This video was recorded 2 days before the album was released in 1982. They just released their 41 album and are going on tour this year. The singer pilots the bands 747. Sold over 200 million albums. All the guitarists play in harmony and all do a solo.

Hey the Iron Maiden guys are the most humble men you could meet. I used to play football(soccer) with Steve Harris way back before Iron Maiden took off.....he is a top bloke....."up the 'Ammers".
All the band members were next level before the level existed. Not just in talent, but personality. Singer Bruce Dickinson said once that it's his job to make sure everyone has the same experience regardless of how much they paid for their ticket. Iron Maiden came from very humble beginnings, so they understand the value of a dollar. They were the band of the people.
I stand by the idea that Iron Maiden is Rush's spiritual successor. They carry on the tradition of the Rock Opera with the eloquence and skill of the erudite musician that Rush stood for.
I love people who get confronted with music like this for the first time, especially when they're so expressive in their face. And yes, i'm an old metal head.
Chek out their entire discography from 1980 till today. You will realise that theres no other band like them in heavy metal and there will not be any. 42 years of discography, 17 studio alboums. Iron Maiden exists from 1975. 47 years. What a legacy!!! Up the irons!!!
Oh F--K!!! Camm!!! U picked a good one!! Great HEAD BANGER!!! There's definitely ALOT going on in this song!!! If you concentrate and listen.... U can hear each in instrument play separately??!! It's crazy!! Hey y'all who remembers RUN TO THE HILLS!!!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!! Hey Camm....!!! Good song!
Really loved you watching this one. Iron Maiden are one of my old favorites from back in the day, and it was good to see you appreciate it. Love watching your videos.
I grew up listening to Maiden. Never really checked out this channel before--the video just randomly popped up in my feed--but it's cool to see the next generation digging this.
An epic band and epic song. Maiden is one of my 2 favorite Metal artists, and this is def my fav song by Maiden. up irons!! I've got tix to go see them (again - for sixth time) this coming Sept.
I'm just saying they are in their 60s now and still bound round the stage like their half their ages. Always high octane performances and usually spitfires (aeroplanes) fly their concerts before. Its sick
The lead singer of Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson has survived and beaten Throat cancer BEFORE he has come back to the band and is singing THIS song now. So, this is HIM singing after beating throat cancer. I am just MEGA impressed about that. That is IF this recording HAS been a recent one. I guess that the recording of him singing COULD have been made BEFORE his cancer diagnosis and surgery/cure. The more I listen to it, I know that it is from the original recording, so, BEFORE his cancer diagnosis and surgery. LOL!! Your facial expressions are cracking me up!!!! You look kinda shocked and/or impressed or something!!!! It's always interesting to see people who may not be into a certain band or type of music give a review of it. Maiden has been my favorite band since the 1980's. I hope you liked their music.
Um... this recording was made back in 1982, so yeah, way before the cancer. If you want post-cancer recordings, look for stuff from the Book of Souls World Tour (Wasted Years is funny on this one; while the live video is obviously a compilation from several shows, Bruce keeps messing with Adrian's mic, moving it on him and stuff) or the Legacy of the Beast World Tour (Bruce has way too much fun with flamethrowers during Flight of Icarus).
We are many tribes. Music is only one bridge. All it takes is the fearless curiosity to take that first step across... Nice work dude, keep it up! rl 🤘👹🤘
This was literally the first song I knew the words to my dad used to sing it in the car when the radio was broken and I knew the words before I had even heard the real song. And then i heard it and it made me want to make music (and I do now not very well but it sparked a passion in me)
What a lot of young people don't realize is how the building of big loud sound systems to bump that music came up out of the early metal heads in the east coast, then the hip hop guys were like we need to do that too! Music has always been the cultural bridge... well that and food 😋
The look on your face.. Its like you finally heard real music for the 1st time in your life. Enjoy the journey.. Maiden is the pinnacle of metal. The pinnacle of music.
Not just one of the Heavy Metal greats, Iron Maiden are the kings of Prog Metal. The constant tempo shifts, rhythm changes, etc. Every song will keep you guessing which direction it is going to go from stanza to stanza while still raging fluidly and in a way that makes sense. If you have time for a 14 minute literary classic, then I highly recommend "Rime of The Ancient Mariner".
