The amount of work that goes into these videos over the year is just incredible
Thanks for watching. Yes sir, it definitely takes a lot of work ❤️
Ik it’s awesome 😅 the whole process in one video
Could you do a break down of the growing of the garlic like you did the potatoes? Illustrations and all?
We already did. Videos are on our channel. Check out or garlic playlist
A man happy to please his women

🤣🤣🤣
I absolutely love the way you and Nancy work together on projects. Having a true partner in life is such a blessing that most of us never find. God bless!
Thank you so much for watching! Indeed, we are getting older and depend on each other to push through the many tasks on our homestead. At the end of the day we get the job done. Bing Bing always pitches in to help as well. ❤️❤️🐶
I really like your garden video's, and you both are such a sweet couple that loves God and each other! God Bless!
Mr. Hollis the clip with the dog sitting behind Mrs. Hollis in the chair was awesome 😅😅😅😅 it’s like he/she was ready for that shot and it was perfect 😃😃😃😃😃
Thank you so much for all your time and effort into making these videos. It’s tedious and takes lots of patience to record clips and waiting until the next stage for you to record a new clip. I’m sure you have lots of videos and projects that are ongoing ON TOP of all the work you put into your homestead. Just wanted to say you guys are amazing and keep it up. I’m looking forward to every new video
So nice of you
Thank you to both you and Nancy. I've learned so much from watching and enjoying the hard work you've put into each video. Abundant Blessings always.
I’m so grateful I found your channel!!! I’m a beginner gardener!! I have binge watching your videos!!! I love how you guys start from seed to harvest in the same video!! Blessings from Kentucky 🙌🏻🦋🙌🏻
Hi@mompuff, what part of Ky are you from ? So am I.....I don't garden, I just watch lol.....been there, done that in younger days.....love watching Hollis & Nancy.....they are not afraid of work for sure.....have a good one...6/3/23
I soaked my 2 garlic cloves in baking soda water for some hours & they popped up after planting a day later. They were in my fridge for months I figured I'd give them a try. I planted them on the nineteenth of November & the stalks are about 5" already... 😍🥰😁🥳
man when you folks grow something, you grow A LOT, love it
18:20 Plant garlic in November every year in Atlanta zone 7B. Great results with elephant garlic, seed garlic, and store bought garlic. Heavy on phosphorus for 1st month, then switch to balanced fertilizer next 3 months. Stop all fertilizing when bulb starts to appear. Harvest in June/July. Great success.
WOW, this is a fabulous video. I think it's one of my top three that you've shown! I am beyond impressed. The bulbs themselves, the dehydrated pieces, the powder! You've got me dreaming of soups and stews! And even eggs! Not to mention a dehydrator! I've made leek and potato soup before, and to know that these plants can be used as leeks also is really awesome!
❓❓Question for Nancy: did I interpret correctly - that the green dried pieces (chopped in the food processor?) and the green powder are from the leaves only? If so, I'm extra impressed! I would not have thought of that! What a beautiful thing to use every bit of the plant.
Thanks so much for this video!
Nancy here, for me I use everything. The green part of the plant also taste like garlic. I put in soups and everything. :-)
@@HollisNancysHomestead Thank you so much!
Now that’s what you call abundance
Garlic Galore, what an
abundant harvest. Thanks Nancy and Hollis, you Folks are a blessing 🙂.
I just hope that my elephant garlic grows and does well this year 2024. Thanks for the videos you have done ❤❤❤
It was a delight watching the complete process. It's hard work but very rewarding in the end. You homesteaders are absolutely amazing - All of you. Thank you!
Is the best video seed to harvest I've ever seen, but I have a question did you take off the scapes of your garlic or you don't seem necessarily? (It's a lot of work for all the heads you and your wife grow by the way)
Bing-Bing makes an excellent supervisor 🐕
This is amazing!! Garlic is my next adventure on a smaller scale.
I love seeing you two together! I really like the suppliers that you've recommended. Here in SoCal, it's the right time to get those elephant garlic cloves into the ground. Thanks for taking us through the whole process.
I luv farming, thanks for sharing method how to plant giant garlic, I’ve learned a lot from this video, more power to u great couple & God bless u both & give u more strength to do farming & sharing information to people around the world.
Love Keene garlic!! Had the best garlic harvest this year from their seed garlic. I was so impressed!
That is awesome!

Loved the video! What a wonderful garden you have.
Nancy, you picked out some rock’n good music. Especially the one when Hollis was cleaning the elephant garlic! Hollis, those garlic pods looked fabulous!! ♥️🙏🏼♥️ And, Bing Bing was ready for her closeup!
