Straight up heavy metal, you can understand every word without being super high like hair metal or harsh growling but heavy and high energy. That's what real metal is.

They had Hank Shermann, Michael Denner, Timi Hansen and King Diamond from Mercyful Fate performing with them on their 30th Anniversary concert. Can be found on UA-cam.
Timi Hansen 2019 RIP. MF got a new job to reunion in 2020 at Copenhell and summer 2019 they started practise. Few months later Timi died ....... Corona spoiled their reunion. Michael Denner was NOT invited. Him and Hank are not friends anymore ..... These members played at their 30th Anniversary concert at 2022 : King Diamond (vokal) Hank Shermann (guitar) Mike Wead (guitar) Bjarne T. Holm (trommer) Joey Vera (bas)
The two first MF albums are peak when it comes to riffs, atmosphere, dark lyrics, and just...awesomeness. There is a reason "everybody" in thrash, death and black metal worship this band.
'TALLICAAAAAAAAAAA!! I honestly think Metallica is THE best cover band EVER!! Every cover they make, they convert it, make the their own, and if you don't know it´s a cover, you honestly think it's an original Metallica song. Lover every single metallica song... Best band EVER!
This is a great tribute to Mercyfull Fate. They played it live like, 2 times i guess, both with King Diamond on vocals. This and album Metallica released just with covers of songs from bands that some way influenced them. If you guys are up for it, do "Loverman". Its original from Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.
YES!! Always a good day for Metallica and the Echoes of your laughter🤘🖤😆😆 There's still so much great music from these guys just waiting for you...Orion..Call Of Ktulu..Fight Fire With Fire..Spit Out The Bone..Leper Messiah.. Damage Inc.
A man not far from my home in suburban Toronto made a concrete boat in the late 60s-early 70s. Watched it taking shape over the course of a couple of years. Never found out how it worked out. 😅 Bangin' track. Figured this album was the band's nod to some influences based on the title. Noicely dun, boyz. ✌🏼😊🎶❤️🍁❤️✨️🦇
Great great tribute mix of Mercyful Fate! Best of the new covers on Garage Inc without doubt. Hahaha it really is a testament to how much Mercyful Fate influenced Metallica's sound; you could easily tell someone who is unaware of who Mercyful Fate that this is an original Metallica song, and they'd believe it. They do such a good job with the transitions between the songs that it all sounds like one of their original progressive metal songs.
MetallicA played this live in1998 on mtv MetallicA presents covers, it's was a great show and lives somewhere on UA-cam, they played most of the songs on the double album garage inc
They are big fans of Mercyful Fate and recorded in King diamond Castle I believe during the ride 😢 the lightning could a man kill em all it's been awhile and the albums Melissa and don't break the oath after hearing that should make you want to go back and review a lot of Mercyful Fate they're right up there with Black Sabbath to me people today or just haters in the 80s everybody loved Lars🤘🤘
All those who say Lars can't do anything are musically illiterate. Lars played drums to a new style, the thrash, where you didn't know how to play to it at all. He, together with James, is the brains behind all the songs. Yes, Cliff also contributed a lot until his death. It's also always interesting that the rappers and hipp hopp guys in particular appreciate Lar's work. In any case, they have more to do with rhythm than the beer can-destroying headbanger, who also moves his head 99% of the time in the wrong beat.
I always say technical ability isn't as important as being able to write great music. From mid to late 90s he lost a bit of that early days power but he did great on S&M and when they had their comeback in 2003, despite ST. Anger not being a good album, he was more energetic in the live shows again and also played some faster songs like Blackened and whatnot. The Napster thing didn't help his popularity. I think he was right to raise concerns but it wasn't the brightest idea to go after the fans. He remains a legendary drummer to me, I don't know him personally but he seems to be the driving force behind their success especially the business side, so there is that. People tend to forget the first 5 legendary albums wouldn't have been written like they were without his input.
Mercyful Fate and King Diamond were danish, as Lars and a big influence on the rythm section, their riffs are massive!!!! In Europe Fate and King are big names! 💪💪💪💪💪🤘🤘🤘🤘
Relating to Elephants-- African Elephants ears are in the shape of Africa, while Asian Elephants ears are shaped... you guessed it, like the continent of Asia. 😊
I am wondering if.. after all of these metal reactions.. what influence the metal journey has had on your music, if any. Like.. if you sat down today and decided to write a metal song yourself.. what would it sound like? Or a metal-rap combo. Would be interesting, I am sure. All music draws upon other music for inspiration or at least has some influence on the current music being produced. By the same token, I have wondered what Eminem would sound like if he decided to do a metal album. I am betting he would kill the lyrics.
Metallica, one of the greatest cover bands ever, along with Halestorm. Other songs to check out from Garage Inc. are Am I Evil, Loverman and Astronomy.
Playing the instrument is a small portion of the talent there’s millions of guitar players that are unknown that can put Kirk Hammett to shame but what 99% of people don’t have is the talent to write good music over and over
This is a mix of 5 Mercyful Fate songs.
1 - Satan's fall
2- curse of the Pharaoh's
3- corpse without a soul
4 - into the coven
5- evil
🔥🤘🏽🔥

