from the mg08/15, a variant of the workhorse of the german military in the first world war.
What is wrong with Bethesda? This cut stuff isn't overly ambitious, like the civil war in Skyrim. I want to call the devs lazy, but this whole game feels like apathy.

This just makes me madder at Bethhesda necause all if these things missing is what made me feel like Fallout 4 had less content thwn New Vegas. It sums up the fact that Nethesda IS GIVING US LESS with each game. They think we are stupid and I am offended.

As far as your spouse coming back, I think horizon does it? No idea, but basically bring curie back to the pod as she's still a robot to revive your partner, very few lines but all in all pretty decent concept.
The modern guns just don't fit, imo. Even the "futuristic" weapons, are based on models of 1950s sci-fi
But I like to think is if you stop and think about it searching for food and weapons and water just like Fallout 4 or Mad Max or whatever the f*** in the near future maybe not in our lifetime is actually going to happen and the movies and video games such as these AR training videos and simulations literally for the another world
A bow and arrow should have been in the game from the start it makes total sense, it’s not like anyone’s still making ammunition. I wouldn’t go up against an assultron with one though!
I always wanted the game to be less go kill all the baddies and instead make deals with them. So keep the combat zone and racetrack running but you get a cut. Over the years I’ve almost killed more people in fallout than the bombs did!
If it wasn’t for mods I would’ve stopped playing fallout 4 years ago I have two play Throughs one I’m playing as a ghoul and my other play through I’m playing as a super mutant honestly I’m surprised they haven’t made that into a thing yet in fall out were you can choose different species

If a bow was in fallout 4 I wouldn't ever put it down. A bow makes SO much sense in the wasteland. Quiet light and deadly
So they cut out any creativity in favor of a bland story and shallow factions. Kinda makes me concerned for the upcoming elder scrolls.
Fallout 4 has the creation club, for a bit of goodwill they should definitely make a free version of the chinese AR

The chinese assault rifle was changed to the handmade rifle from the far harbour DLC it’s just renamed
there is actually a Nora companion mod that has it written that she didn't die (there are real life cases of people who were shot in the head and living like the bullet traces around the skull instead) wakes up a couple months before you and patches herself up with stimpacks, if you keep her around she actually sometimes pitches in on dialogue scenes since she those scenes scripted too.
