I only had it only weeks before this happened and it won't turn on and no charger indicator either. I hoped it would just dry out and not die. Obviously, I can't go a day without a computer and ran out to buy another one. (No warranty after an accident?) In your video here I see the ssd is not what I thought it was but separate from the SATA drive. What's kept on the SSD card? Why can these things get killed off so easily? A nefarious plot? Programmed self destruction? What do you feel might need to be replaced?
It looks like yours did not come with an SSD: www8.hp.com/ca/en/laptops/product-details/product-specifications/27940145 If you need to recover your data from the hard drive, buy this: www.ebay.com/itm/SATA-to-USB-3-0-HD-SSD-Hard-Drive-Adapter-Converter-Cable-US-Plug-Wall-Charger/133443458668?hash=item1f11d9966c:g:ylYAAOSw7qFe7QfK or something similar. This will allow you to remove the bare hard drive and connect it to your new laptop as an external drive so you can get all your data from it. From your description it sounds like you killed the motherboard, which sits under the keyboard. At this point I would recommend a more recent laptop with an SSD, you can load your old data into it and you will be happy with the huge speed increase. The SSD is like a hard drive with no moving parts so it is usually orders of magnitude faster than a spinning hard drive. Most modern laptops have them and they store everything from the operating system to cat videos.
