Hows it going folks, bit of a bummer announcement to make. As much as i love going to shows, just not in the best shape to keep doing them. Hopefully we will get back on track soon and grt back to running shows and meeting you guys!
My health has been bad too and taking care of yourself is really important. I’ve currently run myself ragged so I know how hard it is to make health a priority.

I'm sorry to hear all of this, Dakotah! I obviously don't know your specifics but I have chronic pain that's getting worse and worse and no one knows what it is / won't approve any kind of surgery to MAYBE alleviate some pain. My quality of life is shrinking by the day.
Bottom line is you gotta take care of you. We'll still be here!

As someone who works in mental health..... At this juncture in life, you've got to prioritize YOU!!!! Most don't realize that your mental, physical and emotional health are all interconnected. When you're off in one of those aspects, you over compensate in another and there's no healthiness and in turn your start to physiologically break down. Dakota take care of yourself brotha! Wake up prioritizing number in your life aka YOU.....go to bed prioritizing number one aka YOU. If you're not doing good, you can't show up wholly for those around you let alone your animals and business.

I know it’s not necessarily a positive BUT one of the reasons I’ve religiously followed your channel, aside from a mutual love of reptiles, is that I suffer from Chronic Illness (I have lupus, rheumatoid arthritis & chronic migraines) and you’ve made me realize that it’s OK to love and keep reptiles even if you struggle with severe health issues. I’m also homebound quite often and when I am able to adventure I spend a week or more recovering……but even in the worst times, my creatures get me up everyday because they need me❤
Late to this video but I believe the reptile keeping need this I believe amen breeding reptiles should be kept in natural habitats to the best of our abilities

I get firsthand how health seems to get in the way of plans. It feels like such a setback and really sucks. I’m pretty stubborn and will run myself to the ground until I can’t anymore. I’ve ended up in the er a few times from pushing myself too hard and it certainly wasn’t one of my greatest choices. A lot of money, years, and several seasoned professionals later…they’re still trying to figure out what’s going on. A lot of abnormal results but no root issue. I’m not sure whether the unknown is harder on my mental health or the countless doctor appointments. The point is you’re not alone and it’s ok to put your health first, your business will end up doing better because of it in the long run. I’m excited to see what new plans you have as I am sure many others are! Thanks for keeping it real, I really resonated with this one 💯

Hey I'm sorry to hear this, it's good you're being honest about your health issues and I definitely feel the shitty situation the US Healthcare system puts you into where it's too expensive to get tests let alone even afford health insurance in the first place. You get referred to this place then that then this, waiting to get testing done takes months and more months to get any answers, the answers you do get bring up more questions and treatment consists of just let's try this medication if you feel worse or don't get better let's try different drugs and more bad side effects ect, it's just fucked.
I'm sorry to hear you've had so many setbacks with your housing situation while back or maybe you're still dealing with it with the lack of insulation and your health as well. You're still keeping at it though which is commendable, but the most important thing is you still have your family. At the end of the day just hang onto your support system and hang onto your faith.

Sound likes depression, i feel like that a lot but i gotta force myself to get to do stuff i wanted to do. it's a struggle >.< Also anxiety make you feel that way to.
If you're expanding in the bioactive scene by selling plants and isopods then get species that are easy to reproduce. The easiest plants to propagate are pathos, Monstera Adenosi, Begonia Maculata, ect. As far as isopods the powder blue and orange really reproduce so fast! Mental health is just as debilitating as a physical illness. I just started turning my hobby into a business. I am trying to get on disability, but my ADHD Paralysis can really hinder me getting things done in addition to my Auto Immune disorders. Anxiety can really tap you out on social interactions too, you are fortunate to have a support system. Keep trying, thank you for your content. Seeing your human side makes you more relatable. Have you thought about partnering with another vendor to have them sell your animals at their table for you and you just give them a percentage for their time?

Hey friend.... first of all... You are so very relatable! Thank you for being so open about your diagnosis. I was once diagnosed with BPD, but now I have re-diagnosed with C-PTSD. I have done a ton of digging on both, and they are very similar in a lot of ways. The stigma is awful. I had a lot of shame around that in the beginning... but I realized it does not define you, and it is not a choice. It is just one little facet of you that makes you perfectly unique. Regardless, I relate to you and am always here if you just need a friend to vent to (or anyone reading this). You are not alone.
2nd... I have been doing bioactive for several years now and love it! I was inspired by the biodude years ago. All my pets are bioactive and the majority of my breeders are there... and I keep working on them as funds appear.
3rd... I think I was the one that saw you about 9:15 when I bought half of your springtails and told you about the person with the same exact name as you that came and bought rodents from me and my friend. It was so crazy. I thought you looked a little off. Could it be anxiety? I used to have panic attacks, but they are finally under control with medication.
Anywho... I love seeing you and Casey at the shows... I think you are both cool AF. I hope you can figure it out, but I am glad you have a great support system... and if you ever need anything, count me in as part of that support system.

I think you do amazing things, but you need to diversify. I watched for long time but im just not that into geckos. Im more lilizards and snakes, but then not the common stuff like cresties, ball pythons.... i think if you do what your doing but add some diversity you will gain more and be happy😊
