I wish I lived near you and could afford this. My eyelids definitely have eyelid laxity. I've always had hooded eyes, but now it's even worse because I'm getting older. Her eyes turned out really good. I bet she is happy with them. :)
The patients eyes (eyeballs) are smaller in the After; i.e., not as wide open as in the Before. I hope that's just a matter of the photo that was taken. I mean, upper bleph won't change the *shape* of the eye, will it?
I always tell my patients they can do light exercise light walking following days after eyelid surgery with a full recovery to exercise more rigorously within a week. And wearing makeup I advise waiting 1-2 weeks and only after sutures have been removed.
Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic procedure that is rarely ever covered by insurance across the entire country. If you have a ptosis issue with your eyes that is usually covered but a completely different type of eyelid procedure. Check out my video on ptosis if you are interested in learning more about that.
With regards to healing - scheduled for upper blepharoplasty first week of April and have wedding to attend first week of June. Is this cutting it too close or should I expect to be healed if all goes well? Enjoy your videos!
You will be very close to fully recovered from the blepharoplasty. You will definitely be able to put on makeup 💄 by that point for the wedding on your upper eyelids.
Hi Dr. Kopelman, I recently had an upper and lower blepharoplasty on 3/21 with stiches removed on 4/3. Love the lower result but feel the upper result changed my eye shape drastically. There’s still slight puffiness at the tips of the upper lid, was hoping that would improve the eye shape as the puffiness reduced but I'm starting to think that’s unrealistic after hearing your discussion on the 50 split eyelids measurement. I think that’s what was done changing my natural eye shape to more of a circular shape . I really dislike how I look now. How long should I wait before seeking a revision to restore my normal eye shape before it’s too late?
i am ok with my upper eye lids even though they droop, but my lower eye lids have huge bags that i will like removed. i pulled my lower eye lids to each side to see how it will look without the big bags and wow what a change just removing those baggy lower eye lids. will this be surgery alone? and how much would it costs?
You can do both your upper and lower eyelids at the same time. I have an average cost break down on my website you can find on my blog at drkopelman.com
No risk because only excess skin on the outside of the eyelid is being removed on the other lid. Your 👁️ eye is not impacted at all from a blepharoplasty.
That is great news!. I have dry eye syndrome and thought I couldn’t get this done. Wish I lived close to your office for this procedure. Thank you for your reply.
I had a botched upper bleph. I had dissymmetry where my left eye was fine and right eye was a bit lower. The doctor over corrected the left eye that didn't really need correcting. I know the common correction is to remove skin in order to do a lift but is there a way to stretch skin or how would an over corrected lid be brought down in a scenario such as this?
@@katemiller7874 I completely understand. Its so frustrating and for me its hard to look at. I hide when Im on virtual meetings and dont go out any more. I wish I used better judgement when picking my surgeon. It can not be overstated how important the selection and consultative process is.
I had eyelid surgery few year ago but that change all my look , he remove too much skin and fat there is a huge space all empty that it made me look older and change the shape of my eyes , i am very sad ..i wish something could be done.
Please show women in their 50’s. Our skin in not that of a woman in her 30’s. I just had this done a month ago and now one eye has a crease. How do I know if I need a revision. I want you to do it. Please advise.
Hi Dr Joel, I’ve just private messaged you on Instagram about my eyelid surgery done recently, can you please have a look and get back to me as soon as you can. I would really appreciate your advice about what I can do about possibly a revision surgery. Thanks so much!
Thank you dr. Kopelman for sharing the story of your patience and describing the procedure.
Happy you enjoyed learning about my patients cosmetic eyelid journey.

I failed the test so my insurance is paying for mine.
@@Just.D Which test was it? Do your lids have to be drooping over your eyes?

I'm having this done next Monday
Great expertise! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
excellent information.
I like your work.
It's wise to prepare people for the post-op swelling and bruising, so they are not shocked when they see themselves.
That’s exactly why I made this video so everyone has reasonable expectations for what it is like to get upper eyelid surgery.
Doc how long after surgery can you resume wearing eye makeup? And exercise? How long until swelling and bruising goes down?

My eyes where I used to have creases is no longer a crease and the skin is loose. After surgery
Hello, Dr. Kopelman. Do you generally accept insurances for upper blepharoplasty?

I would wait at least six months before you consider eyelid revision surgery

Same. Now my left eye is smaller. I’m very upset

How soon afterwards, if I have upper and lower, would I be able to swim in the ocean and do weight training
One month
@@drkopelman Thank you soooo much…👍🏼❤️🌺
Her eyes look bigger and better before. They look much smaller after.
Thus surgery permanent?
