Mighty nice! I like that color too. I'm getting mine in March but I'm cheap so only getting 2 door base 4cyl manual transmission in Area 51. I wanted Antimatter Blue but that is not available anymore for some reason. Only getting a few extras, block heater, modular front bumper, sound deadening headliner, roof rails, aux switches. It will still be plenty customizable over time. I'm actually pretty excited to try out that "Crawler Gear".
Nice just about exactly the specs I wanted, even the color. Can't wait to see more!

Super nice and detailed video on a two door. Sadly, everyone only talks about the four door and we two door fans are left out. I do have a family of 4 and still prefer a two door for the looks, cheaper and I do camp light, since I want to get & go in snap and the more I take the worse. I had 2012 two door Wrangler sport with mild 33's all terrain before I had my second kid and love it, I took it on all terrains. I did struggle in some areas were a rear locker and mud terrains would of help.
Now, I would like a badlands, but I can't afford, so I feel a black diamond should do just fine for the type of mild off-roading I do.
I'll just wait a year or two for supply and prices to go down since the first year Fan Boys, people with deep pockets would get them and I'm ok with that, since they'll deal with the bugs first and later on we more budget type folks could get a chance to get with some rebates and less issues, and hopefully with a soft top to lower the cost .
I ordered a 2 door. Mine will hopefully be built in January
The only Bronco to me is a 2 door. The four door is too much like the jeep

Great video! I'm getting a manual two-door manual Badlands so seeing a vid on a two-door is exciting. Will you be doing a video on what can fit in the back cargo area like you did with your Wrangler? I'm planning on removing the back seats once mine arrives. Enjoy your ride... looks awesome!

This is probably the set-up I would go for - this would be really good for light offroading off the lot and still fit in my garage (thousands of dollars or work tools in back cargo area at night).
It’s done really well so far off-road. Got a couple videos out of it doing so. And it does fit nicely in a garage.

Great video. I just picked my 2 door yesterday. I'm so glad I kept bugging my salesman to add the roof rack. I was reading and saw that it was almost impossible to get it outside the factory at the moment. And it was much more expensive.

Attended Off Rodeo in Vegas (Mt. Potosi). Had a Black Diamond 2 dr, 2.7/Auto, 'Mid' package, Anti-matter blue on order. Drove a 4dr Wildtrack at the Off Rodeo. After I witnessed all the technology of the Badlands - I changed my order to a Badlands for '22 (got pushed from my '21), everything else same except lost my AMB so changed color to Velocity Blue. Nice rig. If I had another 4K I would've upgraded to 'LUX'. Nice rig!

Nice Rig. I have been all over the place in trims and options, and I am gravitating towards the same, similar. BTW, just cut holes for your rear cargo tie downs to be accessed thru. The mat is still a good idea. It should have been done, but no big deal, just get some tin snips or a jig saw and do it yourself. That's the one you're gonna get all scuffed up anyway. Subscribed since our tastes are so similar. I was going to go for the discontinued blue, so now I am looking at the Cactus. Other than that, I am being told by everyone to get the 4 door cuz it's so much better to carry people and stuff. But screw em, they never show up anyway. This is gonna be MY rig, and there is enough room for those that show up, and MY stuff. Databyter p.s. the only difference I can think of besides weight and space is that the 4 door can support a greater tongue weight for towing because of the added weight and length. . Not a big deal.

Nice! I got my build email a month back for November 15. I ordered a base, Carbon Gray, V6, with Sasquatch and the upper switches. I am very curious and hope you can answer this. I saw on a video that when you order Sasquatch the front frame/bumper/tire bars/ guards are removed. I noticed when you took some vid of under, they were indeed gone. Did they give you those at the dealer to add if you want to later on?
when was your blend date? still waiting on mine. your window is supposed to come down a bit before the door opens. better have the dealer look at that.

Glad you got it love that color keep the off road videos coming they are my favorites. I told you earlier that I was getting a Rubicon extreme recon package, I just placed a order on Friday with the dealer for the 2022 model. I know I said I was holding out for the manual, but I went with the automatic v6 with the 4:56 axle in the Tuscadero limited edition color, because if I waited for the manual to come out for the extreme recon package then the Tuscadero color would be gone which was a risk I wasn’t willing to take as the Tuscadero was a must for me. I have been driving manual transmissions all my life this will be my first automatic Jeep , never been off road in a automatic so I will be a complete newbie . Of course I know how to use the transfer case , so when in 4 low in a automatic do I put it in Drive? I wish you would do a tutorial video on the correct way to use a automatic transmission off road on how to go up steep hills and come down them safely that would mean a lot to me seeing your 392 and Bronco are both automatics thanks
Nice! You should still have a good time in the auto! And that color is gonna be nuts! Haha. As far as off-roading in the auto, for the the jeep they want you to be rolling at about 3MPH then Put it into neutral, then put the transfer case in 4L then back in to drive once it’s in 4L