Morning guys! That was great!! They kicked ass!!!
Best cover album ever.
This is the best possible introduction to the awesomeness of Mercyful Fate, and into the influences of Metallica.
Playing this on guitar hero introduced me to mercyful fate and king Diamond. I just saw the king on 10/30.
This is what we call heeaaavvvyyy metal thank you King Diamond and Metallica🙏🏻🙏🏻

Great stuff! I LOVE King Diamond!
Long live The King
Fun Fact: this Was in the rhythm Game Guitar Hero Metallica. This song was the longest song in the game!
My favourite song to play on that game!!. Still play regularly but find it harder after breaking my hand and my pinkie finger got shorter 😂😂
the best song!
And hardest
@@brianstepnowski5775 Dyers eve is harder.
@@brianstepnowski5775 but very satisfying to play.
King Diamond is the singer for Mercyful Fate.
They also have a ronnie rising medley you should check out. Also more Motorhead is always a good idea!
Also this year's Elton John live cover
@@8tonystark8 They covered Elton John? Or did Elton John cover Dio? Either/both would be good.
Mercyful Fate came out in 1981, Kill Em All came out in 1983.
I never understood the Lars hate. He sounds great to me 😊
I was just about to mention that hahaha Lars is a very annoying person but I always thought he was a good drummer

They have a live performance of this in New York. They did the whole Garage Inc album that show. Fucking awesome

This cover is better than the original. These riffs!
Guys. Just do the whole garage Inc album. No one does covers like Metallica. Whole album is good
Except for the Black Sabbath covers. Impossible to replicate Ozzy!
Like many others i also was introduced to Mercyful Fate with this medley.
A cover from KING DIAMOND
By the amazing METALLICA
This was a long ass song in Guitar Hero, and god damn it’s fun to play 🤘🏻🔥

@nim4464 to me its perfect. The emotion James put on that song was flawless
They did this live one other time for Cunning Stunts in 1998 as well. That time it was just them.
@ralphdougherty1844 Cunning Stunts was in 1997 before the release of Reload. Garage Inc was released in 1998
Metallica - Mercyful Fate - Live At Roseland Ballroom 1998

King Diamond song wow!!
Mercyful fate came before Metallica. First EP by Mercyful fate was released in 1982, Metallica debut album was realesed in 1983.
But Power Metal was released in 1982
Nice reaction. Hope for some live Metallica soon. :)
Love this album ❤️

Now is time for a Mercyful Fate journey!
This is awesome 😊
Garage Inc is one of the best cover albums, and one of my favourite Metallica albums.
This was mainly Lars's brainchild. Very similar arrangement to Rainbow's Dio Medley. The Evil version was from the BBC Sessions of MF
Kirk is mentioned as one of the best ever. He made the rock n roll hall of fame before Metallica did as a whole
Merciful Fate ... * ' King Diamond '
Look up Metallica XXX anniversary concert King Diamond and other members of Fate join them on stage
🤣🤣🤣 Beautiful, please check "The memory remains" Doc🤟🥳
Lars played this song live several times too and on point. The guy gets flak for nothing, hes proven it
