@@Scoots1994 Truth. Not every band needs to be heard live, but Grohl is one of those performers who just have to be seen live. I've yet to have the chance, but I'll be here when the Foos comes around.
It’s pretty interesting. Not a particularly complicated drum part but there’s just something uniquely original/Nirvana about the way Dave plays it. Instantly recognizable.
I love watching Dave completely relive his youth in this video. His eyes behind his hair, just absolutely demolishing the drums. I love watching this video and I love Nirvana and Foo Fighters. Rock on Dave.
That feeling in the middle of it, Dave reached into a early-Dave Nirvana soul and started bashing as he used to do it. He was living his days in this fucking awesome drumming and right at the end, his realization to live in present was surreal.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched this and it still amazes me. You can see the moment Dave switches into muscle memory, the years just fall away and we all get lost with him in the past. There’s no telling what’s going through his mind hearing Kurt’s voice together with a receptive, live audience again as he plays the song that turned his band of misfits into the reluctant voice of a generation.
I love it so much! The first time I cried. I was never able to enjoy Nirvana again- until I saw this. It ripped a 30 year old band aid- and I recovered the ability to just enjoy the epic uncharted universe that was birthed from this band and Seattle in the late 80- early 90s.
Is the internet in agreement that this is best ever and will always be the the best ever drum solo live for this song? Damn it’s so good and passionate
Speechless- at first he was just playing the drums. But by the end, you could feel his heart and soul through those drums. He is by far the best rock musician alive right now.
