I love how as soon as the gas leak was detected everyone worked as one. No jurisdictional chest thumping. Even your competition, the 4 wheel tow gentleman all worked together. Very professional. Nicely done!
Very professional recovery Mr. Hal and Shane. I liked that you used a catch line instead of letting it slam back over. I learned after my first heavy roll over to always use a catch line if possible. My first roll over I let it slam back over and blew out the front tire on the tractor then I had to change the tire because it had to be towed from the rear. I hope their are some light duty guy's and gals watching your videos because they can learn a lot from you before they move up to Heavy Duty operations. Stay safe guy's.
I agree 100% Dan. You do not see to many bosses out there that are so willing to teach young people the tricks of the trade. Almost all companies want to hire the most experienced operators out there. The way I see it is everyone needs to learn to get to be a great operator. I am sure one day Shane will be out there on his own doing the same work.
Mr Hal I'm glad there wasn't anybody on that bus other than the driver and they got out OK. Looks like that gas tank got dented up pretty good and leaking . Things could have been a lot worse. Great job as always. y'all take care. (Jason in Sumter)
Excellent job with this recovery, MR. Watts, & crew! That was a very soft landing when the bus was up righted. That wax trick is slick! I wouldn't have thought of doing that to plug the tank with. That's a brilliant idea!
Wax toilet gasket, awesome.... just put new toilet in my house a week ago. Can relate to the "stickiness" they have. Love the idea, love all your videos. I've had 3 hernia repairs done over the last 3 months and have been off 6 weeks total. Found your channel and have been watching several videos a day, each week.
Do you like to use that setup when doing something heavy like a dump truck or semi tractor? I'm talking about the snatch block setup you are using on this. I have been taught a different way which does not let me use a line for a catch like you used.
Trash Mann If I end up using both lines for lifting or pulling I will use a pick up or small wrecker to lower to the ground. I have rolled a tanker with a 4 part line and a catch line in training with one truck spiking the front axle in training. Thanks for watching. Stay safe
Wow hope everyone was ok. Sometimes I have no idea how people wreck the way they do. That looks like A residential area? How was a car going fast enough to flip a bus or why was a bus going fast enough to flip? Thanks for the videos sir. Very entertaining and educational. Had no idea how all this heavy towing worked before your videos. Had no idea it was so technical where the littlest mistake can be catastrophic. The amount of times you must have smashed your hands or fingers must be in the 100s. Every piece of equipment or tool is really heavy . Thanks again keep up the great videos
Liked your video you know what you’re doing. Interesting how you don’t seem to worry about safety kit like hard hats, hi-vi jacket or safety boots like some of the other recovery teams. In the U K you would wear all the kit. Stay safe.
We had a tank truck years ago in same type of accident .The damage to our rear axle wasn't obvious .After got it back from body shop the truck would dog track down the road .Had to replace the rear end and fight insurance for more money.
my first reaction , i hope the bus was empty , then counting the snatch , an think about hammering a stick in it , nice vid , until next vid : tanks and stay safe
