@@RyderBHales "not satisfying that teenage kids were killed in the process"
Those weren't teenage kids. Those were brutal bloodthirsty savage pirates who deserved to die.
"Rights.... something his friends would never know and never could know"
Sucks to be them I guess. They forfeited the right to my empathy when they decided to become degenerates and kidnap an innocent man.
"because they died in the only lucrative work available"
Being a horrible human is not work. Stop trying to make them the victims, they were not.
"Really gives an element of humanity to the pirates"
I disagree. People who risk their lives to take away the property, freedom and lives of innocent people are not humans.
"especially the youngest one who Phillips was telling to put his hands up"
Who almost shot him because he was panicking. Imagine killing someone who does not pose a threat to you because you do not have any respect for the lives of humans at all, and you decide that other people have to pay with their lives for your insecurities. There was NO reason or any kind of benefit in murdering Captain Philipps, yet if they hadn't been shot by the great heroes of the marine corps, they would have done exactly that. All four of the pirates are objectively horrible humans who deserved what happened to them, and it fills my heart with childlike joy to know that three of them are burning in hell already
@@y.r._ You're free to have that attitude, many if not most would share it. The most fundamental component to being a loving person is compassion - both for oneself and others. I am grateful that I can see humanity in such horrific actions, even if you are too one dimensional and reactionary of a thinker to do the same. I sincerely hope you never end up in a situation where you make a grave error of judgement and require the compassion of others to gain redemption
I can only agree
@@RyderBHales "The most fundamental component to being a loving person is compassion"
I am a compassionate person. Which is why, if someone does someone else harm unjustly, I have compassion for the victim, not for the demon perpetrators.
"I am grateful that I can see humanity in such horrific actions"
I am grateful for that too. I am glad to see the humanity of captain philips survive, and the heroism of his saviors. If it's not human to fight evil, I do not know what your ideas of humanity are.
"I sincerely hope you never end up in a situation where you make a grave error of judgement and require the compassion of others to gain redemption"
Thanks for the concern, I won't, because I am not evil. Everyone makes mistakes, but I would never plan and execute the kidnapping of an innocent man and then threaten his life because I panick, despite him not posing any threat whatsoever to me. That's because I am a human and not a soulless demon. Like his abductors.
They do the same scene in the FPS Medal of Honor: Warfighter
and in South Park. ua-cam.com/video/CUTHktI8kJA/v-deo.html
played it yesterday. Same scenario but in the eyes of the sniper. Good game.
This is a job for Cap’ N’ Crunch NOT Captain Philips
Captain Phillips is a True Ass.
To know that's how that really happened. Incredible
Scenes really fake for Hollywood the seal team leader would be the only guy calling the shots
@@mikea2410 the guy calling the shots was the seal team leader tho……
The shots themselves were essy the co ordination and timing a masterclass
The movie's casting crew did a great job on selecting the actors playing the Samoli pirates. They were viciously scary looking along side & next to the crew of the ship Maersk Alabama. The Navy was bad ass as allways !
Oh Boy, still knowing this is a movie scene- it grips u like hell. What amazing direction.
This happend in real life!
What a glorious day that he was saved. See ya boys.
The Seal Team commander on this operation, the guy who said “execute”, his name was Lt CMDR Jonas Kelsall and was killed on Aug 11 2011 in Afghanistan when his helicopter was hit with an RPG. RIP Lt CMDR Jonas Kelsall.
And those snipers, for two boats to be nodding about at different time and hit all three targets at the same time is outstanding!
This is all about military disciplines, tactics and focus to do a job highly inspirational
Excellent execution. Great director for this movie
Navy is best of the best. It is no surprise they brought in the SEALS to take out Bin Laden. Bless our troops from all branches.
those shots were cleaner than my soap will ever be.
People keep saying excellent job by Tom Hanks. The guys that played the Somali pirates were outstanding. Everytime i watch this movie it feels like the first time.Great job to everyone!!!!
jeezes fck, that sniping was smooth, smooth AF! it was so smooth, i have goosebumps over it!
Something about the shear absolute professionalism of the military is wonderful to watch.
the best of Max Martini as a DEVGRU commander
Dude loves his military roles
As a service member I am so proud of my brothers and sisters who protect us and guard our freedom 🇺🇸 ❤
This was one hell of a movie the was about somali pirates in somali coast lines what a movie back in 2013
From rescuing Captain Philips to piloting a Jaeger, this guy is something!
I imagine the REAL Captain Phillip's was irritated by that blubbering by Tom Hanks.
Cant imagine for the captain to have all that chaos going on tied up and blindfolded and noise and then just silence.
This background music is the same as the music at the end of United 93, which Paul Greengrass also directed. Epic
The part where Captain Phillips is yelling "i love you!!" to his family had me crying up a storm along with the rescue scene 😭😭
i initially thought those awesome shots were from about 100 yards , turns out it was just about 20 yards but still high skilled move by the SEAL teams
Yeah, only about 925,000,000 guys in the world could have made those shots.
30 yards at night, at a moving target, from a moving ship, with about 6 inches to aim for with SR-25 7.62mm rifles. Try just simulating that shot with a balloon and see if you can have 3 people all hit their shots at the same time and you don't get a second chance.
.... okay, I'm purchasing this video right now.
I.ts a testament to the men who go through hell to be the best of the best so we can be safe in our homes watching this.
I respect the actors of the pirates. They are the reason this blow up
YEAH!!! I KNOW IT'S A MOVIE BUT MADE ME EVEN MORE PROUD OF OUR NAVY SEALS!
I’ve served in USASOC and I’ve known some amazing Soldiers who where Snipers! They where smooth as silk and cold as ice! Glad I played on their team while serving! 🇺🇸🤘
SEAL could solve it quickly , right at the drop zone. All American rescue services came late, but Thank God, they have good luck!
not luck, raw skill and by that point, years of training and experience.
While everyone comments on the soundtrack being from United 93, I comment on how the SEAL commander plays a cop in one of the episodes in flashpoint
Dude he’s a badass from The Unit!
He’s also in Contact with Jodie Foster. Pacific rim. Saving private Ryan. 13 hours the Benghazi movie. Great actor.
@@kevinchester6721 that's Max Martini for ya.
Incredible acting. Period.
The silence in the boat after the shots fell are deafening
2:39 ... damn i would have never thought of that in a million year.... imagine doing that in the most intense and pressuring moment
One of the coolest scenes I’ve ever seen
The final act of this is seriously some of Hanks best acting.
Those badass seals are never gonna miss
