    Great review. I am very impressed with your upgrades, improvements and accessories but a little less impressed with the boat itself. I'm sure it is a very good boat, but I'm looking for a great boat if I'm going to start spending even more cash for all of the cool gidgy gadgets and extras you've customized to your Yami.
    You may have inadvertently talked me into an outboard CC. Perhaps in a brand that pays a little more attention to the little details. Not to take anything away from your boat or what you have done. I'm just a little longer in the tooth and my next boat is probably going to be my last boat. I'm not sure I see an overall quality here that is going to be up to the longevity that I'm hoping for. You're still young and probably already have ideas on what you'll do different on your next vessel. You've done great things to this one and your passion comes through for sure. I would like to be able to ask you more about the specifics of your stereo system once I've made a purchase because it seems to me a lot of manufacturers charge a heck of a lot for sometimes pretty mediocre equipment. I don't mind the upcharge so long as the sound reflects what has been spent. It seems to me, you have a pretty good handle on that.
    Overall, an absolutely great and informative half hour. Thank you and cheers!

    Great Review!! Looking to get the 210 in the future, coming from twin outboards, have you run the boat on one engine? I heard you have to block of the cooling line to the non-running engine, just curious if it is able to plane on one engine? Thanks

    • @THEFSHDUDE
      @THEFSHDUDE  2 роки тому +2

      Yes, and you are correct you must either clamp the intake water line or install a valve so that water doesn’t flood the non-running engine. You can get on plane with one engine.

    Looking at buying one and your videos have been really helpful. After owning it for over a year, any regrets (or wants) to have the larger, 252 or 255 model? Do you do any fishing out of it?

    • @THEFSHDUDE
      @THEFSHDUDE  2 роки тому +8

      I have zero regrets. It is the perfect size for myself and my passengers. This boat literally has left me wanting nothing, other than the substantial customization upgrades for my personal preferences LOL. I do fish off of it, both inshore and offshore. The casting platform is a MUST from www.jetboatpilot.com. I highly recommend this boat and even though it is only 21' (Ive owned up to 28') it is still my favorite boat. Im sure I would love the 25' version even more but for my purposes now this is the size style I wanted and needed.

    For the rims:
    I'm in the steel business. Galvanize is not an "architectural coating", meaning it's not supposed to be pretty. It's supposed to provide a protective coating for the steel.
    If you want to make it pretty, you can sand blast them lightly, then have them powdercoated.

    • @THEFSHDUDE
      @THEFSHDUDE  2 роки тому +1

    Do you store this in a public storage or can this fit in your garage. Also wondering why you went for this and not the AR190. Just wanted to get your thoughts on it. Nice video btw!

    • @THEFSHDUDE
      @THEFSHDUDE  4 місяці тому

      This can be stored in your garage with a couple bolts removed from the tower. I also went with this boat because of the functionality of a center consul over a bow rider. This is a hybrid between a bow rider and a center consul and serves multiple functions which I find value in, I also went with the 21 foot because the 19 foot was just small for the bodies of water that I use my boat in as well as the amount of people usually 5 to 8 that I have on my boat.

    I have the same sound system on my 210 after watching your video review on it. I only have 2x6.5s and 2x8s with the 1000 watt amp. I noticed that the amp is killing my house battery after a short period of time (20-30 minutes of moderate volume). I have a starting battery as my house because I bought it before the stereo decision. I want to get a deep cycle battery but I need to keep in mind that it may not help me at all in rescuing my starting battery in an emergency. What did you use as a house battery? I am going to install an onboard NOCO 2 bank charger. I have seen people talking about this on Jet boat forum and the issue seems to be that the engines don't use alternators, but rather stators, to recharge our batteries. they only deliver about 30 amps back at full throttle and that could be partially getting used by the boats other electronics, like fish finders and radio etc...

    • @THEFSHDUDE
      @THEFSHDUDE  Рік тому

      That’s correct, a start battery will not last. I run a deep cycle house and the promariner onboard battery maintainer. 2 years no issues. Play for hours at a time. Deep cycle batteries will help start if you need it to in parallel (emergency switch). The higher the amp hour the battery the better for long lasting audio. I recommend interstate marine deep cycle.

      I absolutely recommend extended warranties. I bought the Y.E.S. one through Yamaha at the time of purchase. Like the old saying goes, especially in boating, "It is better to have it and not need it, rather than need it and not have it." Plus it is transferable.

    I just test drived a 195 FSH, i like the high speed handling, but feels like the control is low speed is not good, and it took the guy five times to get the boat into the trailer, I heard that you can install something to help with low speed steering, because i usually do the side scan for the dock, low speed handling is important to me, can you tell me what do you think about it?
