As far as the Mister Misty-Eyed line: I don't think it's connected to the lore unfortunately, as far as i'm aware, though I have always wished it were the name of a character. I think it's just Tyler saying that he's an openly emotional person, which doesn't really fit the typical persona of what people consider rappers to be. He really is a BEAST of a rapper and writer, despite what he says though!

Fellow metal head here, as well as an old lady (48 :D ). I love my metal music, but my favourite band is TOP, and has been ever since I heard Fall Away for the first time, back in 2011 or 2012. They have not made a single song I do not like or find some kind of meaning in. And I cannot say that about any other band. They are truly special.
It's a super good idea to go Heavydirtysould, Jumpsuit, Nico and the Niners and Levitate. While the 'story' starts on the Blurryface album (that's when we get introduced to Blurryface, and there's some hints on the cover of that album, to mention just a few things), going through these videos from Trench is a better visual journey I think.
I'm not sure how much to say, cause I don't want to spoil your journey. And you could already have gotten all this from patreon members and previous reactions. But on the other hand, I also don't want you to miss out. So a few pointers., from my personal perspective. Very important that it's personal perspective. Not claiming absolute facts. I read and digest all TOP lore I can. But I can still easily be wrong :)
* The car itself is important. And while the song Car Radio isn't a lore song (and he really did get his car radio stolen) I belive there's a connection. Or at least he's using the same 'imagery' to tell the same thing. For me, this is Tyler trapped in his mind. Depressive thoughts taking over (he's told us he is fighting depression and anxiety and other mental health challenges). Josh helps him escape it. Note how the car doors, for instance, falls off in beat to Josh's drummings. He is there for Tyler. Just as in Ride, they put on the sunglasses on each other. Friend helping friend.
* The driver of the car is super important! You only get glimpses now, but he will appear in later videos as well. Note that sometimes there is no driver ;)
* I'm sure people have told you this already, but the black neck and black hands are a symbol of Tyler's insecurities about his creativity and music. The neck, cause of his voice. And hands cause lyrics and instruments. So when he has that black paint on him, it is to show that Blurryface is 'in control' ("My name is Blurryface, and I care what you think"). He is trapped, within himself, with his thoughts. Again, please note that this is what I've grasped from the music and various deep dives into the lore. So my take on it. I am sure there are people interpreting it differently.
* Depression is cyclical in nature. So Tyler starts in the car and he ends in the car. Just like in Car Radio, where he starts with a full head of hair, cuts it off and then in the end, when he is once again all alone with his thoughts, the hair is back.
There's a lot more, both in the text and in the video. Little tidbits and easter eggs. But I think some of the fun with all of this, is once the story starts unfolding, going back to some of the older videos and suddenly seeing/discovering them for yourself, is a real treat too.
Sorry for my english, it is not my native language. And thanks for your reactions. There's such a joy for us TOP fans to see new people discovering this band and realising that this rabbit hole is deep, but incredibly well crafted and enjoyable. When they made the Blurryface album, Tyler actually had a vision for how the story in the latest album, Clancy, would end, 9 years later. While some details have been added and fine tuned, it is still one long story, that started back in 2015. Now that is dedication.

You did a great job with this on only a first listen. The more you listen, the more you pick up. With each new song, you will also make connections. This song shows the same beginning and end, because it is all happening in his mind. He's in the back seat, because he feels like he is not in control. Notice the hooded driver and then no driver in the video. Music is his catharsis, and he is not rapping like a gangster whose songs are about nothing except drugs, sex, and violence. Tyler is trying to actually say something important. "Can you save my heavy dirty soul" is cried out, but to whom? Is it Tyler's music, God, or the fans? It is open to interpretation. You'll notice cars and roads being very prominent in many videos. I'll be back for any Twenty One Pilots reaction. Enjoy the ride.
