Before he became King, there were rumors that Charles would choose to rule as King George VII rather than Charles III. Charles I lost his head, Charles II wanted to die as a Catholic, and Bonnie Prince Charlie was crushed into dust at the Battle of Culloden. However, ruling as George VII wouldn't quite work for him, and that's not even mentioning that there's already a George in his family. His Grandson would become King George VII. He is not as robust as his mother was, so I don't expect Charles III to have a long reign. Once he's dead, his much more popular son (who is also descended from the Jacobites through his mother) will become King William V, and his popularity will remain strong even with the Jacobites. Perhaps now they will know some peace.
@Northumbrian Fella The United Kingdom, by annexing new colonies after all anti-Catholic laws were overthrown by George III and countless Catholics began to migrate to England (like the French who were fleeing the French revolution). Proof of this is that everyone who made England great and beautiful in the 19th century was Catholic, like Augustos Pugin, creator of the famous Big Ben Clock Tower.
@Northumbrian Fella This immigration was in 1680, under Louis XIV, and England continued to fail after that. In addition to the heavy French immigration to England (as I mentioned, Augustos is an example of these immigrants), George III sent countless soldiers to fight with the counter-revolutionaries in 1792, because he knew that the only way to grow his Empire would be through the Catholics (and it actually worked).
