For those of you wondering why the railguns weren't used in future Transformers movies is because of the following: 1: Railguns are energy hogs, shooting once would require a lot of energy thus the need of a completely separate weapons platform is needed (USS Kim). 2: Railguns use a extremely kinetic and fast projectile, their accuracy needs to be well placed or a miss/collateral damage could occur. 3: Railguns of that nature are clearly only meant to shoot at large, slow-moving, bulky targets. Shooting once at smaller decepticons who move around all the time would be extremely ineffective. 4: Railguns aren't exactly cheap, building them on ships and replacing all of those weapons would cost a lot, and after discovering that your world is being invaded by cybernetic robots I don't think the US would have trillions of dollars to set aside on experimental weaponry just yet. 5: Finally railguns would only be used in massive and last resort missions, not hunting decepticons in cities. Imagine is someone shot a skyscraper instead of a decepticon, yeah... 6: And of course movie budget xD.
this is a movie with alien transforming robots that can create weapons out of seemingly nothing and somehow megan fox's teeth constantly stay shiny and white no matter the situation. I don't think its too much of a stretch to question it.
Yeah. You had said it right, friend. But despite the most powerful mighty military might that the United States of America has, it's no match for The Fallen. It HAD actually worked against Scorpion (dammit,I don't know how to spell the villian's name properly). But among everything else,Sam Witwicky, trying to revive Optimus Prime. That had been one of the best action moves in that movie. Correction : it's Revenge Of The Fallen.
@@particularace_1801 And Tomahawk missiles had been quite effective. It had been a last resort. But it HAD been effective. I had liked the way the movie's soundtrack music had protrayed that action sequence. Don't you agree?
I think they got caught up in the whole theme of the film and transformed into USAF Falcons. Or, more likely, Michael Bay figured people wouldn't notice the difference... oh, hey, check out these explosions!
At 0:22, you hear "Task Force Ripper, execute landing" in reference to the Marine landing force. In real life, Task Force Ripper was a USMC armor unit that was part of the 1st Marine Division during the 1st Gulf War. Task Force Ripper fought in the battle to liberate Kuwait City. @@AlmostInteresting_03 The audience isn’t meant to feel it, it’s what the soldiers would feel. It truly highlights how they’re able to still fight through all of this.

That actually was intentional. It was to convey that millions of years of fighting have turned them into savages and increase their bloodlust. Same can be said about the Autobots, they too have become brutal thanks to years of fighting.

@@SDfan2002 The cube put ancient symbols in Sam’s head that gave hints to the location to Megatron’s Plan B of the trilogy. So Sam was being followed by the Decepticons the whole time. When he found the Matrix, a device of power used to activate sun harvesters for Energon, The Fallen took it to activate the Great Pyramid because he hates humanity. The Matrix can simultaneously manipulate Energon, in a way that’s a power up and a revival technique, instead of having to sacrifice a spark like how they resurrected Megatron. Earlier, The Fallen was stopped by his brothers, and inspired Megatron for everything. As how to get to the Matrix, it was another historical manipulation, where the religion of the 3 Kings and the Dagger’s tip, a religious aspect, is an alien hint, to where the Matrix was. Also, the Autobots are collaborators with the American government. There’s a bunch of little details as to why which bot does what, but those aren’t plot-based, so I don’t need to get into that. It's a real pleasure to hear that military in this clip is shown as a real, organized force to be reckon with and not just bunch of dudes with guns and cars who just run around like headless chickens.
When did they mention there was Canadian, UK and French troops during the battle? Also the Jordanians that came to help, who were two flights of Black Hawks, were quickly shot down as soon as they arrived and then were never mentioned again.
Not gonna lie this whole sequence of military comms and battle is so good. Literally T1 and in T2 so good…. Probably the best “so sick” moments. Than any movie, any recs?
My biggest problem with this scene is “Sir how do you know this, this is classified?” He just called you specifically. He knows what your fleet has in it. He is giving you coordinates to fire it at. Stop telling him that’s all classified IF HE ALREADY KNOWS AND CAN TELL YOU ALL THIS STUFF. Obviously he’s under classification to know after all of that
I think he has the reason to ask that because even though the guy on the phone knows stuff that'st supposed to be classified he can't even identify himself so that's extra suspicious if you ask me. Also just because he knows those classified things doesn't mean they can fire at the coordinates that he gave
Yeah, that or he looked up a railgun on the internet, it’s not like the concept isn’t common knowledge. But by angrily replying “tHat’S cLasSiFiEd” to anonymous radio guy, Cpt. Wilder just confirmed that the US Navy has one in the fleet, which is a massive screw up on his part. All things considered, I think Wilder actually complied way too quickly and easily, assuming we saw the entire conversation. This guy gets a random radio call from someone screaming like a madman, using unprofessional civilian language, screaming about “aliens attacking a pyramid”, and identifying himself as an “agent” of a disbanded organization that Wilder’s definitely never heard of before - Sector 7 was so classified the Secretary of Defense hadn’t even heard of it in the first movie. Random radio guy then proceeds to ask Wilder to *fire on the Great Pyramid of Giza* If Simmons isn’t who he says he is, which was a very likely possibility, and nothing was actually happening there, then Wilder just fired on and partially destroyed one of the world’s most famous and treasured ancient ruins, a thousands of years old UN World Heritage Site, probably the most important place in Egypt, and just outside of the capital Cairo. This man would have single-handedly caused one of the worst international incidents in recent history, and likely would have brought the US and Egypt to the brink of war. Wilder wouldn’t just lose his rank and command, he’d be dishonorably discharged and would probably be looking at decades to life in prison. So yeah, I think he made that decision a little too quickly if you ask me.
@@JakvsMetalheads999 Sure, but he also just launched a bunch of Hornets and Marines to the Egyptian coast to fight giant robots; so honestly even if some random Lance Corporal got on the radio and said "SUPER GIANT WORLD DESTROYER 9000 IS ON TOP OF THE PYRAMID DROP A FUCKING NUKE ON IT" I'd be pretty inclined to just take him at his word.
@@pxatm Fair point, somehow it hadn’t actually clicked with me that he was the one that launched that attack. The Stennis is probably the only carrier in the area, so it would have been his ship that they launched from. 1: Railguns are energy hogs, shooting once would require a lot of energy thus the need of a completely separate weapons platform is needed (USS Kim).
For number 5 that's why they just used tomahawk missiles if u seen it in the 3rd movie
this is a movie with alien transforming robots that can create weapons out of seemingly nothing and somehow megan fox's teeth constantly stay shiny and white no matter the situation.

Also, can we all agree that Jetfire is probably the best character in this movie?

Obviously he’s under classification to know after all of that
The many flaws of Michael Bay's writing
Random radio guy then proceeds to ask Wilder to *fire on the Great Pyramid of Giza*
If Simmons isn’t who he says he is, which was a very likely possibility, and nothing was actually happening there, then Wilder just fired on and partially destroyed one of the world’s most famous and treasured ancient ruins, a thousands of years old UN World Heritage Site, probably the most important place in Egypt, and just outside of the capital Cairo.
