If I had been handed a guitar in music class that they told me was a donation from Eddie Van Halen, I would have been speechless. At the end of the semester I would have hidden the guitar from everyone, told them I lost it somehow and that I would pay it off out of my own pocket.
American education system had a hard time trying to get any type of orchestra or band in their schools and keep music as part of America's education . Then Grand Wizard Ronald Reagan was elected and made HUGE budget cuts in American education . Now look , today fewer kids can even spell correctly .
mannnnn could you imagine getting to play a guitar that the great evh owned and played himself..r.i.p. brother
I like how Eddie points out most all charities just want you to write a check. He was willing to gift the musical instruments immediately for the children to get started on and skip the red tape or them being able to sit on the check for interest gains...
EVH ..legend ..in every way.
Eddie is UNCHAINED... rest in peace King Edward.
