I'm in Texas, an old Military Vet. I once owned a 7.3 Power Stroke Ford older model. I really liked. Before that I used to see and hear tha first generation dodge trucks. Man to be totally honest to this day I still love tha look and sound of tha older dodge cummins some fifty years later. My plans are to in tha near future find me one
Man I did not expect you to drop Taylor Ray’s name in here! Dude is a great builder and has some sick drift cars. Y’all have two of my favorite channels!
Hey Sam i've been watching your video's the past 3 day's. Great! finished Project's on your Dodge Cummins truck's. I'm Subscribed to your channel. My Uncle Owned a Really nice 2nd Gen 1997 100% Stock besides new axle bearings bushings brakes, paint on hood & roof. He bought the truck brand new in Port Alberni British Columbia. I got my license for the second time early this year. I really wanted to buy his truck. Couldn't get it unfortunately. He sold it for $10,000. I got to see the truck only once in my life when i was 12 years old. I got a another cummins story for ya that i will comment on your white 2nd gen truck towing video. Cheers later. Nick from Van Isl. B.C. Canada
Truck turned out awesome! Perty much built my dream truck. 2nd gen, 12 valve, cummins, 6 speed manual, flatbed, dually, brush guard, everything about that really! Even the color, would like a black, grey, or white truck
Man I just saved big time on those bumpers. They are on sale right now. With your discount and their sale it saved me $850. Basically got the rear bumper free. Thanks and awesome work you do!
Poetry in motion,"that is one bad grandma" can't wait to here it pulling a trailor w a load on.now you gotta bring Callahan , boon and Taylor out to let grandma take it for a scoot.congrats , happy st Patrick's day say hey to v-belt👍🏻🇺🇸
2 years already! How long have I been watching this channel? Seems like last week Alcoa's were bought for the 5500 for hitting 5k subs. Looks great Sam.
That’s a great story and an awesome truck it definitely don’t look like grandma’s truck anymore but it’s money and time well spent to bring her back I hope it stays in the family and maybe someday you can pass it on to your son
LOVE it!! A proper cowboy caddy .them fuel freaks gotta be just squirming to see a lube a filner on that fass setup. I say kudos! And the best word of this build is , doo hickey. Was my granny's fave word next to whatchacallit. Mine was from MN and bless your granny and again great build
Yeah Buddy, that turned out great, can’t wait for another Grandma smiling video. I’ve followed your channel for a while now and this series on Grandmas truck build has been my favorite....Well done Sam and thanks for sharing👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Sam grandma’s truck is awesome I think she’s a keeper lol. What a great job you’ve done with it she would be happy. Love the channel keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
You built basically what I want to do with my next truck. I don't care if its gas or diesel, but I want a dually with extended cab and flatbed. I honestly don't even mind if its dodge, chevy, or ford. we will see what happens in the future. but grandma's truck looks amazing!
Retired vehicle restorer from the UK, and not that into trucks. There's not a lot of Grandma's truck left. BUT, that's smart!!! And I would like to own! it, well done sir
Love the truck. I was looking for a bumper and found Black patch . Then found your channel and saw the bumper on grandmas truck. That was it I bought one. Thanks for the discount. $850.00 shipped.
I bought a 1995 3500 cab and chassis in November 1994 built bed myself and it has 64000 original miles still a good truck but the steering has always been loose enjoyed the video
Love love love this rig ! Man you nailed it..... like you said ya took your time completing it to make sure it was just right. Well done sir ...... she’s a beauty. Now ya need to load up the little man in that exact same seat you rode home with Grammy in and take him for a cruise.
Truck came out great...worth the time and effort. And the story behind it, being your grandma's and riding off the lot in it and all that, makes it all the more satisfying to see it done I'm sure.
dude, you have outdone yourself! that is so sharp, so clean, looks awesome, the attention to detail is impressive. love the running lights on those mirrors, i would love that on my ram. mine are just turn signals. amazing job, you should be proud
Ya did good Sam. I got 20 inch Fuel Mavericks and 12.50s on my 06 g56 dually would be wicked on that truck love your truck content congrats on the baby and all your my favorite channel. Keep it coming 👍👍
I have been with you on this journey, I have seen the multiple engines in and out. There is no doubt that you have touched every nut and bolt on this truck. She was stubborn and fought hard, but perseverance won out. She looks great, congratulations.
Nice job dude! I am in almost the exact same situation as you only maybe not nearly as bad as far as the engine and drive train go. My father-in-law passed last month. My brother-in-law inherited his 2019 Dodge Ram 2500. I inherited his 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 he parked in the cow pasture when he bought the 2019 Dodge. Mechanically the only thing wrong with it is the AC won't turn on and is stuck on heat due to the blend door being broke. The engine fired on the first crank and it has a full tank of diesel in it. It only has 130K miles on the truck. Runs perfect. Now the rest of it is as bad if not worse than yours. The truck never saw a car wash or vacuum cleaner until I took it yesterday. The bed and cab were stacked with all kinds of junk. It has been sitting for 4 years with the back glass broken out. The thing was and still is totally nasty inside even after me scrubbing on it for hours at the car wash yesterday. Fed them a whole plastic baggy full of quarters and I am probably half way done. The bed on the truck is pretty beat up and I love how you solved that problem with the work bed and fixed the front end with the cattle guard. I didn't know you could turn a 2500 into a dually 3500. WOW! I would love to get mine restored as nice as yours but I doubt I will take it that far.
Looks awesome bud! Love the color combo you went with and that it’s now a dually! Congrats I wish many more enjoyable miles in a truck that’s part of your childhood and your family!
Should make the old overdrive button your profile switch if you put in a tuner lol. Overdrive becomes fun mode! Great job on the truck, looks better than my 18'!
I have been waiting for this video!! Excellent job Sam- I am sure your grandma will be happy and proud of all the work you put it and how the truck turned out!!!!
Sam, you did a fantastic job on your Grandma’s car. Is there anything that you don’t know how to do. I have never seen a person that knows so much about everything. I’m sure your grandma is very very proud of you.
When I started watching this I thought it was me talking. The only difference is that my grandma’s 98 2500 just had the shop fall in due to snow load and landed on the truck that only has 80,000 miles. She is giving it to me and I plan on restoring it.
Dang sam i love the way it turned out and love the way it stands and just over all just love the hole truck and you did a really great job on this truck sam proud of you man
Love the color Sam! One of my favorite colors. I think this is the best build you have done! Keep up the bad ass work! And thanks for the videos you do!

I'm sorry Sam but that truck is now my favorite. That thing looks epic👍
First of all you got a bad azz grandma that drives a truck !beast !
Nice truck. You've been blessed with a very sound mind. A winch would have been a great addition on this truck. God bless you brother.
Nice job, really nice job man. You are one talented dude.
