The Tenth Doctor Story | 60th Anniversary | Doctor Who

To celebrate 10 years of @whovian_fanbase, we bring you the latest recap in our 'The Story of...' videos!
18 Years ago, on 16th April 2005, David Tennant was announced as The Tenth Doctor.
Making his first appearance in 'The Parting of the Ways' in 2005 and his final adventure in 'The End of Time' in 2010, this Doctor was a charismatic mixture of apparent opposites… He could show extraordinary kindness and sensitivity, but he himself admitted he was a man who gave no second chances.
Waking on Christmas Day in his new form, the Doctor fought the Sycorax high above London, where he lost a hand but grew a new one with remnant regenerative power. By and large the Tenth Doctor was a happy traveller who found wonder in everything from quirky little words to a rampaging werewolf. He roamed time and space with Rose Tyler, Mickey Smith, Martha Jones and Donna Noble and all of them showed him tremendous loyalty.
Told that he would die when someone knocked four times, the Doctor remained defiant, but to no avail. Reeling from his confrontation with the Time Lords and fatally dosed with radiation, the Tenth Doctor’s song ended, as his violent regeneration burned the TARDIS and sent it crashing through space….

The scene with Rose before he regenerates always kills me, I still remember the first episode in 2005 and when she left it broke me. So that scene always hits me hard and the music 🥺

And there he is, the best Doctor that has ever been and definitely my Doctor forever, I don't care who comes next. 10th and Tennant will always have my heart. I'm beyond words thrilled that he's back as the 14th, but I'm not ready to let him ago AGAIN and I know pretty sure that I never will. I still cry every time I watch his departure. This is going to break my already broken heart and somehow, it's the most wonderful and beautiful thing. ♥

That's Georgia Tennant, David Tennant's wife!
Fun fact: Her father played the 5th doctor.
So in this episode (The Doctors daughter), in a way the 10th doctor his daughter is his wife, while for his previous incarnation she's his actual daughter.

I rediscovered Dr Who on the Pompeii episode (watched Tom Baker as a kid). Watched it religiously for a couple years and kind of fell off during Matt Smith. Good memories of watching it with 2 different girlfriends 😂
