Engine break-in is extremely critical for the longevity and performance of any engine. Yamaha’s new 1.9-liter engines found in the 2024 Yamaha 222 FSH Sport E are no exception. Please refer to your owner’s manual page 92 for the manufacturers recommended engine break in procedure. Any information I have provided in this video is just personal preference and opinion.

Like it for what we use it for, it’s a great social boat for the bay, lake, swimming, and fishing. I’m looking at getting the Cobra Jet steering system to help with handling. If I was pure fishing I’d buy an outboard powered center console.
