My mother will be 102 this Saturday, December 21st!! I'm her youngest of 12 children & I'm 56. She's living all by herself on our family farm where I grew up. 😊 Family members bathe her weekly, neighbors take her to Mass. She cooks for herself etc. She is clear minded, does have hearing aids & now needs a magnifying glass. She says God keeps her here to pray for all of us! She is definitely a prayer warrior! We can do this ladies!😊😊

You need to talk about vagina and vulva health. I can tell you right now women are suffering with undiagnosed lichen sclerosus because doctors, even gyn doctors blow you off saying it's yeast infection and old age. It sometimes takes years of pain to finally get diagnosed.
I had never heard of this condition, and it takes a huge toll on mental health, intimacy, and physical health.

I searched Dr Mindy and HRT today because I had a moment where I thought being on it was the wrong thing. I’m glad I watched this today. My dr has just upped my oestrogen as she says it could help stable my womb…. I’m on mirena coil but it seems to stop doing it’s job after a couple years this is my second one. I bleed every few weeks again and it getting heavier each time the reason I went on coil was for perimenopausal bleeding. I couldn’t leave the house for 2 days. I’m just concerned I’m not getting the progesterone if it was working once but now not. I go back in a month as she said she may up the progesterone too but see it upping the HRT worked first. It doesn’t seem to be 😔. I wish I had been educated better even before 40 because at 40 I felt like I hit a bus ! I’m 54 now and feel so low from not feeling right. I’m fasting eating healthier I just need to start my weight training again but my work is physical and exhausts me enough. I taking each day as it comes and feel stronger that I will achieve, eventually. Especially coming here for great advice 🙌

I have been teaching women’s bible studies. Now as a 63 year old I am committed to teaching the younger women (30s) about menopause. Both of you have given me push and directing women to you. Bought your book and will start using that as my new study with the ladies. Oh I also had a talk with the men in our small group that they too need to be educated. Thank you I started menopause at 36 finished at 40. I had no idea what to do but chose to go all natural and let it take its course. I was unbearable at times. I want to help as well.

I am very glad that we are talking about menopause and we need to talk openly about changes and not to rely only on GP opinions.I am so sorry that my mum had to suffer in silence. When I was in my forties, my dr. asked me about the menopause. I found this weird as I thought that I needed to be sixty and I was only forty. Fortunately for me I had a brain haemorrhage late forty years old and the attention changed to keeping me alive. Well this situation ment that I menstruated until I was 57 years old. Normally never heard of. I remember my mum saying to me that I could still get pregnant. I did not want to take HRT because stats were saying at that time,23 women out of a thousand women would get breaast cancer. Too high for me at that time, as I was the 1% that had such a severe brain haemorrhage. I was in a coma for a month and when I awoke I did not recognize my own daughter or remember that I had a job. It's not until my daughter was clearing out my stuff from work😢 that I remembered that I worked.

I had a hysterectomy at 44. It was a complicated surgery x 2. There was no follow up appointment booked as promised, I wasn't prescribed hrt, I couldn't afford to see my GP. I asked for the follow up appointment and they said that I no longer had reproductive organs and was not eligible to see the doctor again. Mentally I was so lost and confused and exhausted, I was depressed, angry, couldn't sleep, couldn't concentrate, I was having the hot flushes and waking up in a pool of sweat and I thought people were thinking I was on something because I couldn't put words together. I was a mess. I quit my job and couldn't keep another, destroyed relationships and even made solid plans to not be here anymore. I didn't recognize myself and I hated being a woman. That was 4 years ago. Here I am, still unemployed, but I'm just starting to feel a little bit normal. I've taken some time to understand this version of me and I've just started reading your book, Dr Mindy, Fast like a girl, and I'm ready to start as soon as I'm done. I'm so happy I found your channel because I feel like you and your guests fully understand the female mind and body. I feel like my doctor (who is a lovely person) only understands how to treat my symptoms, and that's not fixing anything, so I thank you so very much! There is not enough information for menopause survival out there! But thanks to you, I feel hopeful!

My heart went crazy when menopause started so she gave me hrt which helped my heart but brought back period like migraines..i couldn't deal with that. My heart settled down. 10 years post period i am actually a little cold this winter...first time in years .i can wear sweaters again ..sort of. My mother and aunt were on hrt until their 80s ..they said it wasnt fair because of the hrt they still wanted sex but the husbands couldn't perform. My aunt died at 90 and its my mom's 98 th birthday today. She started with dementia around 95 and now its pretty full blown..she was not frail and demented at 80..but again she was on hrt until 83

Surprisingly I never experienced any of the "symptoms" women are supposed to get when they reach menopause. Never had any hot flashes, night sweats, UTI's or whatever. Maybe I'd been too busy to even notice but it intrigues me when women I know keep focusing on that and look for it then they believe they have it then look for a treatment. For me menopause had been a non-event, except I didn't have to buy pads anymore. No change to lifestyle, still hitting the gym, still doing yoga, cardio and weights. Will continue to work.

I watched your videos earlier this year and they led me to try HRT. Unfortunately, I had lots of pain and bloating that resulted within 6 to 8 weeks and had to discontinue it. My brain could use the help that HRT seems to promise. What are my other choices? I teach dance, and therefore have an active profession, I exercise, some weightlifting. I’m continually trying to clean up my diet and the products I use. What else can I do?

I’m 54. I am a mess. I’m in pain most of the time. I’m confused, very forgetful and beyond exhausted, wondering what the hell I’m doing here. What can I take (naturally, holistically ) in place of estrogen and progesterone? What can I do to shrink my fibroids and what to use for the horrible pain. And does menopause ever end? I’m taking ashwaganda for the rage and it’s working. Just started beam minerals 3 days ago. I would love natural remedies if u have some. Please respond. I’m desperate.

Oh how I wish I could tolerate estrogen. Whether it be the patch OR the cream, it disrupts my gut so horribly. Constipation that’s so bad, even laxatives barely make me go. My gut health goes way downhill so badly. I don’t understand why estrogen does this to me. I have no issues with micronized progesterone though, NONE.
Trust me, it’s the estrogen that does it to me. I have months of experimenting with it.
Not only does it cause severe constipation, it raises my stress levels to the point that I can’t even tolerate caffeine. No estrogen, I can drink coffee like water. With estrogen, coffee causes high heart rate, teeth clenching stress.

I will probably go back to Barbara Hoffman on youtube...her products I did have success on, but I was hoping HRT would help.
