Thank you so much! Your video gave me the confidence to do this on my own. Installed 8gb stick and M.2 SSD. There is a click when the drive is seated. I used a guitar pick to gently open the case. Awesomeness!
Thanks to your clear and precise instructions, I was able to upgrade both my M.2 NVMe drive and add more RAM to my computer successfully. Thank you! You just got a new subscriber.
I followed all the steps as per your video to upgrade my HP-15SGR0010AU with additional 8GB RAM and added additional 500GB NVME SSD and clone my windows to m.2 NVEM SSD it worked perfectly well. Thanks for the video cheers 🍻
Thanks for the video! It allowed me to look before I jumped in. I was able to SUCCESSFULLY upgrade my M.2 SSD on my HP Spectre and replace the battery thanks to you.
thank you so much boss for this video tutorial. will be replacing and cloning my western digital 512 gb to a 2tb nvme. subscribed to your channel already
Why would you have to upgrade the MvMe ssd if it brand new just bought it today? Does that void that warranty and the return policy on the laptop ?? Wgu not just buy the laptop with the bigger 1TB ssd drive??
I have an HP Pavillion g7 17 laptop with 4gb ram it needs an SSD and more memory. Would like 1 terabyte SSD and maybe 16 or 32 gb ram. What do you suggest ?
I have cloned my 1 TB HDD to 240GB(233GB SSD) i have cloned all the partition except local disc i have a HP machine.... i m unable to update my windows after cloning and i m unable to use HP Recovery(F11)....
Hi, great video thanks. I want to do exactly the same thing with my HP laptop. Going from 256gb to a Samsung 970 plus 1tb. Should I use the Samsung migration software or the Macrium Reflect? would appreciate your help, thanks..
I tried using the Samsung Data Migration software with a USB enclosure, as he did because I only had the single M.2 but it would not see the new 970 EVO Plus drive using the tool...I could see the drive in Device Manager and initialize the 970 but could not use the software for the migration, I had to use Macrium Reflect......
Hello, Sir. I just wanted to ask if I could install the new SSD directly into the laptop's motherboard and run the cloning afterwards or should I do the cloning first using an SSD enclosure or an adapter? Buying an adapter is not on my budget yet. 😅
Amazing video! I have the same computer and hp manufacterer acount said on amazon that this model is not RAM upgradable. So i'm kind of confused now, it is as this simple tu upgrade both ram and ssd?, and wich kind of models should i get?
Hi. Yes HP and most of the manufacturers will tell users their laptop is not user upgradeable. I use Corsair and Timetec ram mostly. Crucial, samsung or WD blue, or ADATA XPG are good brands for SSD. Dale
Have you any opinions about Acronis True Image? I have only failures with the crucial P2 cloning. Then I learn on their site that for laptops, they suggest Make a bootable rescue usb thumb drive, new drive in the computer, original in the external usb 3 adapter and then proceed. 😞 Fail.--- so with Macrium, similar reverse clone? Or try as you have. Also read many have more success with create complete backup then restore to the new drive. 🤓 Again Fail. (Envy X360) I will give Macrium a try and look for a reply soon. 🤠
i followed the link for the hard drive because its the same brand as my current hard drive . However on amazon it says desktop compatible .it will work just fine for my laptop then?
I buy a new hp 17BS00XX laptop I bought a laptop on February 1 2018 it doesn't have any mmve ssd slots only a Seagate 2TB mechanical sata drive ?? If you have extra $400 for MvMe DRIVE and $100.00 16GB ddr4 ram you can use that just buy new laptop with the MvMe ram already have it in the new laptop

What adapter dongle did you use to connect the new drive to the laptop usb
Was just what I was looking for to upgrade my laptop but would to put a 1TB instead of 512gb
You showed a connector for 2.5 in hard drive (timestamp 17:40). What connector is that and how can I get the cable for connector to SATA? Thanks.
I have de same question.
Great channel just subscribed
Hey thanks my friend. Dale

Is it really required to clone it externally? Or can I just put it inside my laptop's mobo and clone it from there?
What happens if I don't unplug the battery?

Hi. You have to clone first using an adapter on this model
Got a question maybe you well no what’s wrong!!! My computer turns on but it’s black and the cap button is blinking and the WiFi is on!!!
I assume you have an HP laptop. Just google search hp blink codes. That will tell you what the blink pattern means. Dale

Hi. I've used Macrium free edition many times. Had good luck with it. Here in my store though, we use mainly Acronis, paid edition.

Oh boy, Amazon has done this before. You need a 2.5 inch hdd, not 3.5 inch.
I will check the link. You need a 2.5 inch hdd, NOT a 3.5 inch.
