This is the first interview I watched with Dr. Mindy. Steven hit it with all of his questions. Still to this day, after I learned so much about fasting, hormons, circadian rhythm, longevity, RTL, HRT, and so much more I still go back to the interview that changed my life. 💚🙏🏻🦋

Women aren’t taught this information either. Why aren’t PCPs or OB/GYNs educating their patients?

Probably because their instructors aren't educating them either.

I get them pretty bad too. I've been looking into it, because this is something that has just started with me, and the only thing I can seem to find, is that it's a stage of perimenopause. I've been looking more into this because the migraines are pretty bad before and during my periods. Getting older is so much fun😔

@DrMindyPelz 🙏 specifically what minerals are needed for left temple menstrual migraines. My family have had them back through to my great Nan and I'm sick of wasting days every month of being in pain and would love to know what to do to be free of them. Mine can be the day before OR 2-3 days into my period. So it's not even a set thing...??

A period is NOT one size fits all. 🙈🙈🙈Many of us have dysmenorrhea and would pass out if fasting while bleeding, working, studying and raising our children.

That blood & iron has already been out of your system for weeks by the time you start bleeding. In fact, the only time in your cycle that you aren't actively losing blood/iron from circulation is the time-frame just before & during menstruation when the lining of the uterus isn't actively being built up.

@drpindypelz Just turned 40 and have been on oral birth control with very little breaks since my mid-twenties. Still currently on it and experience acne and hair loss when I go off. I feel so lost, especially how to incorporate your fasting guidelines since I don’t currently have a true cycle or even a legitimate period, just a pill bleed. Do you have content for those still on birth control but also approaching perimenopause?

Hi there, day 1 of your cycle is a full bleed day (no spotting). In Dr. Mindy's new book Eat Like A Girl, she provides a chart of symptoms (like spotting before your period starts) and how to honor your hormones with food or fasting. • @DrMindyPelz

You can do the 30 Day Reset as outlined in Dr Mindy's book, Fast like a Girl, using the 'New Moon' as your Day 1 (use search engine to find the day of new moon) or you can do a weekly variation like the 5-1-1 or the 4-2-1 Protocol.
The 5-1-1 is 5 Days of various fasting lengths, 1 Day of 24 hours fasting and 1 Day of NO fasting. In the 4-2-1 it is 4 Days of various fasting lengths, 2 Days of long fasts and 1 Day of 24 hour fasting.

@@namastesumerced3858 Just manipulate it with progesterone. Look at the lunar calendar, What I did was look at the first day of my last cycle and count 15 days. From that 15th day to two days before the new moon I applied a wild yam progesterone cream to inner thigh or inner arm where skin is thinnest. After stopping progesterone menses began 48 hours later. I manipulated it a couple of months to set the new “clock” and the rest was history, I went through menopause at 50 like a CHAMP!! I’m a holistic mother of 8 and never used hormone-based birth control. There’s a price to pay for that stuff.
