James took useless satanic garbage and made it shine like a newly forged & minted gold piece. I wasn't referring to the lyrics; the lyrics are elementary, basic, lame. Its shockjock bs just to be edgy. Maybe they actually worship satan maybe they don't. I do however know James took what they couldn't make sound decent, cram half an albums worth of songs into one and make Mercyful Fate relevant outside 80s basement dwelling teens who h∆+€ their daddy's for the first time. James possessed Kim Bendix Petersen's (aka King Diamond's) soul for a moment before finding it unworthy and tossing it to the abyss. LMAO, ol Kim ain't been the same since and wasn't all that and a bag of "crisps" before. Kim, what name.🤣 O'What a name. "So what, so what, so what you boring Lil Fook." They made Queen relevant too with that cover bc OMG does queen absolutely suck. Let's just take a breath and "Turn the Page," 🤣🤣 Bob Seger, Seger the geezer, His song sucked too. James Hetfield can take a boring low effort low intelligence song and make it melodic and metal all in one. That's what makes MetallicA tower over all bands. To each their own with musical tastes but there is no other band in history that can bring a positive reaction than MetallicA's melodic metamorphosis through 40+ yrs. So talk down to someone who's not an NPC and testosterone pumping through their body and this is the response you get.

A huge fan of Mercyful Fate/King Diamond, and not that huge fan of Metallica. I must say, these songs lost the eerie factor being played by Metallica, especially from the absence of the high falsetto vocals of King, and the reverb effects of the original songs that made the songs spooky. Not so much of a fan of these covers. Just losing all of the power the original ones have.
But isn't it worth it when you get the "Yeah" in return? /Andrei
