“Come As You Are” is the third track and the second single originally on the remarkable album named 'Nevermind' (1991). ’Nevermind’ has sold over 10 million certified units making it 10x Multi-Platinum by The Recording Industry Association of America® (@RIAA). The song “Come As You Are” was the band's second and final American top 40 hit, reaching number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 (‪@Billboard‬). The single reached the top 10 in eight countries and the top 40 in eleven further countries. The song's lyrics were written by vocalist Kurt Cobain.
Nirvana (‪@nirvana‬) performed an acoustic version of the song “Come As You Are” on MTV (‪@MTV‬) Unplugged on November 18, 1993. The recording later appeared on MTV Unplugged in New York in November 1994. The performance earned them their only GRAMMY’s (‪@RecordingAcademy‬) win. The win was for "Best Alternative Music Performance (MTV Unplugged In New York)” at the 38th Annual GRAMMY Awards.
Nirvana members were Kurt Cobain to Kurt Cobain, Dave Grohl, and Krist Novoselic. Nirvana was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (‪@rockhall‬) as performers in the class of 2014.
