Me too. Thanks. ❤️
All these years I have mispronounced Nantes carrots. Thanks for the French lesson!!
I adore you two! You’re such a great example of Christ’s love! My husband and I have been married for 34 years and it makes me smile to see your love for each other! Thank you so much, Hollis, for being such a phenomenal teacher! I so appreciate how you not only show us how to put a seed into the ground, but take the time to create visual aids with names, gardening terms and characteristics of everything! I love your explanations of how you do things and why you do them! Nancy, thank you for all your efforts in the kitchen and sharing all your wonderful recipes!( I know you work hard in the garden, as well!) Much love from another Floridian!
You didn't do a taste comparison. I was hoping you would. I loved the whole video. I've never had a successful crop of carrots. Now I know why. I've always tried growing them in the springtime.
I learn something new EVERYTIME I watch your videos!. I'm forever grateful, thank you Hollis and Nancy.
🕊💜🙏🏼💪🏼🐔🌱
You are so welcome
I really dig the hand written stuff instead of slapping up a digital picture! Nice garden too👍
Your start to harvest series is excellent . Thank you. I hope that you are well prepared for Ian and emerge unscathed. Be safe.
The eagle was beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Hollis and Nancy. I've learned a lot since I've started watching you. Prayers for safety to you..
Stay safe with this hurricane!
Harvesting carrots is so satisfying! I grew them for the first time after seeing your video from Newport News, VA.
Praying y’all will be ok as well as the garden
Love the halftime eagle! I had to laugh, your little carrots at 12 weeks were larger than mine have ever been. I will have to try your techniques. 🥰💕❤️ Hope all goes well at the homestead through the hurricane, keep us apprised when you can. Prayers and blessings to you all. 🙏🕯 👩🌾 🧑🌾 🐕 🌱
For a minute there I thought you had a remote control that pulled forward for you. hahahah
So glad to see your carrots doin so well. Love the colors! Question: is Ms Nancy going to bless us with a cookbook of her delicious recipes? I would love to try some of her unique dishes!! Stay safe. Praying for all as this frigid air passes. So much damage to crops and danger to people. 🙏🙏
I love teamwork, it's like being back in the army. I am planning on growing some indoors this winter. As I said before, I love watching your videos, and I learn something every time. I love the progression videos. Thanks, guys. Take care.
I LOVE how you show as they move along rather than just the beginning like all the other videos. Thank you!! Stay safe!
Such an excellent video, I love your gardening style. I bet bing bing loves carrots too, I know my maltipoos sure love them.🥰🥰🥰 GOD is good
That Bolero looks like an impressive variety……. Next year I’ll try them!
Miss Nancy, I like using the steel cleaner on them and then there’s no reason to peel those beauties! Good idea! Thanks.
Nancy is doing the Popcorn dance
I am absolutely obsessed with your videos. I’m so happy I found your channel. I’m new to gardening and the time you take to actually teach us not only how to garden, but the science behind each plant… wow, just wow. Thank you so much!
Greetings from Texas, zone 8a!
Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication to growing beautiful food! I want you to know that you are my go-to channel 💕 to learn how to successfully grow some groceries! Your carrots are beautiful!! I wanted to reach out and grab one or two! I would just love to get in the kitchen with Mrs. Nancy to learn some of her delicious recipes. 🧡 How deep are your beds where you grew the carrots? 💛
My mouth is salivating as I look at your plates. Enjoy!
I absolutely love all the detail on this start to finish video. It’s so beautiful to see how Nancy shows her love and appreciation for your hard work also. You guys make a great team. You both clearly demonstrate that God abundantly blesses on His part when we put forth effort on our part. 🙌🏼 Thanks so much for sharing all your hard work with us❣️ Sending a big hug to Bing Bing. 🤗

Welcome to our homestead family 😘
Hollis and Nancy, I just wanted to say a prayer for you all, May The Lord watch over your family and Bing Bing. Love you guys
🙏God bless you Cindy🙏
Always love watching your videos and really appreciate just how much you all teach us with each one. Especially love how you honor God with every single video. You guys are truly amazing! Praying you're safe and weren't in the path of Hurricane Ian. God bless!
