This was fantastic! Thanks again for both kicking off my series with Shadowcat and ending it here with Rogue. I think you played it great too, I wouldn't worry one bit about if you made the optimal plays or not - with so much card draw and event tutoring it isn't worth worrying about until you're up against something like Expert Ronan, there's just so many possibilities. Fast fun beats a slow headache every time. You couldn't have shown it off better!

45:42 Touched should had been aside because you switched to AE, so you would've lost one of your resource generators instead.

Haha I was in the same boat. I knew I liked her but just kept not playing her as much as I should. So glad this deck came around to correct that!

You definitely should! It’s super fun, and really strong. I took it up against Ronan standard just to see and I got a win
I ended up playing a few standard games each of Risky Business, Sabertooth, and a game of Ronan.
All W’s, but you are correct in there being almost too many choices, which just ended up being stressful 😂
More often than not my hands just didn’t draw well. But even then, there was a ton of damage and control in this deck.
I kept drawing hands of nearly all resources, so Machine Man was clutch.
Plan B would work well with this deck, a lot of leftover pieces each turn
@@OhBotherGamingooo yeah I just love Machine Man as a fixer. I wouldn’t be surprised if Villain had Plan B in the deck at one time or another because I know he really likes that card 🤔
You handled the tough correctly, because tough is only removed if damage is dealt.
Ok cool. I was just a little concerned since Tough usually takes timing priority over Interrupts but in this case the Interrupt would’ve resolved before the Tough even noticed anything was happening lol so

@@GetUpandGame Oooh yeah, new reference places status before force interrupt. So I guess both would have been removed.
@@salsatheone well I think I did it right. Because Temporal Shield triggers when Kang is attacked. So it happened immediately upon me exhausting Beast to attack him, but before any damage even enters the equation. So before damage would even be dealt the effect on the Shield takes place, which means it’s discarded and it’s going to prevent all the damage. So then there is no damage during that step, which means Tough doesn’t need to come into play
This was fun! I watched this a while ago, but forgot to comment. Good to see Rogue, she’s technically on my roster, I just don’t know when I’ll ever get around to playing her 😂

You did miss a threat early in the game because the boost card added a tough. Other than that, looked pretty clean.
Today I learned you can just replace allies with a new ally 😮
I thought they had to be defeated to be replaced.. thanks for that 👊🏾
Hey cool, always good to learn something new! Yep, you’re allowed to replace allies , and also restricted upgrades for that matter. The one thing you can’t do along these lines is put a unique card in if there’s already one on the table somewhere. So like if someone else has Nick, another player couldn’t also play Nick and just have the other person discard there’s

(blushing): I hate failure so much, so I, too, tried to keep the Dominion side scheme out of the game. I never considered it might be easier to deal with that rather than defeat the Stage II Kangs. Ha! Thanks for the education as always. Nice to see a new video drop! .

Another great video. A couple of comments:
1. Kang is good solo. The random phase 2 version makes it fresh each time, I'm sure it was inspiration for Mansion Attack.
2. Anna Marie has a setup to put Touched aside, so you dont have the issue of having it end up in your starting hand.
3. Rogue is really good solo, the easy status access is super powerful. I think most people who don't like her solo (similar to Kang) can only see what they aren't getting compared to multiplayer, instead of what they do get.
Thanks buddy! For the setup thing, since Touched doesn’t have Permanent I was under the impression that it gets shuffled into the deck and then the Setup text on Anna Marie is still the final part of setup?
42:50 why replace & not have Beast THW?
I used Beast earlier that round to knock the Temporal Shield off of Kang 🙂
Just a sidenote I don't think you shuffle as soon as the deck is empty, you only shuffle when you need to draw and there are no cards
Hey Salsa! Well I just double checked to be sure and you do indeed reshuffle and deal yourself an encounter card immediately upon the deck emptying. I know in Dominion for example you wait until you need to draw, but here you gotta do it right away 👍

Why is it that you couls play 4 allies without the Triskelion? Am i missing a huge rule here? I thought 3 allies was the max without supports or other special effects.
I had the Stinger ally from the Ant-Man pack, and her text reads that she doesn’t count against your ally limit. So you can have her as an extra 4th ally!
Stinger can only be played if you are an avenger
Yep! But thankfully Rogue’s Touched ability transfers all the Traits from the ally it’s attached to to Rogue, so you can make her an Avenger ☺️

25:00 you skipped retaliate damage?
Ha yeah I kept forgetting that she gets retaliate when Touched is on the villain. I was so focused on Bulletproof Belle I just wasn’t thinking about it 😅
Did you forgot to put rouge touch upgrade in play before you draw your hand
The Touched upgrade doesn’t have the Permanent key word, so it isn’t set aside at the beginning of the game. Anna Marie’s Setup text tells you to go find it and set it aside, but Character Setup abilities don’t take place until after your Mulligan. So technically it’s meant to be in the deck until then.
That being said, many players just keep it aside until the start of the game, and that’s perfectly fine, I just wanted to play it the technically correct way for the video 🙂

I believe you can't use X-Gene in Hero form because Rogue doesn't have the mutant trait. Kind of silly though...
Oh, no you can 😊. You have to be a Mutant in order to play it, but once it’s on the table you’re free to use it any time 👍. Same with things like Ingenuity and Quincarrier. As long as you meet the requirements in order to play it you’re good from there