5:28 the outerbanks I test drove had a feature were when you opened or closed the door it would roll the window down just enough to not catch and make the window wobble then roll back up once closed or opened. Not sure if all modes have that.
Yep, all models have that. If I open the door super slow it doesn’t wobble but if I open it normally it dances a little haha

Same spec coming for me other than Area 51, wanted to switch to your color but they said I was getting a 2022 and then last week I get an email that said it’s coming week of Nov 22 and it’s 2021. So much for changing my options. So how are you like it now that you have had it a couple of weeks ?
Hey Dakota can you tell me if the rear blinkers/hazards on that baby turn on in orange, I ask this as I'm planning to get one and take it with me to Europe when I move there and regulation requires that, by the way, something jeep does't have... their rear stuff is all in red...!

I’m torn between the 2 door bronco and a 2 door rubicon as a daily can you give me an honest opinion?
Did you mention the lighting of this vehicle Led or not up front?
Very nice! I’m thinking of getting a 2dr Badlands as well. How do you find the 35’s on road? I’m debating getting it because I will be using this as my daily and I have to do quite a bit of pavement driving to get to dirt.
Having the sasquatch package is worth it if you plan on off-roading on more than just dirt roads. These particular tires are a little noisy so I might be switching to KO2's.
If you're going to do some relatively light off-roading then getting the stock 33's that come on the badlands will be awesome.(they are KO2's) and those will be better on road.

@8:06 - that should be a leather wrapped steering wheel. Every Bronco except the Base get's the same leather one. The Base has a plastic one.
Doesn’t feel like leather. Feels a lot harder then the leather wheels on both my jeeps and on the raptor I sat In right next to my bronco🤷🏼♂️
2.7 ltr engine is a BIG problem...Also, the dealerships are selling for 10-15k over MSRP, thats Ridiculous!
8:00 That’s a leather steering wheel. The vinyl one looks like a piece of molded rubber. Leather wrapped steering wheel is standard on the Big Bend trim and up.
It just doesn’t feel like leather. The leather wrapped wheels in the wranglers feel completely different(better/higher quality) The leather wheel in the Raptor also feels different and better. So that’s probably why it through me off.

My wife doesn't like the bronco. We drove the 4 dr soft top. This would be my vehicle and a daily driver. In the city a lot after 40 mile hyw to get to city. I average about 30k a yr on mileage. I just say last night 1st edition and with hardtop and I think it looks great. Anyway I'm 59 and whatever I get I am planning on keeping. I do not need 4 Dr but do like having the space to haul stuff but can definitely go 2 dr. If want badlands also specs like yours. Wife is thinking I should get either new tacoma trd pro or maybe new tundra but hates its size for so hard to fit in garage and in the city on weekends is horrible. I could go defender but feel it won't last
Mayb you should consider the fuel tank size as well, it’s not great on gas for obvious reasons but having the small tank only seems to accentuate this. I have a similar off-roader (fj cruiser) that gets very similar milage to bronco and has a small tank (19 gal) which means frequent fuel stops.

it does have presence, but i still wish they would do the front more modern, not fan of the round lights on black thick front grill bar, some combination of rectangular lights on top and bottom of the center light strip would make it look closer to baja 1000
I'm sure you can get someone to do that modification for you once you have it. These are going to be fun to personalize! :)
So a non-Rubicon Wrangler, you can manually disconnect the sway bar by crawling under it, supposedly takes about 5 min. Can a non-Badlands do the same thing?
Short answer is yes(I believe) But it will require a bit more effort in the bronco due to the independent suspension so it’s not as easy to access as a live axle.

I’ve seen pics of people taking out the back seats. They say with the right tools that it was easy. I plan on doing that when I get mine
Great looking spec. Still waiting for my badlands to be built 😴. My only gripe as of yet with these is that wonky gauge cluster. Wish they could have just gone full digital like the current f-150 🤦♂️

I have a 4dr Badlands on order should be here any day but I'm having thoughts that a Rubicon 392 may be more fun and may flip the Badlands and get the Jeep what are your thoughts?
I mean if I had to sell one I’d sell the bronco and keep the 392. It feels more special. Sounds way better and still just as capable for the most part. I like the bronco for sure (taking it off-road this weekend) but I LOVE the 392 every time I drive it.

