I thought ppl hated BBC......😂
Beautiful car. Love ford GTs
YES. YES. YES. Dear Jethro, or Chris Harris, is who we want you to give this car to. What a film!
Where's Richard Hammond now.
Not crashing this car.
@@nihilist6806 this car has a sigh of relief -LoL
He was at Le Mans a couple weeks ago.
this beauty is just planted on race track. I like modern sports with a proper shocks. It is not bouncy and it just sticks to the ground!
Pricy but thats a beautiful machine
Larry is a motorsport legend and that might be the longest he's ever gone without swearing since he learned how to talk😂😂😂
The new 2025 corvette zr1 just been revealed with 1k horsepower and will probably retail for 10x less the price of the ford gt.
While I agree that the new zr1 is going to be beyond mighty, the gt is in a different category, it's a race car born
Buyers of +$1m ultimate track toys probably aren't looking for 'bang per buck'.
@@TSMagnum82 thats not the point. The point is the zr1 will probably and most likely cost way less and has WAY more power.
Yes, but this car is specifically designed for circuits, becoming much faster than the GTD or GTD Pro (GT3) of the IMSA.
I can’t go as fast around a track tho
I hope the Ford GT returns again within the next 30 years (after the Mk IV, no more 3rd gens will be made). It really is great.
I saw Top Gear uploading a new video and I just clicked.
Jethro in top gear , beautiful decision👍👍
800 hp Ultimate Canadian Supercar more like it
Where it's built has nothing to do with it being Canadian. Kar-Kraft who created the GT40 Mk. II back in the 1960s was also across the river in Canada but was still an American Ford company. Ford has always done this because it's less expensive to create a Canadian company than an American subsidiary. Capiche'?
@@plantfeeder6677 ford didn't create multimatic, it's a canadian company owned by one person.
Ehh my local track, awesome video!
Multimatic 👍🇨🇦
I'm not sure I knew this thing was a thing until now... shows how in the loop I am, but I really liked what I've seen of the first interations of this from 2016 and onwards and this is just that times two almost, really cool! Guess my only tiny complaints of the original car is the exterior design, its almost too simple and clean, its not that its ugly, its not, it looks great... but yeah, just too many clean empty surfaces I guess but its a very minor complaints, if I fell in to a few 100 million dollars I'd buy all of these! :D
Ford is capable of cars like this, and then they build a 4,000 pound Mustang...
That Mustang is also amazing, and very affordable.
@@juzoli it's a Mustang that weighs 4,000 pounds (well, 3,800+ curb). That's nothing to celebrate. It's also not "affordable" by any stretch.
@@nickthaskater I bought mine under $40k, and there is nothing on the market which comes even close.
@@juzoli you bought a 2023+ GT for under $40k new? Not bad if that's the case. That's under MSRP by a good amount.
@@nickthaskater
We get it. You dislike the Mustang and think it weighs too much. What other unoriginal opinion do you have to share with us?
Multimatic is the pinnacle of Motorsport
I love it
only thing i don't like is the graphics but they showed another mk iv in another shot that was pretty
Bovie gone to Top Gear from Hagerty weird.
The J car that in its prototype form killed Ken Miles in front of his son !!
In a way, Ford really stuck it to Ken Miles , shafted him in 66, going for their 1 2 3 finish, but because McLaren had started further back than Ken gave him the win.
He could have done the impossible and won LeMans, Sebring, and Daytona as they were all 24hr races in the 60's.
Sebring was and is 12hrs, but agree with this otherwise
Amazing design and hardware, a work of art that can win le man's
This thing looks mega
1:44 Jethro, you're a 2 time class winner at Le Mans
Ultimate AMERICAN supercar... Designed and built in England, assembled in Canada.
What?? The MKIV designed and built in the UK....don't think so, 🇨🇦 all day
What is the difference between built and assembled, exactly?
multimatic is canadian, they do have a niche vehicle factory in coventry uk though. that's were some of the amg one is manufactured and it's entirely assembled there.
@@blackberrythorns
Yes, but Multimatic were simply hired to assemble the car. Just like they built Aston Martins One-77 model. They didnt create either of these cars. The problem for Ford with the Ford GT series is that the might & manpower at Ford tried their best, but failed at coming up with their own inhouse Ford GT design. And then they tried their best to find an american workshop that could build it... But as Ford said there isnt a single workshop, racing team, or car manufacturer in the entire US that are qualified to put together a carbon monocoque worthy of number plates... Or FIA approved for racing. There is just no scene, no community, no traditions in the entire US for supercar quality craftsmanship or technology.
Its all British. Just like the Hennessey F5, and SSC Tuatara is the same story except thats designed and built by an Italian LeMans car manufacturer in Italy.
@@captain_context9991 "Yes, but Multimatic were simply hired to assemble the car."
ford partners with them on the gt and now the gtd. who did the carbon fibre tub and panels and heavy mods. to the motor, suspension and drivetrain? who did the aero.? they did more than just assemble it.
This car deserves a NA or supercharged V8
A V8 doesn’t fit in the engine bay.
More weight
Na V8 so it can have half the HP and more weight?!
That livery is absolutely magnificent
