I use Autosave Manager to supplement the Survival Mode autosaves. Basically, I configure it to trigger autosaves upon sleep, quest completion, location discovered, and location cleared.
Finally, I have what I call my “mercy save”. If no other autosave triggers have occurred for 1 hour, then it will autosave at the next opportunity (e.g. end if combat).
I find this to provide a good balance.

I like the smoking cigarette save mod. Makes roleplaying as a chain smoker fun. If I cant decide if im ready to deal with a quest, smoke break. If I wanna kill someone then save scum, smoke break. If I get tired of smoking Cigarettes, time to wipe out the San Fran Sunlights.

For who wants to know the armor on the thumbnail: It’s called BSAA and USS armor packs which are separate mods but they add in the armor from the resident evil series, it’s also on Xbox in the work in progress section, Also has an optional gunner armor replacer

I've been playing enhanced with 3x incoming damage and I used a program to disable my keyboard's console command button. It's like a whole new and amazing game.

I'm very glad not only to see more content but also new types of content from you. I've been kind of obsessed with Fallout and the Elder Scrolls since I played FO3 and Oblivion so it's nice to have someone to watch that isn't just Oxhorn and someone who does modding videos on a regular basis. @@DirtyDev he wants the role-selection "roleplaying" that new vegas offered. you get to pick from one of 3 different playthroughs (wow! 3!) and can't avoid the main story conflict if you tried because the map is so small and almost every NPC exists soley for the main story conflict.
I actually was in a mood to reinstall Fallout 4 recently.... played through Bioshock Collection instead and gotten much higher nostalgia vibes. Seems like a better choice, fully recommend.

I love the witcher 3 and thought the story would thrill me like the witcher, but not even close.
I guess a western just cant come close to settings like fantasy or gta.
@@bigzachful Westerns definitely can. GTA stories aren't that great even. The issue is with RDR2, RDR1 is an amazing story and incredibly compelling.

I take a break from FO4 for months at a time. Watching your mod lists always bring me back to rebuild a mod list and jump right back in.
I fantasize a mod that merges the fallout 3 map with fallout 4 in the cononical ending Minutemen vs. BoS the transition map of fallout 4 would be New Vegas no man's land. And the war goal is to liberate the DC area and revitalize the Minutemen origins.
I'm not like those *other* ai overhauls...

Journey, one of my favorites for survival, it allows you to fast travel between settlements that are connected by supply lines, but only if you are on the settlement and when you find your npc in the wild you can either send your loot trough him or travel to wherever it is going, super imersive and well made mod that remove a bit of walking and make settlements more important.
Mods that inject both dlcs weapons and armor on base game are good too.
Npc scaling are like necessary I think the more you level the stronger the enemies will be, no other mod make you fear vertibirds.
The basic armor and weapons workshop/armorsmith the foundation for so many mods.
My last time playing I had around 70 mods installed, most qol and mods to make the game harder and it is a so different experience, to anyone afraid to mod too much there is no such thing.

Here's my alternate list of mods to the kinds of mods he presented. I play this game on the console so all these mods can be find on the beth site. Sue me. One more thing, I only play survival mode so these mods may have a bias for that.
1. Personally I like how in survival you can't just save on the fly, but only being able to save with beds is a bit much.
--Survival saving holotapes, this puts holotapes in the rng pool. Which will save once each. They're not super common, but you may get quite a collection if you're a snoopy player.
--Survival quick save - sleep til bedtime, is great for when the bugs in the game are being an absolute misery. Just go to aids list and this will pop a save.
2. Personally don't like how spongy enemies are, but I also don't like how damage is handled in straight multipliers. I only have one mod for this, but I think it's something everyone should be aware of.
--Tifa lite, a fantastic mod for survival mode. Be advised it does remove legendary NPCs. This is also (as the title suggests) the lite version of the mod. I don't use anything else so I can't tell you how they go. This mod will remove health point bonuses when leveling up. Does the same for NPCs as well. So unless you use an effect in the game you'll start with just a hundred points and you'll stay there to the end. Endurance will still add on to that base health. The mod does a cool thing where it handles health and damage differently for each type of NPC. The mod does nothing armor, but because of how higher tier NPCs will be equipped with more armor they'll be tougher that way and not because they're just straight sponges. That applies to you too. Towards the later half you'll notice decent armor will keep you alive.
Humans will be at the regular amount of around 100. Ghouls are actually a bit spongey, but with probably the most interesting mechanics. They;re the easiest to cripple and their heads do crit damage. So they're almost just like zombies. Just about all, but the very top half of the tier list of ghouls will die in 1 one shot. Don't be dissuaded those top ghouls will die in the 2nd or 3rd headshot. Supermutants are actually still spongey compared to humans. Not all that much more, but still it'll require a several more rounds than humans. All robot NPCs will be rather spongey against ballistic weapons. Use energy based and they're cheese. Be advised each robot type will have their own health pool amount so don't think a sentry bot or securibot will be just as easy as a mr gutsy.
Even though I'm not into ultra-hardcore mods, I like the list you made. I have some of them in my list of FO4 mods to get when I eventually get a gaming PC since I've only played the game on Xbox. Also thanks to your list, I finally found the mod I wanted to try for my future PC, the 'Level Up Menu Ex' which was something I think should've been in the game since release.
I think it would be cool if you made a 'Fallout 4 Beginners video on Mod Essentials' and a 'Ultimate Modlist For Skyrim' since people may want to try modding, but may not know where to start.

I have to admit, none of these were my particular playstyle (I like the story, don't want to break my game with lots of mods, and find the game PLENTY difficult enough already thanks!), but I totally respect the effort you put into finding these mods and showing them off, and I admit they'd probably be a lot of fun to WATCH. Which, since I'm really into LPs, still made the video useful to me, so good shout! :D Besides, I just like seeing all the incredible effort people put into making this game something new and different.