There is too much ignorance regarding Metal, and too many souls missing out. Iron Maiden is not just a band, its something that goes beyond music. Only true Metalheads could understand, but sometimes I wonder if everyone should be exposed to this majesty. Especially in places were it just doesn't exist, like certain black or Asian communities for example.
When people think about metal music they think immediately about bands like Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel which are good bands don't get me wrong but it is the unfortunate stereotype that people believe to represent the entire genre.
You’ll be busy doing all their great songs. Always try to find live versions of songs. Rime of the ancient mariner Ghost of the navigator Blood brothers The trooper Fear of the dark The evil that men do Etc.
BRO. Listen to Fear of the Dark by Iron Maiden. Definitely one of their best songs. But Hallowed Be Thy Name is possibly my favorite. It's quite hard to choose actually. There are so many great songs by Maiden. I saw em live in 2016. Best concert I ever been to in my life.
Yes this is the sound of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. This was the second wave of Heavy Metal right after the classics Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, and of course Black Sabbath. I personally like to know the timeline to understand how the sound evolved
Imagine being in a Gym workout with Iron Maidens singer screaming at you LOL i would be terrified this guy can hit those notes also good to see a reaction video where there's no interruptions before the end of the video well done man.
What amazes me is that the protagonist in this song is getting ready to be hung, having served his prison sentence. And here he is, going through the stages of grief, contemplating his life. At the end of his life, with the rope around his neck, the last thing he says is, "Hallowed....Be...Thy....NAME!"
Bruce Dickinson is The G.O.A.T. Try out the song "Run to the Hills", it's a little commercial, easy listening if you're new to Iron Maiden, nonetheless all of I.M. songs are worth listening to! Also, have the Lyric's handy, that way you won't mishear a word & you'll get a better idea of what the song/s are about. Ok, thank you for your reaction.

Metal is much more than growling and double bass kicks. Iron Maiden brings the heat with class.
UP THE IRONS🏴🏴🤘
I stand by the idea that Iron Maiden is Rush's spiritual successor. They carry on the tradition of the Rock Opera with the eloquence and skill of the erudite musician that Rush stood for.
Welcome to my Metalworld for more than 40 years - I' m 54 years old and love this music, the Best Music on this Planet
Your Face says more than Thousand Words, i love it !!! Keep going Bro !!!
One of the most epic bands of all time, still going strong today. Up Your Irons !
Bruce "air raid siren" Dickinson vocals are the stuff of legend.
Fear of the Dark is one of the best Iron Maiden songs to introduce someone to the band, epic and very melodic.
One of the greatest rock grooves ever.
That's one of my favorite Maiden songs, Run to the Hill's by Iron Maiden is another good one, I love the maiden and listen to most of their songs 🤭
You're touching on my high-school years. It's so fun watching people discover stuff I grew up on so they can share the enjoyment too.
Still listening to their tapes in my car. Albums are in my parents attic. I'll have to get them one day
Oh F--K!!! Camm!!! U picked a good one!!
Great HEAD BANGER!!! There's definitely ALOT going on in this song!!! If you concentrate and listen.... U can hear each in instrument play separately??!! It's crazy!! Hey y'all who remembers
RUN TO THE HILLS!!!!!
Up the Irons! 🤘🏻
Pick any song from Maiden, just make sure you do a Live version!! They are masters at playing live
Like for real, they kickedass live I mean 🤩
The magic of a band with 3 lead guitarists!
An epic band and epic song. Maiden is one of my 2 favorite Metal artists, and this is def my fav song by Maiden.
up irons!!
I've got tix to go see them (again - for sixth time) this coming Sept.
Steve Harris is the bass player. He's what sets Maiden ahead of the rest.
Barring Wacken 2013, this may be the best concert I've ever viewed. I viewed a lot of concerts.
Legends tell of an alternate dimension where Bruce still holds that '' LoooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW'' note.
black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest we're some of the biggest metal bands in the 70s and early 80s most bands since we're influenced by them
You forgot Motorhead mate
I dig how you say " I am ready. I am ready!" cause it's was about to get sick! 🎵🎶
This band just gives me another reason to be proud to be British
or a Metalhead
I'm just saying they are in their 60s now and still bound round the stage like their half their ages. Always high octane performances and usually spitfires (aeroplanes) fly their concerts before. Its sick
When your head starts banging and your feet tapping, its a good song!
