Never justify your own builds , just because you want to / can is all anyone needs to know . I’ve got odd engines in odd cars , some like , some don’t but they are mine and one was a high school dream
My dad built multiple trucks back in the late 70’s early 80’s. His first build was a 1969 C10 with a Toroflow diesel. His next build was 1975 f250 with the 3208 Cat. The F250 was a beast! Who cares what others say about your build, it’ll be sweet when it’s done regardless!

You probably gonna want to make some kind of support to from the up pipes or the turbo back to the head, block or the manifold because that's a lot of weight for those up pipes to be supporting by then selfs they'll most likely Crack and brake from the vibrations and weight from my experience at least
Early Cat 3208 had some issues which gave them a bad rap with some of the old timers but Caterpillar kept improving them and they ended up being great motors
Pardon my ignorance but why is a 3208 seem so under powered? ~210hp out of a 10.4L seems crazy to me. I know it’s got decent torque numbers though. Sweet build!
You, sir l have me interested in putting one of these in my 07 Jeep Wrangler 4 door. It currently has a 6.0 LS in it, but that's boring. Can you get me a measurement from back of block to front of pully. And how wide are these engines?
I also kinda want to build my own 4 door cab out of two 2-door cabs because I like how it looks, and 2 door cabs are plentiful and rust free here in California but 4 doors are impossible to find here
@STROKER-GARAGE I thought about a 6.0. The problem is that my only experience is with one that's a leaky pig that doesn't restart for an hour after being turned off. I'm sure Un abused ones are better, though.
@STROKER-GARAGE yeah its not all the same alloy......That body style in particular is known for rusting prematurely. Cab corners and box are already going. Ignorance is bliss young one.
@@zirzmokealot4600 hahaha. I’m gonna disagree with you. I have owned lots of these. More than you. When we’ll taken care of they outlast other makes of the same era
@@STROKER-GARAGEive always been a ford guy. Over the past 25 years ive owned them with 5.4 with 2v and 3v, 7.3, and the v10. Probably over dozen by now within the early99 to 2004 range. All f250 with this exact body style.. Always cheap and rusty. Perfect for plowing, and to beat the hell out of towing trailers. I love that you think so highly of them like they are gold but you're flat out wrong.
I will consider propane injection on this rig. Hopefully I will be making more progress with warm weather coming so I can have a more impressive update.

I’ve wanted to do this with one of my 1976 F250 Highboys . I’ll be taking notes, Thanks for the video.

Very cool build!! Canadian Tire should have the power steering pullers to borrow.
Thank you for the advice! I will purchase of for the shop
Good for you for wanting the 10 speed... That just sounds like a lot of shifting with that light little truck.

Couple Suggestions:
Hater pipes out the fenders
Ebay hood scoops
Fantastic idea. I have been considering Hood scoops directly above the intake for each turbo so they get cold air directly into them
Pretty kool u can do all this, keep chasing ur dreams buddy.
Thank you for the support! More updates coming soon.
Aways excited to see an update on the build!
Crewcab shlongbox? I like it.
My favorite body style

I have always wanted a swapped brick nose. If I get 100k subs I’ll do a 6.0 swapped brick nose

That body and frame will rust and fall apart. You will regret it.
