Thank you for this extremely detailed tutorial!
Thank you! This seems like a much better (and cheaper) option than buying a new laptop.
But it was a new laptop :)
Is a little wait worth replacing an entire laptop??
Will this install all the previous software and files on the old computer? I'm watching the recovery and it looks like a brand new Windows install.
A recovery drive will only restore the OS, if you want the contents of the entire drive you have to clone it. Clonezilla is free Samsung Magician is free too but you need to clone to Samsung drives. Acronis True Image work well but you need a paid version unless it comes with your new drive.
This is exactly the video I was looking for. Absolute legend!
Man, what a difference! I'm planning on adding an optane drive, since that costed a lot less than an SSD for me
Ssd are faster
@@alexpadillayt Actually, Optane drives are NVMe which is much faster than SATA SSDs
@@markdawson25 thank you for the information
Were you able to add the M.2 / NVMe and make it the primary boot? Some of the HP docs seem to indicate it can only be a secondary drive.
@@joeneubauer3208 I haven't tried that out, honestly. However, I'm pretty sure that you can make an NVMe drive, but that will probably void a warranty.
your remark on this is highly awaited
Legend 🔥
You make us see the ssd installation so easy and simple way, thanks for that. cool video
i have the same laptop and had to reseat the memory modules could not have cracked it open w/o your help, thank you!
Hi. You should perhaps point out the M2 SSD port which is just above the 2.5" HDD. Also. Could you please list the part number of your HDD flexcable and the fans? I broke my SSD port so I'm going to use the HDD port but there is no cable included and the one I ordered didn't work...
Well done thanks, would additional RAM help with laptop speed?
Does anyone know where I can buy a new motherboard online for this hp pavilion 15-cs...really need help...
thankyou for this video i have one query that while upgrading can i add another ram of same sepcifications upside down in the same slot? that whether i can add the new ram along with the previous one- is there space for 2 or just one? or i just have an option of replacing the previous ram with the new one?
Fantastic video. I don’t understand the thumbs down votes. This is outstanding. Thank you.

A I always worry when I encounter these panels that snap in, thanks for showing where the clips were. Some are on the case and some are on the back panel and I didnt want to break any or damage the case guessing. Mine was really snug even on the back.
B awesome detail explaining for people that wouldnt be as tech savvy. You pointed out a all the key details on this model if you were to replace the HDD.
C those Samsung EVO's are great, I couldnt tell if you got the 850 or 860.
does anyone know how the rubber feet feel after put back on? I have been wanting to upgrade my laptop but I do not want the feet coming lose
Very interesting, I'll try this tuto on my new PC
Lovely tutorial. Question.. I have a wired printer attached to the laptop and initially used the accompanying cd to install the software. If i made a bootable drive, would that transfer the printer software over as i cant find the cd and Brother doesn't show it on their homepage anymore.. Thanks in advance
Thank you for this! Liked and subscribed!
Hi thanks for this info can you tell me where the Cmos battery is located? Thanks
It's really nice video...could you please let me know what kind of toolkit i need to open the laptop back cover
Thank you mate. That was a fantastic tutorial.
Thanks for this instruction video, just one question. for making the recovery ,What size is required for the USB drive ?
CC series is similar, 2 screws on bottom, and hard drive in rubber cradle, lift cable end up, and 2 tabs lock under opposite end.. had a drive failure so customer losing data.. just putting OS in with secure boot so they can get 11 in future..
