Okay few people are wrong here: Three singles were not released as yet because 1. Nevermind hadn't come out yet 2. CAYA was not even filmed yet that was Jan 92'. As someone stated only SLTS was out at the time. Also first time Teen Spirit was played live was at the OK hotel on April 17th 1991
Amazing clip. This made my day. After seeing this clip, who could have known what the future was about to show them...? I mean, the song is a truly masterpiece. It's brilliant!
According to an article in the New York Times Beehive Records, Seattle SEPT. 16, 1991 What was supposed to be an acoustic in-store performance ahead of the release of “Nevermind” turned into a full-band onslaught, with fans moshing in the store. Ms. Warnick recalled the band’s earlier celebration at Re-bar in Seattle. “They had a food fight,” she said, “and got kicked out of their own record release party.”
I was stationed at Ft Lewis and saw them in a bar in Seattle before they became them. I also saw Griffey Jr and Sr play together in the same outfield. And Randy Johnson’s no-hitter against Detroit. Used to shout “hey Kid, do a trick!” and Griffey would look back and spin his glove on his finger.
The camera man obviously had no idea what a beast Grohl is on the drums or he would have shot film on the other side of the room. That's about all you can hear from this gig is the destruction of drum heads.
