I’ve had my str9 for 3 years, has over 2000 rounds with no problems at all. Great pistol
Stoeger is a US-based company that had retail stores in NJ and NY prior to 2000, but is based in Maryland now and is owned by Benelli USA, which is owned by Beretta. They mostly import guns from Italy and Turkey. Many of my Uberti Colt clones are marked "Stoeger."

I just got this gun today for $199 but only one mag. But, there is a $75 rebate so $125. That is insane. Quality of the finish looks great.

Smoking deal and value! All good points and agree. Jam packed with features, reliable and accurate. Glock still use plastic sights and a set screw on the front. They break and fall off even with Loctite. Glock also have a very thin sheet metal front of slide which can bend and break easily. Stoeger beat them out. Better sights and stronger slide design and build. Good honest review 👍
I bought mine during the covid rush with 3 backstraps, 3 magazines, and tritium night sights for $300. I've shot a few thousand rounds through it with no problems. I'm thinking about buying an optics ready one.
They are better than they should be for what they cost. Throughly enjoying mine.
Oh, The STR-9F is my third in the STR-9 series. They are fantastic pistols and with the rebate, stock up!!

Just picked this up couple weeks ago and it’s only coming with 1 mag now… oh well still with the money and extra mag was $35 from Stoeger directly. Cheap enough to have two of these readily accessible haha

I'm with you on the looks of it. Nice looking gun for sure and apparently quite accurate too. I think your idea of a group of wallet (or purse) friendly guns would be a really interesting and helpful video. Along those lines, have you any experience with the S&W SV somethings? I wonder if the mags are proprietary or if a Beretta 92/m9 mag would work because Beretta owns Stoeger. Wish it took Glock mags.
Canik or Sig 226 mags work, you have to cut a latch hole, takes 2 minutes. Joe Bob Outfitters has factory mags in stock.

Not bad. With a light added price would be around 450ish( unless you use a surefire) , be a good car/truck/ nightstand pistol- easy on the wallet too

What if any threaded barrel do you suggest ?
Not just you but in MANY other gun reviews they talk and fire the gun and say how great it is but the majority of reviews only use range ammo. Does it load and shoot hollow points with no problem? I buy guns for self defense, not range time. Did you use any hollow points?

Plastics are way superior than 30 ,40 ,50,years ago. Just look what Plastics did for the tool industry. Let alone the firearms industry. Get off your high horse 🐴 about metal sights. 😊
