Crested Geckos are known for their easy diet. Instead of eating bugs all the time, they prefer fruit. Although they will eat bugs occasionally, they do mostly eat fruit.
And I’ve noticed that they go through phases. Sometimes, they will completely ignore a cricket and just stare blankly at them. Other times, they love a lot of crickets. I also know Pangea has a insect flavor so maybe that’s a good option. My Crested geckos love the watermelon flavor. And they definitely don’t always want bugs. Unlike other geckos they are not attracted to things that move. I personally don’t really know how they find their food, but I believe it is their sense of smell. Please do consider some other options than just feeding the insects all the time.

Watching egg development is so satisfying! With mammal gastration, we need specialized cameras and sonar to see a fuzzy bean. But with eggs , shine a light from a cheap flashlight, and boom! Baby. I just think all that pulsating blood vessels are neat.

my cresty is now 20 years old and has never eaten "meat". he refuses and crickets, worms, or whatever. he lives on gecko diet and baby food. just lost his tail a year ago and i thought it was time, but he's still kickin'. not jumping much anymore though, my little old man.
It's apparently really really hard to get cresties to start eating insects if they didn't start while they where young which is a shame because recent studies show that they should be eating more insects than a lot of the previous care guides recommend, it does mean that a lot of the brands that make powdered formulas have started adding insect proteins to their recipes though which is nice since that's what a lot of cresties are most familiar with

I may be a tad bit too invested in these adorable little guys. It's 4am and I'm standing in my kitchen saying, "get him, get him!" louder than I should be at this time. And when that sweet, little guy hunted down that cricket and chomped down on that tasty meal, I threw my hands I the air and started jumping up and down yelling, "Yesssss!" Luckily, I'm alone here, but I do wonder what my neighbors think? 😂
When I got my bully pitt I started crying because she was so tiny and infected with worms. Luckily I specialize in homeopathic medication for humans and dogs. I'm the reason she breathes gave her some regular de-wormer and gave her herbs to help her along the way too. She is my blessing 80 pounds of love that will lick your face off
I got my leopard gecko from the same situation except I work at the pet store it happened. I knew nothing about incubating leopard gecko eggs but did so much research and made a very sus but working incubator. My little dude is now almost 3 months old and going strong :D
Watching your videos are actually very helpful, I now know that tanks with screen tops are not ideal, I used to have one and my snake had a very tough time shedding despite me misting the enclosure and having areas for the snake to rub off the shed