Thank you so much for sharing your journey.. wow!! You guys are a dream team.. y’all are awesome… I definitely learnt something for sure…I do a little gardening myself ntn much but I can say for sure that God has blessed the little that I do because I have been able to share the little I have with my neighbors (& not just my neighbors next to me) two doors over and then some .. praise God.. Long Island NY..
Just lovely. Need more people to do what you are doing.🙏🏻
Just curious, at the end of the video you show a pile of sand that seems to be used for fires. What a great idea. Can you please talk more about that too. Curious if you use the ashes and all that good stuff.
Blessings!
I’m so glad you highlighted eating it early! I LOVE green garlic! I eat it in stir fry, salads, anything garlic or onions are used in.
Me too!!
I love watching the team work between the two of you ❤
Love the rhythmic and co-operative way you two work. Elizabeth and family xx

Roasting and freezing garlic worked well for us. Great 🧄 video😀
Great tip thanks 👍
Thank you both! I love your videos 🌴
The dry garlic leaves make a beautiful tea
Nancy makes green garlic powder out of them.
@@HollisNancysHomestead great,thanks
What a super video and a big thanks to you and Nancy for documenting all the real time steps in growing that beautiful garlic!
I just priced Black Cow…. your beautiful garlic is the most expensive garlic ever. You used a lot to amend your soil. You are an amazing gardener!
You don't need as much if you have basic soil. We have sugar sand that is why we have to put so much. Blessing
Here's a tip if you want to use black cow or any other bagged product go to Lowes and look for damaged bags I've been doing it for years and getting them for half price I just get the ones that have the least amount of soil missing!
You make everything look so easy ✨️. But I know I look like Lucy Ricardo 🎭in my sad garden 🥺still fighting white flies😡. Gotta laughter at myself but I March on! Tks.
You can do this, just start with couple
Love your channel! We are from Florida but live retired on 4 acres in Northern Utah on a ski resort. Our growing season is not long so I have a grow shed that helps me get a 2 month head start. I planted 350 cloves of garlic in our raised beds in November and under 6 feet of snow all winter, they have emerged beautifully. It’s hard neck garlic for our area of 5B. No bugs to worry about here but the short gardening season is tough. I miss my sandy soil in Florida. Take good care and blessings to you two
You guys are tryly teachers and i so appreciate what you do! Shalom❤
I grow elephant garlic that my starts were handed down to me from a man that his family has been growing for generations and I’m continuing to grow yearly.
Great video!
Thanks for sharing!
A seriously hard working couple thank you for sharing stay blessed
What a beautiful bunch of elephant garlic! Wow. I planted 3 different kinds of hardneck garlic this fall here in south central Wisconsin. I did learn a few cool tips from watching this video that will be helpful come harvest season next summer. I always look forward to your videos. God bless you Hollis and Miss Nancy.
Time well spent. God Bless you both.
Great teamwork!❤
Nancy u are Amazing!!!! I love how u showed the different ways to use the different parts of the garlic plant!!! Thank u for sharing and teaching
You are so welcome
You two are teamwork at its best! It is so amazing to watch the two you go to town with the gardening process. I shared your UA-cam channel with all my friends and family. We all need to step our gardening game up after the example that You and Nancy have set. God Bless you for sharing. Armydad1993
I appreciate this very educational video and thank you 😊
Haven't seen you guys on UA-cam in quite sometime, missed you guys
We have been here all along. Our videos don’t seem to be reaching our subscribers anymore. Glad you found us again. ❤️
Great video. I planted softneck garlic and it is growing well. Happy Thanksgiving to you all and your family!
Wonderful!
What do do with s.l ones
Thank you so much for your VERY informative videos!
That is a beautiful harvest! Wow! I just started growing garlic 5 years ag. Thank you for the fine video!
What type of cultivator do you use? Love that it just seems to flow through the ground. Would love to fish with you too! We raise Alpacas and have lots of worms from the compost/manure heap!
I agree it was so nice.
Hi. I found your videos by accident and am glad I did. I have watched several now. New resident of north central Florida and this is what I need. I really enjoy the way you take us through all the steps. it may take you months to produce a video but it's all in one. Thank you for your time and efforts.
❤️
UR pup is SO ADORABLE 😘
Yall are so cute thgthr,so much effort, time & love! THANQ 4 great VIDEO
Wow.. that's big garlic.. thank you for sharing the video. Love those powder also.. ❤ you and Nancy are awesome.
Another wonderful and informative video Sir, thank you. I planted garlic 2 years ago on a whim but didn't grow them long enough nor put the required amount of effort into them.
I'm a 3rd year veg grower so learning all the time. This year coming, I'll grow them longer and with your instruction, I'll be a bit more patient and attentive.
Keep up the great work, these are the best videos on you tube.
