Hahaha yeeeeeeeeah The ironic thing is I actually need to play her next whenever I get back to the next multiverse video, but I still had to make the joke 😂
I love that you picked Deadpool's video to be the one where you showed us how you make your videos! I really enjoyed the intro where you walked us through your process of using OBS, building slideshows, and making videos. And of course, who isn't excited to talk about Deadpool! Thanks for the video, as always!
Thank you so much! I’m really glad to hear that. I felt like that part went a little too long, but I wanted to break the 4th wall for this one of course so I’m happy to hear that it landed all right. 🙏😊 And yes it’s very very exciting!
Great video. Something I haven't seen talked much about for Deadpool is the new Specialized Training player side schemes that comes with X-23 - when it's cleared, you can get the linked upgrade that boosts hp and draws you a card when you take damage from an attack. I think this will be excellent for Deadpool since you can just clear its 5 threat with Yoo-Hoo. You can even play alongside Cable, have him grab it turn 1, and gurantee the two of you being easily able to clear it this way in 2-player. Also loved the OBS stuff. I've actually been working on stuff for UA-cam and had 20+ slides ready for a very ambitious Deadpool deck-building video! Jumping in at the deep end as it were. But I came down ill on Monday and have been unable to try recording 😅
Oh wow yeah great point! I hadn’t actually thought ahead of any of the new cards, and every single way to boost his health will be useful 👍👍 So excited to hear that! Have you gotten your channel set up yet? Theres a brief verification process than can delay your first video if you don’t get it done ahead of time
I just wanted to point out that "Great Responsibility" says " When any amount of threat would be placed..." and the first thing that happens at the start of the Villain Phase is the placing of threat on the main scheme, so "Great Responsibility" can be the perfect counter to Deadpool's acceleration counters. Granted, it would require a high health hero with plenty of healing in their deck but it also gets around the Crisis Icon since it's NOT a thwart and not removing threat, it's preventing it being placed in the first place. Just some thoughts that occurred to me as I watched your video. Good work, enjoyed your presentation, the proxy cards and showing possible combo cards was very informative. 👍
Thank you for the kind words! And that’s a fantastic call, Great Responsibility to prevent 3 or 4 threat being added is super worth it, and if it’s Deadpool himself cleaning up his own mess that just sets up an even bigger This Card Is Fire!
I think well see more mini aspects in the future. More thematic than just Agression or Leadership. This reminds me of the mini factions in netrunner. I can see an aspect geared towards being a secret skrull or getting turned into a vampire. Just one a nd done card pool dumps that migght get fleshed out later.
Thanks for the kind words! Yeah I thought this would be a good one to pull back the curtain a little bit (or 4th wall as it were). Agreed! I absolutely cannot wait to see the rest of the cards and start trying them in older heroes!
Great video and the timing could not be better. I am playing with my copy of Deadpool against Rhino Standard and Expert with the Legions of Hydra put in for a change and I was deck building in-between games and you were talking about Armed To The Teeth and even though I had used the card twice before I put your video on I had not spotted the lines on the card stating any Aspect in your collection so thank you for the tip and thank you for the suggested weapon of a Sonic Rifle; it worked a treat.
Ooo nice! Yeah Sonic Rifle has been my go to for sure, but it’s cool that you get to decide in the moment in case a Hand Cannon would be better for the situation
Valkyrie shade. I love it. As does D20 😂 So if my math is right (which it probably isn’t) being at 1 health + Symbiote Suit + Endurance + Mutant Education + X-Mansion + Moira McTaggert + This Card is Fire + Ready to Rumble + Basic ATK would result in a 48 hit turn right? And an extra card left over I think. That would be a lot to setup, but would be enough to one shot Ronan on standard.
Haha sounds right to me! Even if it’s off by a little the potential he has is insane, especially with access to all those helpful things like Mutant Education and Moira adding to the consistency and resources available
This is by far the hero pack I’m most excited for, all the cards look like a blast, and I’m super relieved they didn’t go in the direction of fourth wall breaking, dexterity based shenanigans like many other cards games do (marvel United, unmatched, etc.). I was worried though that pool cards wouldn’t come out in any other hero packs, then I realised this might tease a gwenpool release soon as well which would be interesting.
The release of Gwenpool could be great as that would be another champions trained character as well, which could see the release of more cards for them
“Cable on the table.” lol I think Thor could be very interesting with the ‘Pool aspect. He might almost hope to see Dreadpool to have a guaranteed 2-card draw every turn that you “defeat” him.
😂😂 Oh good call on Thor! I’m very excited to go back and try these cards in other heroes. Weirdly Deadpool is like the last hero I want to use them in lol. He’s already way too risky as it is, I wanna run him with something solid
20:40 actually someone that gets it unlike others, Deadpool doesnt really care all that much about acc tokens, if you get +1 or +4 on the main scheme in step 1 of vilain phase doesnt really matter(ofc it shouldnt pop in step1 right away tho) , because he either completly clears it(Yoo-hoo) or let it pop(by going alter ego and letting the villain scheme, before the finishing turn), or simply ends the game at this point because of his burst damage. 24:05: good point, a lot of people think of it as "i have to get to this point, because its in his kit", but you dont have to, you can go "slow" till you can secure the win with his burst damage(its absurd, i dont think it was intented). I do love the flavor text and the artwork is fantastic on these cards too. Yep! That’s why I was careful to say “most of the time” he’s unkillable lol. I’ve been playing around with the cards I printed up and I’ve bumped into at least one way: the Kraken 😱
If we ever got more 'Pool aspect cards, then the pack with them would also have to come with the Dreadpool set. So in some ways I hope we don't see more because I don't want more copies of the same modular set. But of course I hope we do get more becuase more cards is always good, especially to expand on a very limited aspect.

