Thank you so much for making this video. It helped me save a perfectly good laptop from getting trashed. One tip I have is using flush cut snips on the plastic nubs. They're faster and safer. Cheers!
I need to replace only the top cover, not the keyboard. Would this be easier? Can I do this without removing the melted aluminum panel from the keyboard?

The metal plate enters with pressure? It does not need to be glued or solded?

The whole process of changing just a keyboard is unnecessary