Certainly drops me back in 1987 in Helsinki 🇫🇮 when seeing them as a 'youngster' with special guest W.A.S.P
Forever always Iron Maiden, in my heart and in my mind
One of the best metal bands of all time, one of my favs Nightwish, Arch Enemy, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest
They can't stop the Metal...Warm Welcome to the party Camm!
Iron Maiden is one of those band that has to be played at maximum volume
Live is always best with Iron Maiden! And you chose the best performance 🤘
I love watching reactions like this.... discovering new music you're not familiar with is amazing.
Imagine being a teenboy head bangin' in that crowd. Magic
Yeah! And this is live vocals!
Nice work dude, keep it up!
rl
🤘👹🤘
For a moment, around 1:54, y'all started tu8rning into Ruby Rod from Fifth Element..... LOL
That head movement....
There will never be another Iron Maiden led by Bruce Dickinson
I think you just became an Iron Maiden fan, as we all did the second we heard them. Your reaction was awesome to watch 😎
I was 14 upon release. And this is still as powerful today as it was as a teen. Up The Irons \m/
This was literally the first song I knew the words to my dad used to sing it in the car when the radio was broken and I knew the words before I had even heard the real song. And then i heard it and it made me want to make music (and I do now not very well but it sparked a passion in me)
Check out the iron maiden song: Greater Good of God from the album: A Mater of Life and Death.
I can see You love it! Up the irons & the maidens"
One of the handful of very best worldwide. Maiden still kicks ass today. Getting ready for another world tour.
Lots of good songs by them but to start with: The Trooper, Wasted Years, Run to the Hills
I love Fates Warning because their earlier albums are like Maiden but even more prog 🤘
When people think about metal music they think immediately about bands like Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel which are good bands don't get me wrong but it is the unfortunate stereotype that people believe to represent the entire genre.
the bass player is a god RIP CLIVE BURR
Saw them in Ozzfest 2005 San Bernardino California!!!!!!!! 🤘😎🤘
You’ll be busy doing all their great songs. Always try to find live versions of songs.
Rime of the ancient mariner
Ghost of the navigator
Blood brothers
The trooper
Fear of the dark
The evil that men do
Etc.
Nice list, the only trouble is you could almost put it album by album, but then we'd just be listing ALL their album. Even Senjutsu is badass TBH.
@@nathanieltillman2355 this is from their live album Rock in Rio.
In particular:
Fear of The Dark (Rock In Rio performance)
and
Rime Of The Ancient Mariner (Flight 666 performance)
Metal is maiden, they are legends
Imagine being in a Gym workout with Iron Maidens singer screaming at you LOL i would be terrified this guy can hit those notes also good to see a reaction video where there's no interruptions before the end of the video well done man.
Iron Maiden is a staple of the metal genre. they pretty much wrote the book.
What amazes me is that the protagonist in this song is getting ready to be hung, having served his prison sentence.
And here he is, going through the stages of grief, contemplating his life. At the end of his life, with the rope around his neck, the last thing he says is, "Hallowed....Be...Thy....NAME!"
Iron Maiden is the "Gateway drug"" in to metal :)
Best band ever , it’s indisputable!
Up The Irons brother 🤘
My fav Maiden song and one my all time favourites
Hallowed *BE* thy name! *BE* not by.
🏝👏🏽 open ears leads to balanced soul🇬🇺🏝
Iron Maiden is British, if you didn’t know 😂 saw them 4 years ago, kickass show. 🤘
I began turning my 11 year old onto Iron Maiden,Megadeth, and Rage Against the Machine.
Hey bro iron maden is one of the greatest bands of all time. Good old bruce. Iron maden for life.
Listen this Song 35 years later in a live Version- 2022 All Bandmembers are over 60 years old with a New Album
Dance of death live from the en vivo dvd version is a must react and book of souls live at downloadfestival 2016. I'd say just about any live performance of maiden is a must
Great to see a new person listening to probably the best metal track ever
Kind of cool 🤣🤣🤣 you just witnessed greatness!
Released in 1982…… one year before I graduated high school and joined the US Army…… good memories 😏
Me and 6 mates were walking into town taking a short cut along beside the railway line then cross the line onto an unused line with a ghetto blaster with this up the way its supposed to be very LOUD as we crossed the line and we 2yards on the old line the fast train blew his horn we shat a brick we missed that train by 5 seconds but that was 1983 and the number of the beast is still my fav metal album
