This is a playful mad max rendition of a post apocalyptic home. I designed it more for the harsh environment of the Burningman art festival, where I spent two weeks Nomading around the event.
My website covers this camper and many other small shelters, boats and vehicles that I've built in the past: elkinsdiy.com

This guy is a boss, check this out; this guy discovered a way to be more self sufficient. Not only did he manipulate transportation and shelter for himself. He actually figured out electricity and power consumption in order for him to heat and cook. The camper he uses is small, requiring little effort to move. if you did not get this idea from somewhere else, you definitely inspired others to recreate this in their own fashion. Great video

Well said Buck Wheat. I think subconsciously a lot of folks react the
same way. We buy and collect possessions that we feel will make us
happy, and after a while those possessions turn into boat anchors that
end up weighing us down. I love the saying 'less is more'. It's so true.

      You are wise, Grasshopper!
      I like your balanced perspective.
I heard this on Public Radio. When people are shopping, and they buy something. they get a hit of dopamine, one of the feel good neurotransmitters.
It's the same with video games, like Pokemon Go that is so popular now. I see a lot of teenagers and a few older folks playing Pokemon in the parks at night. Finding a Pokemon gives them a bit of dopamine, but this is all short term satisfaction. Shopping and playing video games are a lot like trying to satisfy a drug addiction.

Cool. The only few things I'd be concerned about are the fumes from the propane cook stove, it needs far better venting in such a tiny space it wouldn't take much for things to go badly, so I'd Install a larger vent or two or else remove it from inside and strictly use it outdoors. If there is ever a big storm with high winds it's not going to stay put, so I'd also consider installing some steel tie downs that can anchor into the ground, bring you a small 2 inch battery operated handheld augar to dig down into the ground, and a make shift anchor and tie down assembly to secure and stabilize during g high winds.

maybe the homeless that are trying to get out of poverty. They could maybe give a deadline to get a job, or start charging low rent like $5 a month and continue to increase the cost overtime. They then will learn to be self sufficient again, boost their confidence, and eventually make a living.

I like it it keeps cost down ( hotels, motels & b&b etc) But, it's not for everyone that's fair enough everyone has there personal preferences. But, here in the u.k something like that someone who has spent sometime & a bit of cash on it the chances of it being kept undamaged is quite slim. Unless it is kept under good security when not being used. Which seems such a shame. But, I suppose that could be in some other countries aswell they could be just as destructive towards something like this. Enjoy your trips (holidays) with it 👍

Yes, it's a shame that someone with ambition and a strong work ethic cannot take something like this to a camp ground and leave it unattended. Why can't people just be honest? Usually it is someone without ambition or brains or integrity that preys on those who do.

It depends. Most times something unusual will receive attention, fascination and respect. It's young adults and kids who do most of the damage. An example is when I build a sand sculpture and leave it for a few hours. I've seen little kids just come up and tromp on them with glee in their faces. WTF??? But hey, they're kids...