Was that an American Eagle? Loved his feather britches!!
Thank you for taking the time to share your wisdom , I don’t have room for carrots in my beds this year but I do have buckets ! 🥰
I bet you all can grow great carrots with all that sand and compost. That sounds ideal.
Thinking of you Hollis and Nancy. Hoping and praying you are safe. Thoughts and prayers to everyone in Florida. Sending love from Australia.
Thank you for your beginning to end video! I bought my first house and am looking forward to gardening. Your videos are going to help me achieve my gardening goals. Thanks again and keep on posting!❤
I really love the beginning to end videos. I know they take a lot more time and intention but they are invaluable. Thank you!
Thank you for a beautiful video. I love watching you two work together. What a blessing to be so in sync with your spouse. I really love your prayers.
That was quite the lunch! I wouldn't need supper after that wonderful meal. Only mine would have mashed potatoes instead of the rice, Irish family.😂
I'm praying that you guys weather the storm okay praying also for everyone in Florida that was a monstrous storm.
You're videos are amazing. You have to have the most informative videos available. God bless.
Bald Eagle. 🥰😍
I love how simple you make the growing process. It's really made my own garden that much more enjoyable when I'm armed with the nuts and bolts of how to start seedlings, get the soil prepared and get those seedlings in the ground. I've learned so much from your videos these past few years. Thank you so much for everything you do!
WOW what a blessing to have a eagle protecting your garden!!!! hope he/she keeps all the critters out!!! :)
Thank you so much. As a beginning gardener, I now know why my carrots didn't grow in my clay soil, even with some cow help. I'm still learning when to feed the veggies as they grow, and bone meal may come to the rescue. God bless you.
Please do get in touch when you have power after the ‘Caine to update us all on everybody. 🙏🏻
We love your channel and watch it on our TV and this particular episode was very entertaining because our cat was chasing your pen all across the screen. Lol😂
God bless you too sister I'm getting my chickens in April🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣
We pray you all are safe and hanging in there with hurricane Ian. Prayers for you both.
Wow what a beautiful Eagle that's incredible!!!
You are so Blessed to have the knowledge to garden the way you do.i have learned so much from watching your videos.God Bless.
I hope and pray you are safe from Ian! God protect you!
Hopefully you and everyone alone with the animals are doing well with this storm thanks from posting the video with all that’s going on 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I planted my carrots about a week ago and they are up mostly. Yours are just beautiful!!
Excellent video, from start to finish, with measurements, black cow, bone meal, Johnny seeds, dates and hybrid sweet carrot/potatoes. Good investment!
I wish we could get Black Kow out here in Southern California!
One of my favorite crops to grow is carrots!!!
If you like growing novelty colors, you guys should try Black Nebula! They are dark dark purple, nearly black. They can even be used as dye, and will turn your fingers, tongue, and cutting board purple. They are sweet too! The reason they are purple is the high anthocyanin, which turns pink in the presence of an acid. I cut my (very small, 5 carrot harvest) in disks and blanched them before freezing, and now I actually put a couple slices in my lemonade to turn it pink! Like I said, they are very sweet, so they don't even effect the taste.
I wish you could publish all your drawings and tips. Always so interesting and helpful.
Part of me misses your small homestead. More relatable for most of us. I'll have to go back and watch those again along with these new videos.
Well Nancy you have succeeded in making me hungry for carrots. I know what will be for supper tonight. Wish I had soil like that. Congrats on the harvest!!
I just love watching how the two of you work together!. Appreciate the compilation of videos. It takes time and effort to do progression videos, so thank you.
Awesome job 👌👍
Chickens love the carrot tops!
