    A bit of white wine splashed over my keyboard and I turned it over really quick to avoid anything getting through but it did.
    Very impressed with you and your video. I don't really trust people to know what they are doing to really service anything.
    It's all B.S. for the money and not helping, mostly. You are not one of THEM You are one of the GOOD guys.
    I only had it only weeks before this happened and it won't turn on and no charger indicator either. I hoped it would just dry out and not die.
    Obviously, I can't go a day without a computer and ran out to buy another one. (No warranty after an accident?)
    I figured okay, what matters most is my data and planned on removing the drive and casting the rest.
    I was going to order a housing for it. The box says SSD. It is model 15-db0088ca
    I see you would purchase it for parts. Hmm ... interesting... Maybe there is still hope for it.
    In your video here I see the ssd is not what I thought it was but separate from the SATA drive. What's kept on the SSD card?
    Why can these things get killed off so easily? A nefarious plot? Programmed self destruction?
    What do you feel might need to be replaced?

    • @Sellbrokedotcom
      @Sellbrokedotcom  4 роки тому

      It looks like yours did not come with an SSD: www8.hp.com/ca/en/laptops/product-details/product-specifications/27940145
      If you need to recover your data from the hard drive, buy this: www.ebay.com/itm/SATA-to-USB-3-0-HD-SSD-Hard-Drive-Adapter-Converter-Cable-US-Plug-Wall-Charger/133443458668?hash=item1f11d9966c:g:ylYAAOSw7qFe7QfK or something similar. This will allow you to remove the bare hard drive and connect it to your new laptop as an external drive so you can get all your data from it. From your description it sounds like you killed the motherboard, which sits under the keyboard. At this point I would recommend a more recent laptop with an SSD, you can load your old data into it and you will be happy with the huge speed increase. The SSD is like a hard drive with no moving parts so it is usually orders of magnitude faster than a spinning hard drive. Most modern laptops have them and they store everything from the operating system to cat videos.

    I reset this laptop and it was working fine, albeit a little slow. I installed windows 11 on it and it wouldn’t restart, showing problems with the C drive that it couldn’t fix. I ran it through Eurosoft PC Check and it showed that the motherboard and CPU had failed and that there was no hard drive present. I’ve taken the hard drive out and hooked it up to another pc and it’s working fine. Very odd.

    • @Sellbrokedotcom
      @Sellbrokedotcom  4 роки тому

      I would first try a different power adapter, sometimes when they go bad voltage can increase too much. You could also just test yours if you have a multimeter. The only other thing that comes to mind is a bad motherboard, when the power adapter is plugged in the voltage going to the motherboard is naturally higher and any heating or open circuit problem on the motherboard will happen faster.

      Sorry that would definitely be a google question, not knowledgeable enough in the differences between manufacturers. I would find the fastest speed RAM your motherboard can take and use that.

      Of course! Check out 4:25, once the bottom case is removed the 2.5" SATA hard drive is on the bottom left.... just a couple screws and it will slide out of the SATA connector. Then a few more screws to release the hard drive from the metal bracket. If you meant your SSD is bad, check out the bottom right, just one screw and it pulls out (yours is a SATA M.2 2280 SSD I believe).

    I have same laptop but CPU cooler is just a silver plate instead of a heatsink with a fan. And temps go brrrrr.
    Do you know Is it possible to change heatsink.

    Thanks for the video! The computer you disassemble is very similar to mine and helped me replace a battery. I think I need to replace the motherboard on my laptop, but it is hp-15da0073ms. Is the motherboard the same in both computers? Thanks!

      @@Muxik4k I can't remember if there's a bios jumper on it. But I would take out the battery & hold down the power button for 30 secs to drain it. Might be the same effect.

    Idk why but that lock that protect the under part of the laptop doesn't fit in anymore, I can't get to sit there underneath
    And I can't find any answers or even clues to this issue

    HOW in the world did you remove the little screws underneath the feet. Their not just flush, they are below flush and wont come up. What tool did you use? I can't get the bottom to come off because of 2 little screws.

    Hi. I have a question and I hope for a quick response. There seems to be a clicking noise causing some sort of Drive missing problem in my HP laptop? Do you know what it is because I want to check if it's plugged properly, or it's really a part failure.