Have a wonderful and healthy 2024. Blessings from Scotland x
This video was awesome!!! I love your love💓
Thank you so much!!
Amazing job Mrs Nancy ! That looked awesome !
I just found this channel. What a lovely couple , and love the content.
Thanks so much! 😊
So glad y’all found some garlic that’ll grow 🌱 in your hot weather. Elephant garlic 🧄 is great 👍🏻. I’m growing some in my windowsill next to the green onions.
That is a huge amount of garlic! I wish I had a freeze dryer, I hear they work much better than dehydrating herbs and things. They are expensive though. My cousin has one, he loves it!
Freeze dryer is great if you have the budget. Right now it's not in our budget. Maybe someday :-)
You have a beautiful garden . And you are doing a great job on the videos it’s hard work .
Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing your technique and love! God Bless You Always!
Absolutely wonderful video! Love watching you guys! I really like the start to finish! God bless you guys! Thank you for all your hard work & wonderful sharing!♥️♥️
Thank you for your videos. I learn something new every thim I watch one.

Hi Nancy I have been watching u and your wonderful husband from up North mboy he knows his stuff I lived in Tampa
Oh thank you
I love your videos so very much. Thank you for sharing so we can learn; you are a huge blessing! Praying for you and your family... I pray others will bless you just as you have blessed me. ♥ 🙏🙌👑
Love, love, love ALL of your "how to grow" videos. My father used to grow elephant garlic with great success. Great memories!! from Missouri
You all are truly doing God's work. I am thankful to have come across your channel. My 11 year old is so excited to start our own small garden. Many blessings from Melbourne Florida.
Great job growing all of that elephant garlic.
Nancy, you did great on dehydrating the elephant garlic. That was quite a haul for what some people would have thrown out. I know a a lot of chefs who use elephant garlic as a replacement for shallots when the shallots are hard to find or too expensive.
WOW! What ANOTHER AWESOME VIDEO!! So peaceful and filled w tips! We r in zone 7a and we planted garlics a week or so ago-(German Reds)-60-they came out great last year and I’ll be drying some like Nancy too-my drier is coming for Christmas! Thanks and Blessings to All! Happy Thanksgiving! Hugs to Bing Bing and Mom too!
I love your beginning to end videos. I have some elephant garlic in my fridge from last year. This video has inspired me to plant it, just to see what happens. Maybe some of it will grow.
You can do it!
I love love love garlic! I do need to start to record how much I plant and if it is enough!
Love the videos! I've been following under my personal name for years! Keep up the great work of being Stewarts of the land! God bless!
Thank you so much. We feel so blessed to have this homestead and to share our last life chapter with everyone. We hope our videos are fun, relaxing and educational to watch for many years after we are long gone. Have a peaceful Thanksgiving ❤️
@@HollisNancysHomestead your videos are a true joy to watch! Happy Thanksgiving from our farm to yours!
HAVE A BLESSED DAY! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU TOO!
Thank for watching! Blessings
This was a great video from planting to harvesting. Here in Ohio it is too late for me to plant for next summer but I will refer back to your video for next fall. I can't wait to try to grow some next year.
Great job preserving ALL of the plants. You guys worked really hard getting all that good garlic, I love garlic. Garlic and onions are some of my favorites ❤️Take care guys and God Bless ✝️🙏❤️
❤️
I just found this channel and absolutely love it, because of your skills, and all credit and thanks to the Lord. Would love to visit your garden, now that y’all are in Florida! I could always use some great advice for my small backyard garden. Keep up the excellent work!❤️
love that elephant garlic. LOVE the start to finish on the videos 😍
Hi Hollis and Nancy I planted last December should be bidding them up soon😊
Excellent video! Thank you. God bless you.
Thanks to both of you!
Thanks to your inspiration, I've got 6 Elephant garlic started in my sm garden.
Your Middleburg neighbors!
I will have to remember Miss Nancy's advice with the tops. Thank you for these videos.
Loved the video as❤always love the way yall love and respect each other God Bless
We LOVE garlic here. I planted some this fall for the first time. All of it has come up and the fronds are coming through the top of the soil about 2 inches or more. We are in zone 5B so it is cold here right now and there is some snow on top of the garlic. I hope that will not kill it off?
The tops will probably die off but should sprout right back up in the spring. That little bit of growth helped get the roots growing and they’ll keep it up all winter. If you haven’t, you may want to mulch them with 3-4 inches of leaves. That’ll keep them more protected from the cold temperatures. I hope this was helpful!
I am glad you found the variety of garlic that you like to grow and that It will do well in your area I live In a cold climate so the variety that I grow Is also a hard neck variety as well Its variety Is dear field It's very cold Hardy In my area and heat tolerant to
Beautiful garlic
Fantastic video and harvest. Shalom.