How is the difference in getting in and out of the 2 dr v 4 dr? For me, the 4 dr is pretty awkward to ge in/out of with bad knees and arthritis. Waiting and waiting to find 2dr at a dealer.
To be honest I never even bothered getting in a 4 door. So I can’t really help you there. All I can say is since the door is pretty long in the 2 door the opening is nice and large. Hope that helped haha

How’s the B and O sound system? I have a four door outer banks on order. I’m hopeful the sound is somewhat decent.
The upgraded B&O sound system is very good. Now being that’s it a 2 door hard top that might help it out a bit but it seems to be very good. My raptor also has the B&O and it also sounds great

I just pieced together this same package, and its coming out at $80k. Which frankly is ridiculous. Even a 4 door Wrangler Rubicon isnt that much. I love the Broncos, but that price is honestly insane.

Do the doors come off easily as in the Wrangler, is there a place where to put the screws, and does the windshield flip down?
from what I've seen the doors come off in a very similar manner. The windshield does not fold down and i didn't see any place to put the screws that I could find.

Hi. I ordered a pretty similar Bronco. I’m curious to know what should I expect in terms of mileage?
Currently I’m getting around 17-18 on 90% city driving. I’m going to do a dedicated video to fuel range and MPG. I haven’t gone on long enough trips to have a good guess in total real world range.

I have to same one ordered, only Area 51 color. How long did it take to receive from your order date ?
The order was "confirmed" in march of 2021 and showed up in October of 2021. but I reserved mine 3 hours after the reveal and ford says they're still going by reservation number. so take that with a gram of salt. could be longer or a quicker turn a round for you.

Can you comment on the HP and Torque on the 2.7L? How does it compare to the 3.6L Rubicon?

You can only get a manual transmission in 22 for a Sasquatch with 4 cylinder engine. They don’t offer it in 6 cyl unfortunately

was supposed to be delivered in early august before the hard top problem
I reserved mine 3 hours after the reveal. My original build date was August 23rd(which didn’t happen). And it showed up to the dealer October 6th.

Technically it’s the other way around haha since jeep came out with it after. But basically. I went over some of that when I compared my bronco and my 2 wrangler.

That rubber rear mat is perfect for a dog owner. Dog pees, it goes through all those little crevices, with that raised edge mat not so much.

The window doesn't "wobble" , it does that on purpose because it's a frameless door.
No, it wobbles. The window comes down about an inch for sure, just like my Camaro or my corvette but they don’t wobble like that. There are a lot of times where it does not com down fast enough and it wobbles back and fourth from opening it.
It’s nice. But for me no manual transmission ruins it. Looks nice though!
I can understand that BUT I didn’t want to have the 4 cylinder and not be able to have the Sasquatch package which wasn’t available at the time of me ordering it.

What are your honest thoughts 2.7 w/auto or 2.3 w/MT?
I just don't like the Idea of a 4 cylinder(despite it being a good one) hauling around a heavy, body on frame SUV that will end up adding heavier wheels, tires, overland gear that will all further tax that engine. I'm sure its good but imagine a 2.3 with 37's, a roof top tent, and a bunch of gear? Seems iffy to me as far as it handling well onroad. once your in 4L the gearing will take care of that. Plus most 4 bangers are pretty noisy engines. Now if they had made the manual an option with the 2.7 I would've gotten that. I like off-roading in the manuals . Hope that helped haha

Are you sure that this is velocity blue? I don't think it is
Yep. 100% positive it is. The only other blues for 2021 where antimatter blue, which is basically black. Or lightning blue, which you can only get on a first edition.

How tall
Swaybar disconnect on a IFS vehicle IS NOT even comparable to the Rubicon solid axle off road. I do like the Hi range disc the bronco offers and so does Ford until the lawsuits from people running hiway speeds with their swaybars swinging and putting them in trouble. Alot of cool electrical features though.. From what I have seen on the trails Great product but no jeep killer advertised. Get both.
Mpg you’ve been getting?
Currently about 16ish. Haven’t done any real highway driving in it to see the highway MPG but I’ll do a test on that soon like I did with my 392 👍🏻

Price out the door?
MSRP was $55,255. Out of the door after taxes was 59 and some change. But if you don’t live in Texas, take that number with a grain of salt because your tax rate might be different.
No manual with the V6 on the 22 either
That is not true. Manual IS available with the 2.7 V6 for 2022. I got screwed on getting my 2021 badlands despite my July 17, 2019 place in line. Was told about a month ago that I would be getting a 2022. When I revised my order since my 2021 color (Antimatter Blue) wouldn’t be available, I went back through all order details…..manual transmission is certainly an available option for 2022
