Walking is such a wonderful choice! It’s low impact, easy on the joints, and still a great way to support heart health and lower blood pressure. Keep enjoying those walks-you’re doing amazing things for your body! 💪🏾
Plank for sure. I don't have high blood pressure as I do workout at intervals as low as 3 mins, but mostly 10-15 mins. It is good that you are teaching and I trust that people will adapt to exercise as it is one of the best medicine that is free. It does the body good.
Hi. Suggestions for seniors. Particularly not getting on the floor. I exercise at least 5 days a week along with light strength training. Put in my earbuds dance to my sirius radio while doing tasks in my home. Start at 15, then increase 20, 30, or maybe 45 minutes, various movements. I even move, light march in place, while brushing my teeth. JUST MOVE. Thanks❤
Hiking used to be my favorite activity, whether on my own or with my kids. However, I’ve been facing some challenges with my mobility lately, so these days, yoga is starting to look like a great option!
Never thought about aerobic vs anaerobic till I was told to start monitoring my blood pressure. I use ab rollers and do wall sits for resistance training. I do regular walks and xc skiing in winter for fun and fitness.
I have tried all of the exercises mentioned to lower blood pressure. My problem is that I have difficulty sleeping which contributes towards my high blood pressure. Do you have any sleeping tips?
I love this video! Well I love all of your videos 😊. This hit home because I noticed my blood pressure have been slightly high for the last month. I have appointment to see my doctor. But in the meantime I want to get it under control before seeing him because I DO NOT want to get on medication. And I know most likely that will be the first thing he suggests. 😢. I try a remedy from one of your previous videos. Drinking beet juice. I am so amazed by the results every since I’ve been drinking it my blood pressure has been normalized. But I don’t want to over drink because I was told that it also could cause kidney stones. But again I will discuss all of this with my doctor. Thanks Dr. Frita for all of you advice.
#7 Alternate nostril breathing was a technique I had never heard of. Dr. Frita, thank you for your service. I have been sharing your videos with my family group of about 40 people. Thanks again for these great tips!
My favorite exercises use to be walking and dancing. Now I like standing on a vibration plate machine because I have Osteoarthritis in one knee so the pain limits me. I would like to start dancing again a little, also incorporating some of the yoga poses, tai chi and squats.

Thank you. I experience high blood pressure, and have been prescribed meds. I’m sensitive to the meds - and have tried others to find what works for me. Yes, the pills do work, as far as the numbers go, although I feel horrible on them, which translates to my non-compliance, essentially, and ticks off my doctor for not doing what he says. I get that - but he’s not living in my skin. Anyway, I greatly appreciate that you - a medical doctor specializing in this area - are saying out loud that we can control our blood pressure naturally. One thing that I run into, whenever I open my mouth to say that I want to address this in a natural way. Is the “you’re not a doctor” phrase. That is true. I’m not a doctor. I’m not an expert on anything except knowing what it feels like to be me 24-7. So, thank you for “having my back” in terms of supporting the natural solutions that ARE possible. I appreciate that validation from your licensed, board certified, medical perspective more than I can express. Cheers!
That’s fantastic! I’m so glad you’ve already started incorporating some of the exercises. Keep listening to your body and adding new ones at your own pace. Be well and keep up the amazing work!