I hadn’t considered that. I’ve been wondering whether they would give some support to it or if it would be a one-off. Your point makes me think it’s more likely the latter. Not definitive, of course, but that coupled with the fact that FFG have done this mini-faction thing before in other LCGs as one-offs make it seem to be the case.
Not sure how I feel about the new aspect. I feel like it’s pretty late in the game to add one. And it feels too specific to Deadpool to support much more in the future
Right. I’ll be surprised if we see more Pool cards, but I think it would be cool if we see more mini aspects down the line! Only once in awhile of course as I wouldn’t want the main aspects to slow down too much but it’s certainly an interesting way to spice things up. Especially for older heroes who have already played all the old archetypes. We haven’t seen much of Pool yet but there could potentially be some very interesting builds for old heroes in there 🤞
Yep. A few cars and villains deal damage even in alter ego form. Imagine being defeated with an attack. Dead pool switches to Wade with 1 health. And then the encounter card deals damage to you even in alter ego. That’s a bye bye 🙈. Some thing to watch out for
I can’t even comment on this, it would be too long. I LOVE Deadpool (from the movies, haven’t read any of his comics). So I’ll just sum this up as GENIUS (from the angles of fun and fresh). And I’m so happy I’ve called dibs on Deadpool long ago. Great video as always, thanks! 👏😁
Haha thanks buddy! Yeah Tony looks to have knocked this whole wave outta the park! And Deadpool most of all maybe, with perfectly capturing his theme, and the whole new aspect. So good.
😂😂😂 Yeah he didn’t benefit much from this lol. Would’ve been cool if they could’ve cooked up a suggested hero power to go with it but I’d rather they spend their time working on cool new stuff than figuring out how to match up old not very popular hero’s with the cool new stuff 😆
I do not care for Deadpool as a hero, maybe even dislike him a little. Also the movies are not that great, imo. But for Marvel Champions it's the other way around. I'm curious in playing Deadpool, his hero card's and his power are so different. But I do not like the Pool aspect. Just like you said, not everybody will buy Deadpool so they probably would not sprinkle more cards in other packs. And also the name: "Pool" aspect, is so binding it to the Pool characters instead of a generic name. I'm m thinking about skipping this pack just because of the Pool aspect. 😅 Maybe coming back to it when we see what the will make of it in the long run.
That’s totally fair! I’m pretty middling on both the character and the theming of the Pool cards myself. There’s a lot of speculation that rather than adding more to Pool, we might just see more mini aspects down the road. As long as each one has enough cards to provide multiple deck building options then that is a very exciting prospect!
oh boy... oh boy.. oh boy... sigh... deep breath... so FF is continuing to make content that is more and more powerful then anything before this... can not die.... able to draw any one of his hero cards out of this deck for free.... sigh... I sound like a broken record but this is out of control. Everyone should probably just take all of your Hawkeye, Hulk, she-hulk, Black Widow, and Valkyrie cards and just have a big old bonfire... Why would anyone play with those out of date, worthless, boring cards when you could play a hero that can't die and can draw out a card at will from his deck... I think I am officially done with this game...
You are right that there is power creep but most of the power creep is with these fun heroes (spider ham namely). Other than those 2 though, the creep isn't as high as it could be.
Well first I will still play with those other heroes, Deadpool won't change that. And second I would argue that Deadpool is balanced by the fact that he will likely make the villain threat out before he hits zero hp anyway.
Why would you let one hero pack ruin your enjoyment for a game? He suits a very particular play style anyway which is rush. If you don't like to rush, play with someone else. He does offer some new variety to the game which is a good thing, just because you don't like this doesn't mean someone else won't love it. I think people forget that each pack isn't made for the same person, they each suit different play styles, if one doesn't suit yours don't play it. Yes Deadpool is strong but he is balanced out with very obvious weaknesses. Just like his character in the comics, he can't die but his recklessness and shenanigans means the villain will achieve their plan before he stops them. I think this deck will play more high risk high reward then people think
The old cards aren't outdated. In fact, She Hulk just got a massive buff due to new rules clarification that makes it easy for you to attack with superhuman strength without discarding it. You can have 7+ atk for the rest of the game as long as the villain is stalwart, stunned, or you attack a minion
Sorry to hear you feel that way buddy! I don’t actually think Deadpool is overpowered. He has really strong abilities but he also has huge glaring weaknesses. He’s more about big moments and spectacular failures then he is winning games consistently. Plus the new Pool cards can give lots of good reasons to go back and play those old heroes in fun new ways!
OMG the Valkyrie jab... "Just some cards that were laying around and I wasn't really making any use of anyway"
Hahaha yeeeeeeeeah
The ironic thing is I actually need to play her next whenever I get back to the next multiverse video, but I still had to make the joke 😂

It would still work on minions like Dreadpool since he’s not a villain.
Yep as Atlas says, it only doesn’t work against the Villain specifically. Which is good because it would break a lot of scenarios lol
One thing I just noticed is the Git Gud says "When a player (not just your hero) would be defeated" so in multiplayer this card will be amazing!

oh boy... oh boy.. oh boy... sigh... deep breath... so FF is continuing to make content that is more and more powerful then anything before this... can not die.... able to draw any one of his hero cards out of this deck for free....
