    Could i ask for the model number of the PTO I could not makeout the letters? Having you thought of making and selling your bushing? I have a 318 that I am just getting started on. I have been talking to the guys selling the kit, they did not mention your bushing or rotation device which were excellent but something nice to know before you start on a conversion kit. great results

      Hi, everything I remember is in that video, I can’t recall the model number sorry. The bolt-in kit might use a different PTO all together that doesn’t need a bushing. Are you going with the Briggs vanguard?

      The Briggs was awesome and fit well, I’d save the money over the Honda. The guy who has my 318 now uses it pretty regularly and loves it.

    You slide the clutch over the shaft then you put the washer looking thing with bolt thru it into end of shaft with an outside diameter the same as shaft. I don't think that is holding anything on at all the outside diameter would have to be a little larger the shaft.

    Great so far, please enlarge the restraint piece on the engine to include the next bolt hole outboadr of the one you used. Also please involve the two holes and another bracket on the other side of the engine. 23 hp is a bit to restrain. I do wish this to last more than one winter!
    Cheers

      Hi Carl, Are you talking about the anti-spin bracket on the PTO?

    • @carlthor91
      @carlthor91 5 років тому +1

      @@BobWilson84 yes, you need more meat t hold the torque, as this is not an electric motor, the torque pulses will work on the bolt and rip it out in short order.
      Cheers

      @@carlthor91 Thanks for the thought Carl. The bracket you are referring to is only subjected to torque when the PTO is trying to stop an attachment through the internal brake (no substantial torque). The PTO housing (black part) is isolated from the driveshaft with bearings, no torque is transmitted through that bracket. On most installations the anti-spin bracket is just a simple 1/4 threaded rod. Great points about the torque from an electric motor vs. combustion engine. There are very good videos on youtube that detail the operation of an electric PTO which you may find interesting. Have a great day sir!

    When getting a new clutch one gets it for the tractor since its repowered, my 420 has two belts. What's your clutches manufacture again.

      Yep! It runs perfectly. Just waiting on the Spring weather so I can repaint the sheetmetal and make a final video for this project.
