There’s quite a lot of small things you can do to a trailer to make a huge increase in fuel economy. Fuel lift pump, clean compressor oil, small temperature drop across filter drier, clean condenser every week, lower RPM setting for high speed, tight rubbers on floor drains and evaporator drain tubes. Clean air filter, tight cap, and a rubber drain under the box. A old battery will cause the unit to start stop more often and wear out the alternator. Of course make sure the typical maintenance is done and the box is air tight.
when you have a good skill, it is normal that you can go global and your name is recommended to so many people and from what i've heard about Mr. Brian Nelson, his strategies must be really good .
A long, long time ago, I worked for a school bus company when the first school bus roofs were painted white. I saw some studies done that showed about a 10 degree difference.
DIY your more than a blessing ..thanks I’m going to invest in this along with fuel ox…you should come up with a segment called DIY DIMES where you give out helpful tips like this
@@DIYSEMI honestly you should …things your provider me have saved me money.I’m currently trying to subscribe to your channel cause I have some business question on trucking I’d like to ask
Did it work brother I’m fighting the same issue myself is there anything else you recommend to keep trailer cooler and keep it from kicking into defrost in high humidity climates
@@DIYSEMI yeah I started to now after my last trip I’m a reefer rookie lol I bought it cause it was a good price with super low hours and all the maintenance records but found out Florida in august is just brutal for an older trailer I was able to keep 0 degrees but didn’t sleep a lot up worrying all day and night as I had to babysit the load for 22hrs before delivery I assume all the reefer rookie jitters go after more and more loads
In 2003 I got a new Great Dane (Through Ryder) with an Ingersoll Rand refer. I was told it had some special treatment or coating on the roof to help dissipate heat. I forget what it was called then.
I need to vet them before I give their name out. So far their service is not good. they don't return my calls or answer emails. If they can't do that I will find someone else that can. I'm not sending someone to a garbage company. I'm giving them one last chance in case he was on vacation or something
Clutch trucker ...broke down again .. Wrote on his vid. Page he should lease buy a truck from you..... His truck been breaking down way to much for the last two years.....

We need a live from u and cash!! Cmon
Shoot dang! I always assumed that reefers had white roofs like school buses. Incredible that they’re just unpainted metal.
Great video. So many tasks that carriers do for their business.

It must defrost in high humidity. It is necessary. Do you plug your drain holes?

Does this work for you ? Any difference in fuel cost
Yes
We live in nevada and paint our roof of the rental every year with it.. it really does. Make a difference on the AC bills.
It's going to be interesting to see if this helps keep the temps down.
Great job brother.
