The people in this concert have no idea at that time, how lucky they were, to have seen this live. This is absolute peak performance
well they know now!
Oh we did, possibly more so now, but Nirvana was a highlight of my Reading Festival in 92.
You have to be "old" to understand your reference. Might well be the greatest performance ever, of the greatest song ever. Nuanced.
I understood VERY well how lucky I was to be there. Sleeping in a flooded tent. Stood in the middle of the field on an upturned oil drum with my best mates and a yellow waterproof shielding us from the rain. We knew then we were a part of history and have dined out on the experience every since 👌🏻
@LizNewtonZHUCHI yup I've been dining out on this too and I remember the floods well! We were at Reading in 1990 too which was a scorcher, but we saw only a fraction of the bands as we spent the majority of the time stoned on the banks of the Thames, while we kept bottles of white Thunderbird cool in the river. Class 😂
At 1:13 Krist’s expression is like "wow Kurt is doing shit but it’s so cool"
it made me smile
This is my favourite version of SLTS, first butchering Moe than a feeling, Than decorating the song with the ad lib half assed licks and of course that fabulous solo, which I can listen to multiple times in a row. I don't know why but that sounds perfect to me
Wrong intro...but who cares hahahahaha

Hearing Kurt play guitar in this, gives me more confidence about my guitar playing
Me too but... After a while I researched smells like teen spirit and saw a video that explained a little about it. Kurt didn't expect the success of this song and expresses several things in a subliminal way, in short: He hated those teenagers who only saw a song as "fans" and so that's why he started playing Smells Like teen Spirt badly so that the " fans" leave.
Im from Brazil and take it in google traductor i hope that's right.

I think they did that because there was talk about the song being ripped off from the boston song.
But ultimately a lot of songs are comparable in chord progression. Sheeran won that argument as well recently.
