Brand new Whovian, brought in by my Amazon Prime membership and my love for the theme song. I saw smatterings of Classic Who as a child but for some reason couldn't connect with it, unlike Star Trek which made me a Sci-Fi fan for life. I was taken by the brilliant mix of storytelling, action, technobabble and the relationships, and was thinking that I'd stop when Tennant's run was done... but then I saw Matt Smith and recognized him as Her Majesty's Prince consort, Prince Philip, and i thought, "okay, let's stay a while longer" and was absolutely taken by Karen Gillan and her story with Rory and Melody/River. It was absolutely heartbreaking to see 11 lose his best friends to the Weeping Angels just as he was starting to learn what it meant to be part of a family. But next came Jenna Coleman. Her first episode as Oswin captured me. Let it be said first that Jenna is stunningly beautiful, but more than her looks, her acting is gold. She imbues so much life, vitality, charm, curiosity, wonder, wit, love, sadness, anger, fear, strength, hope, faith, and much more into her portrayal of Clara. Whether it's her flirty, pseudo-girlfriend/boyfriend vibe with 11, or her complicated but elevated best-friendship and unwavering trust in 12, Jenna and likewise Clara shines in every scene that she's in. I also like the fact that she's not some Mary Sue and she's also flawed; the fact that despite being in a romantic relationship with Danny Pink, she still is more loyal and more trusting of The Doctor and doesn't tell Danny that she runs off with The Doctor. Of course, if I was Danny, I'd be hurt and offended, but looking at Clara as a character, I like the fact she's flawed. She would never lie to, betray, or harm The Doctor, even though she would be skeptical of the man she's in a romantic relationship with. Both Clara and the Doctor even say things that could be hurtful to each other. But they're so close that they understand as hurtful as it may sound, it is meant to make each other better people. And they both become better because of their relationship with each other. And it's not sexual, not a parental thing, not even teacher-student. It's just them, loving and trusting each other while going on epic, literally out-of-this-world adventures and needing each other to survive. And the Doctor putting her over everyone making sure that Clara lives no matter what happens, while Clara has given her life over and over and over again for the Doctor to live and to be on the right track. She even betrays him by attempting to steal the TARDIS keys and threaten him in order to save Danny... but he still cares so much that even though he's hurt by her betrayal, not even that would break his bond with her, and I love how he tells her that. They even lie to each other to give each other reasons to let go: The Doctor lied about searching for Gallifrey so Clara can have a relationship with Danny, and the Clara lied about being with Danny so that the Doctor wouldn't worry about her. I don't care if they look like a May-December relationship. When you get each other, you just get each other, and you can be your fully authentic self with your other. And that's what I see with Clara and 12. She maybe misunderstood and underrated in some circles, but for my money, I'm glad to journey through the Whoniverse with Clara. She's my favorite companion.

I loved beautiful intelligent Clara above all the other companions. I loved her mysterious beginnings- brilliant! And I cried at her brave selfless ending….. Even though my elderly sixty something husband has a terrible crush on her with her picture all over his screen saver ( down boy…. ) I have to agree, she is my favorite too. 😊

I absolutely love Clara Oswald and the actress Jenna Coleman OMG how amazing is she since leaving Who she's been Queen Victoria then a constine a boss of drugs empire and soo much more Clara's story was just she was there then not her and Matt Smith where great together plus Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman were just fantastic she's gone to great very much loved one thing I didn't like was face the Raven I thought that episode lacked alot and the Doctor was broken as he always is when losing a companion but her Tardis and at the end in twice upon a time I loved

Easily the best Doctor to this day.

Capaldi's Doctor feels like the epitome of the character of the Doctor. You can really feel his love for the character in every line, expression, and scene. It's a shame we couldn't have gotten at least three more seasons of the 12th and quintessential Doctor.

I've rated Jodie as an actor since I saw her in Venus, but almost all aspects of her Doctor was badly conceived.

I still maintain that 'The Doctor Falls' should have been the last ever episode of Doctor Who. Without hope, without witness, without reward. A perfectly poignant ending to the story of the Doctor.

Donna's story is epic! She and the Doctor are the best of friends, ready to take more adventures in space and time together! I'm so glad she finally has a happy ending. ❤
