- New cards! I know Cable and Domino are the new hotness, but you’ve probably already seen them take on this scenario a dozen times by now, so I decided to take an old favorite against the new campaign to see how that shakes out! But now Drax has met his greatest challenge in Mister Sinister. Brute force might not be enough to get the job done against this brilliant schemer!

I am very impressed that you beat this matchup with drax and didnt even need his knife, mantis, or dwi theet. Well played!
Thanks! Yeah a very weird game where I could’ve gotten all his key stuff if I had wanted to and then instead I got none of it ever 😆
Very clever and well thought out ending. Great game. Your planning and strategy are amazing and I wish I had those skills.
You’re too kind! Thankfully you don’t see how much time is spent off camera thinking about how to approach every turn lol. Thanks to the magic of editing it looks like I’m smarter than I am 😅
Wow! So suspenseful! Great job Josh! Man SO good to have you back. Like SO good. Can’t wait to see some of your status of the game type videos. Keep up the great work!!!
Thank Peter!
Ha yeah that’s the trade off isn’t it. It’s easy to make playthroughs. There’s very little work on the front or the back end. Trying to make the talky videos is where it’s still really tricky right now. Which is a shame cause I have a couple things I’d really like to explore. Hopefully I’ll get to something soon
Awesome! This looked so frustrating for Drax but great job on getting the win.
Thanks! I think he probably was very frustrated lol but I greatly enjoyed trying to outrace Sinister. Nothing I was doing was slowing him down so I just needed to finish first!
Awesome video as always.
Thanks buddy!
Great playthrough as ever. Didn't feel like there were many synergies between Drax and Leadership other than Major Victory, but still seems like a strong deck! And this was a tough matchup for Drax, like you said, so I think the switch to Leadership was definitely necessary. Can't wait for Stryfe!
Thanks! Yeah synergy would be a strong word lol, but using Make the Call and Rapid Response to keep Mantis on the table is a recipe for victory. And just the general blue strength of shoring up solo weaknesses allows me to play Drax in scenarios like this where he really had no business being 😆
@@GetUpandGameabsolutely! Yeah, Leadership is definitely strong all round, but solo in particular benefits from its strength. I'm currently loving Leadership Cable!
@@samvisser9408 nice! I know Justice is an obvious fit for Cable but leadership is my jam so that’s probably how I’ll play him as well. Though I do like the idea of maximizing Askani’son with protection as well
Intense! This one was a tough matchup for Drax! Well played sir!
Thank you kindly! And yes they were not kind to the low thwart heroes at the end of this campaign 😅
@@GetUpandGamenot at all 😂 really pushing to the limit. I heard Sinister was kind of like reverse Juggernaut. I think I get that after watching this.
@@wkylegreen oh yeah that’s a fantastic way of putting it!
Great game!
I like when the campaign makes you rethink the strategy so you have to actually change aspects.
I think you did exactly as the developers intended, I had the same issue where I couldn't get all the things the environments usually get me, I had to prioritize the crisis and all the other threat so I had to pump up Hope and get Command Team for multiple activations, and I was playing two handed Cable Justice and Domino Leadership with Adam Warlock.
I totally missed to put two threats on the main scheme when Mr Sinister got Tough, but I can't remember my threat situation at that moment, I was only worried when I wanted to stun or confuse him.
Thanks! Yeah it’s really cool how many different ways you could approach this as long as you were picking up all the rewards along the way. So well done 👍
Eh if you were playing 2 handed then there was probably some room on there for ya
@@GetUpandGame right, I had to make space on both decks for upgrades for Hope, I figured that getting Domino's guns, or the usual allies wouldn't help. What I mean is that I felt the scenario made me pump her up so she was actually the VIP making the heroes kind of irrelevant.
@@guarism0 yeah I can see that. Clearly she’s the focus of the story, and with her being there it feels foolish not to fill your decks with upgrades and readies for Hope
Me. Sinister is my favorite villain in the campaign box
Same! Him and Stryfe are so interesting and fun 🤩
I love the protection build for Drax but just like the protection build for Colossus, threat heavy villains just destroy them. :(
Yep. If you’re gonna play solo you just gotta be willing to cater to the scenario’s demands in order to have any hope of a good game. If I wanna play those 2, or any of the others that are not so great at thwarting then that’s what Justice and leadership are for lol