🐓🐓🐓
Beautiful red carrots...
I'd been eyeing the Gold Nugget and Bolero pelletted seeds from Johnny's. How great is it that you made a video with them? And they look absolutely fantastic. I'm definetly gonna order them now. Keep up the great work Hollis and Nancy!

I'm so happy for you bothyou have such a beautiful homestead! What a blessing!😇🙏🥰
Thank you so much!
Beautiful carrots!!!
Thank you 🤗
An Eagle!!!! Awesome!
❤🙏 For you, your family and everyone in Florida.
My "elder" sister is insisting that if I freeze my carrot seeds, it's the same as "overwintering".
I say, that doesn't make sense since there is no tuber for the cold to convert starch to sweetness.
Which one of us is right?
What's the minimum amount of time that carrots need to be exposed to a freeze in order for the carrots to sweeten?
Seeing the cooked carrots, all I could think of is how delicious those would be in a pot roast. This is my first time growing carrots so I'll find out in 1-2 months.
I love watching your video's thank you for sharing I am in Upper Michigan and I don't think carrots would survive the winter here. At least I never heard of anyone trying it. Thanks again they looked amazing
My garden is so sooooo much smaller then yours but i too wear my back brace. Just watching you heft those bags made it hurt. Glad to see you both prospering. Thank you both for your time and energy.
This presentation is wonderful ...all the best to you both.,
Golden nugget from Johnny's seeds is one of my favorite tasting carrots. I've grown them from other seed companies but they weren't as good.
In the days ahead heck yeah!!
I thank you so very much for the way you let us see the progression of your carrots. That helped so much. You guys make great & informative videos. They help me a lot. Keep up the great work. I also appreciate you both sharing God with us. That is very encouraging.
How many people can say they have an eagle for a visitor on their homestead ❤❤❤❤
they do look yummy
What state are you in, I’m in Connecticut and I’m so glad I found your channel, I’ve had a veggie garden for 18 years, it’s so satisfying
Sending prayers and positive energy from Missouri ❤️💓🙏🔥
Stay safe!!!
Man that looks so good.
Watching Nancy cook the vegetables was very interesting. Would like to see how you can and store your vegetables. Thank you for sharing your gardening expertise with others.
We have some videos on our channel on freezing, fermenting, dehydrating, etc. We are working on several new videos on how to store long term. ❤️
Those three varieties will look wonderful in a serving bowl together! Can I ask, will these carrots grow well in a bucket container too?
I just love to watch you and Miss Nancy you are such an awesome, amazing couple God bless you. I wish I was close to you I know I would get some of those healthy vegetables you are harvesting. I am in N Y but when I go home to Jamaica I'm surely going use what I learn from you and make is work. Thanks again for making my day.
I love your drawings. 😇
❤️
Hollis we hope you and Ms.Nancy...and bing bing are safe...we love yall
Love the editing so that we can see from seed to harvest!
Are bone meal and compost the only soil amendments you used? I plant in grow bags in my patio, so if you have any further suggestions I would love them👍. Blessings to you and your wife
You're a bad influence I love it I've seen a lot of the stuff you grow and I am doing some of that myself now keep up the great work
😂
Can you overwinter in containers? Thanks for your time, I really enjoy your videos and learn alot.
So relaxing.
Stay safe and take care of each other. We all hope the damage you experience from this hurricane isn't bad
Those are some really beautiful carrots, mine did pretty good during the spring into fall. I am going to just wait and do some more at spring again this next year. It’s about too late to start them here in Tennessee. Hope you and Nancy are safe from the hurricane and everything is well with you both. God bless
Very entertaining thx Kenora Ont. 👍
My pleasure!!
May the most high bless you in Nancy praying that y'all be safe much love
Thank you for explaining the different carrot structures. I didn't realize those names refered to their shape. Since I've only ever read the word, I've been prounouncing it like n-ants.
