Crispy gooey and delicious! Gone are the days of buying these at checkout. This will become one of your favorites quickly! FULL RECIPE: www.kingcooks.c...
Having a Christmas potluck at my work tomorrow and just wanted to make something simple and tasty. This is thee perfect recipe since I bought the rice krispies cereal with the Christmas colors to make it go well with the festivities. Thank you for making this so simple and delicious!! 🎄😋
The extra marshmallows unmelted was a great idea!! We are adding mini MnM’s to ours. This will be a perfect recipe for introduction to cooking for the kiddos. Thanks!!
Made these and they turned out so good! Not having to do the double boiler was a major plus and I browned the butter first and it made them taste even better.
Wow!!! As I'm stuffing my face with rice Krispies I can say this recipee is the best ever... these turned out so good!! Thank you for sharing! New subscriber sending love from Texas! Happy New Year!!
Can I use jumbo marshmallows? They are already opened and they might be old but can I still use it? Also how much butter will I need and marshmallows for 3 cups (foam cups) of Rice Krispie Cereal (This is coming from someone who wants to make some today but has no experience)
@@anjalijulka9070 I bought jumbo marshmallows because they didn’t have mini. But yes you can use them. I will cut mine in order to be able to measure correctly.

Everybody loves rice crispy bars. Especially since it’s easy to add other ingredients like chocolate chips, or dried fruit. People also like popcorn. But you can’t make just a little. You always have to make a lot. And you can’t really add anything. What would happen if you made a popcorn stick? It would be about one inch in diameter, and eight inches long. But the stick wouldn’t be made out of popcorn, it would be made out of unpopped kernels which are held together with some kind of glue. Sugar, or something like that. So when you want some popcorn, you put the stick into the top of a hot air machine that only heats the bottom end of the stick. As the kernels pop, you push the stick down. That way, you can make just a little. And the sticks can be flavored at the factory. So there would be blueberry popcorn, butter popcorn, cheesy popcorn, and one called trail mix. People might like it.
Yes you definitely can use big marshmallows! I believe you just need 1/2 of the amount of marshmallows if you're using big ones! So, instead of using 6 1/2 use 3 1/2 cups and that should get you there. Let me know if that works!
I tried to recook, with very low heat, but my marshmallow didn't exactly melt into liquid but look more like a crumble gum and burn out so fastt, dunno what I did wrong. Pleaseee helppp
Sure! Add a little water to them if they don’t thin out on their own. Idky but some marshmallows really dry out. But a little water will help! Let me know if that works!
@@kingcooks yea my marshmallow really dries out so quick it turns into this gummy texture, won't melt into liquid, so I tried to add more butter to melt it, still doesn't work and the more it's on heat the more it's getting burnt out soo fast 😔 so I take it off the heat and tried to mix it with the rice krispies and it's so hard to mix😩😩😩 it was my first trial and so frustrating for a snack 😅 I'll try again by adding water, hope it works! 🤞🏻 Thank you!
I’m sorry it’s not working like it should 😩 let me know if it works and if you have anymore questions! Maybe try to melt the butter first then add the marshmallows that could help.
I wish I would have seen this video before following the lame instructions behind the cereal box 😆 mine came out terrible! I’m going to try again following your steps!! Thanks!
@@kingcooks I want to make this right now! Lol, how can I make my Rice Krispie squares not turn out hard..? because every time I make them that's how they turn out. And if I were to add peanut butter to this what I have to change up the amount of anything else in the recipe?
Right! When you’re putting it into the dish form it lightly. A lot of times this is where folks go wrong because the are too firm trying to mold it into dish. Also I haven’t tried with peanut butter but I don’t think you need to alter the recipe. But I wouldn’t add a lot of peanut butter. A small amount goes a long way. Let me know if you try it I wanna know!
I wish the instructions for the marshmallows was by weight instead of volume because mine are huge and wont even fit in a measuring cup!😂😂 Gonna proceed anyways!!👍👍🤪

How long do you let them cool? Mine always come out sticky 😪
Gonna Keep trying until they come out good.
Oh nooo! 4-5 hours should do it. They should still be sticky but hold their form
That’s my favorite when I was child I don’t know if still available
One of my all time favorites as well!
Imma try these tonight!! Wish me luck!
I guess it depends on the quality of ingredients, because mine turned out bad
Why does it look so damn good?!

Just made some this morning!🤗
Best you’ve ever had?!
Couple years late, but thanks for the walk through on these treats

I would think so! if you do try it, let me know how it comes out!
now where do I get rice crispy cereal? Or an alternative

Just made them, perfection!
How long can you store these for and how do you store them?
Up to a week in an airtight container
I only have 2 cups worth of marshmallows what would be the ratio to that?😅
Oh that’s a fun challenge lol I would probably break the recipe down to 1/3. Hopefully that works! Let me know if you do try it. Good luck!
@@kingcooks Thank you!❤
Looks so yummy🙂🙂
Looking At This Video Makes Me Hungry
How long do you keep the melted butter and marshmallow off heat? I did this recipe
And the crispy cereal got soggy.
Thank yoy
Love the background music. What's it called?
It’s called “nothing on me”. I got it from the UA-cam audio library. Thanks for watching!
@@kingcooks thank you 😊

Letting cool is better than putting it in the fridge, right? I think I put it in the fridge & it waa impossible to cut. 😢
best hands down !!!
Thank you!!!! 😭 I think so too. Even better than store bought.
Great vid! Once you make them are they good for a few days?
Put them in an airtight container and they should last for at least 5-7 days
Mm this so good I've tried that before
Thanks for trying it! Glad you enjoyed
Hey! Are u a chef? Or do u just whip it up? Either way is fine with me
Lol I just whip it up! I’m a recipe writer mainly. Everything else is just part of the joy of cooking. Thanks for asking!
My marshmallows for the topping part weren't melting in the microwave and it made a sticky mess instead. Was I supposed to add more butter?
I'm gonna try this!
I make a shape swan ...
Without mashmello is possible??!
i made them and it only took 20 minutes! and he/she was right, they definetly are crispy and gooey. i bet gordem ramsay would approve!
Kind of a brash question, do you think it would turn out the same with canibutter?
I would think so for sure! Drop a comment let me know! I’m curious myself lol

I used this recipe, but it seems like it was stale 😢 am I doing something wrong?
NEW LATE NIGHT SNACK UNLOCKED 🔓🤤💜
Why didn't you put it in the oven?
Rice crispy treats don’t require any oven time thankfully
Can I use vegetable oil
Yes
Thank you!
You’re welcome Will!
Made this recipe and they are tasty, but mine we rock hard 20 min after sitting in air tight container… any reason why?
Oh that’s weird. Ummmm only thing I can think of is to let them cool completely before putting them in a container. Sorry that happened
What if u dont have the marshmellows could you use a substitute?
Not that I can think of sorry 😅
Does the drizzle need butter?
Awesome ❤

Is it OK if I use salted butter? Well it get salty
It will just have a hint of salt in it. I haven’t tried it but let me know if you do!
Mine didn't mould right but it's still delicious 😅
That’s all that matters! Flavor is king lol
Why does mine always turn brown instantly and they never even melts like that. I'm so frustrated.
I’m not sure maybe start off at a lower temp and keep stirring
Im glad everyone in these comments is a law abiding citizen and isnt using this recipe video for anything nefarious
I only have large size marshmello . How many cups should I put in
I believe if you half the required cup amounts you should be fine. Let me know, hopefully that works!
