This is my low cost bicycle camper made with small boards, bamboo and canvas cover. More information on my website here: elkinsdiy.com/conestoga-bicyc...
I like this! Could use bent pvc or pex if there's no access to green bamboo or flexible branches. I like how easy organic shapes would be compared to panel construction.
Everything you make is just so simple yet elegant, every little detail is well thought out for maximum utility & ease of use. I wish the tech world had engineers with your design philosophy.
We should be making these for the homeless. The gift of a dry comfortable place to sleep is huge, through in mobility and it could really make someone's life better.
While bicycle touring I have thought a lot about a trailer/camper. My idea was a foldable one. But at the end I decided it was easier to buy a new tent, smaller and lighter than the one I had before. I still need to walk and push the bicycle when going up a steep hill (but that's probably because I'm an old woman).
I’ve been keeping up with your work for years now, especially your shelters since I’ve been homeless on and off for years. This is beautiful. Really incredible work, as always.
Wow God Bless you how come no one sees how much this can help the world. So many people are homeless in 2020 suffering out in the cold. Especially when Texas went through that freeze this would have been better than out in the elements.
It’s you I like and I like you just the way you are you made this day a special day by just you being you and the best person you can be is your honest self!
There are motors that fit into the bike wheel and are also generators that can charge a battery when you are peddling or coasting and use the stored power to assist you on hill climbs.

The direction this world is going i might end up needing one of these to live in it
Paul’s concept of a bike shelter would be a perfect fit for homeless people that are forced to move their camps

I love how the natural light comes through the fabric.very minimalist. Mr Elkins is an inspiration.
Paul, your inventions always make me smile!
Better than any tent.....off the ground, permanently set up , movable and beautiful !👍👍👍
TIP: Don't leave your shoes outside unsecured. I did that once, and a dog came by and took one of my shoes-- I never saw that shoe again!
Great build. I love the outside-the-box mindset.
