Do you roast over fire and once they are all browned, you add to the cereal? I've never heard of this and it sounds amazing.
@@pheona1164 I normally put them under the broiler since I live in an apartment but I guess fire roasted marshmallows would be better

@@pheona1164 exactly what country are you from, if you don’t mind me asking. In America this treat is almost if not just as American as apple pie. Tbh, I’d rather have r.crispy treats over any/an apple pie.
In the Caribbean growing up, Kellogg's Rice Krispies were expensive because they were imported so my mom would use good ole cornflakes instead of Rice Krispies and I loved them!
We call it cornflakes cake and it's so much crispier and gooier than Rice Krispies and less tooth-achingly sweet.
Not sure if we have Dandy's marshmallows in standard groceries, but I'll definitely try that trick of browning the butter + adding some whole marshmallows after.
Damn, now I really am craving cornflakes cake!

I only had unsalted butter, so I added ½ a tsp of kosher salt & that was perfect!

Miss ma’am, how did you KNOW I just got 6+ boxes of Rice Krispie cereal and needed to make some treats this weekend?! I prefer the ‘dry’ Rice Krispies with less marshmallows too but I’m sure the kids I’m making them for won’t 😂 never heard of that brand of marshmallows here in Canada, but maybe I’ll check again.

8 tbsp salted butter
10 oz Dandies mini marshmallows
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 cup regular mini marshmallows

Girl yes. I’ve been making cereal crispy treats ( gotta switch it up sometimes from rice crispies imo ) and the vegan marshmallows are excellent. Definitely worth the extra dollar to have that homemade flavor. My family has enjoyed fruity pebbles more than any other cereal, but my crazy ass is partial to honeycomb! The marshmallow and butter mixture gets in between all the little holes of the honeycomb. Super delicious. Great video!

One question…what kind of cookware is that?
Made these last weekend. One recipe with RC and one with cocoa crispies mixed in (my kids fave) and they were a huge hit! I hate store bought so have tried adding extra marshmallows, but I see now that without increasing the butter they always turned out so sticky. Rookie mistake. And the Browned butter…chefs kiss!

Most gelatin is made with pork. That's why she was saying that... Just like if you're vegan you don't eat starbursts and half the other jelly candies.... Wtf?
The butter isn't vegan so this isn't a vegan treat anyway. Not an issue for me, I'm not vegan. I like the tip for browning the butter but don't prefer the consistency of the vegan marshmallows as per the video images.
I only like enuf marshmallows to hold them together. Yours look like they have EXtra marshmallows. I think people like them for the crunch or the mallow. I wouldn't eat yours.
