Great one, just uploaded one design myself this morning came up randomly with the idea but you bring a bunch of new ideas to my table. Mainly the transport after spawning them.
Resin blocks and Resin bricks are just building blocks so 8000 blocks per hour isn’t even something bad considering you’re supposed to build with these. Wood and bamboo farms you can get like 10k logs per hour, same with stone which you can get 100k + per hour. Great farm btw.
Gnembon confirmed that it is meant to be easy to get which most casual players will probably appreciate. It's fine no need to make every part of the game grindy as hell
Personally I doubt it. The time it would take for a new creaking to spawn and be moved to where the player is attacking them would almost certainly be longer than the 5 second cooldown between attacks. Even if it was faster, the difference would likely be only a fraction of a second. You'd be better off just adding more creaking hearts to increase the output if you really cared about that.
@@phantomjadenthis is true but it would be a multiplicative benefit. Let's say you can make a good spawner system and get it down to 2 seconds to move, 2 seconds after moving to despawn. That would give like a 20% bonus. That is easier than adding 20% more hearts when you have a large enough amount of them.
Actually it is perfectly balanced the block has a pretty limited use so it's fine if you can farm it too easily and you would still need to get some creaking hearts to get a headstart for the farm
The mechanic is intentional, the bad balancing it creates likely isn’t. Mojang probably didn’t consider how easy it would be to make this type of industrial farm. That’s where the “mess up” is.
@@kikivoorburgWhy would be farming it like this something Monang would have a problem with? It's just a decoration/scaffolding block. It being this farmable creates no problems in gameplay whatsoever.
This seems fine to me. The farm is complex enough to be interesting, is accessible to all players via block by block tutorials, and leave room for optimisation (both to make it faster, and to make it simpler).
How much xp does smelting give? Not that it would ever be a good xp farm but atleast for bedrock edition it coul ld replace cactus xp farms. Auto attacks are possible in bedrock with player damage.
I think it's fine to be able to farm a building block so easily, but it sucks how grindy obtaining it the "natural" way is by comparison. Other building blocks, like copper and wood, can also be amassed quickly through farming, but is still feasible to collect large amounts through simpler methods. Resin, on the other hand, seems completely impractical to gather from the wild.
You could as well use pufferfishes for free damage, smh (cannot confirm tho, never played on the very newest snapshot) EDIT: This is wrong, im sorry for confusion
If you're going to go through the effort of building a farm (which in my experience is usually tedious and boring) then I'd say its perfectly fair to get that much Resin, especially since (as others have mentioned) its not used for much outside of decorative purposes. Man... Now that I mention it, it feels like almost EVERYTHING Mojang adds these days are exclusively for decorative purposes... Which is nice and all, but would it really hurt to have _some_ objectively useful uses for these kinds of things? It feels like you never need to interact with any newer features at all unless you specifically need them for building something, outside of that there's no motive to seek these things out.
I genuinely didn't know that the resin block was instant break like slime! Mojang did a better job with the pale gardens than I had thought: cool new biome for people to adventure to, and face a unique "unkillable" threat (essentially a sight-based warden that is accessible to younger players), a new decorative block for builders, a new farm for redstoners to design, a block with new properties for technichal player to abuse.... Honestly, I was decieved into thinking that the pale gardens were too small in scope, but I think this is just right. Bigger in scope than cherry blossom biomes and trail ruins combined!
They didn't just fumble the balancing this is pretty mutch just random trash a random half finished mod would add. It doesn't fit into the game at all, not by style, but by function. Like I would love if somehow the function of the mending enchant got replaced with this resing thing, or if it had literally any function other than a decorational block (that looks ugly and low effort anyways) This idea of making a monster invincible is also doomed from the strart. Like it's obvious thyt this would break the game. They found out pretty early that if you fall into a hole with it you get stuck, so they made it just die in such cases, but that's already an ugly bandaid solution.

It was stated very clearly in Minecraft Live at least. However, it was not renewable before.
"unclear if intentional or not" my brother in christ, it was in the minecraft live BEFORE the update snapshots were out lmfao
I remember they said it in the Minecraft live, it is intentional you can do that.

Bottles would make more sense
one of the devs had a farm this good up and running before the snapshot Lol
79,000 resin/h sounds like a lot, but that roughly 8,777 resin blocks/h , which seems actually pretty fair (espically compared to most wood farms)
it is infinitely expandable, you can produce much more very easly
I think the build time of this farm is like 10 minutes so
i think a big issue is how tedious it is to acquire without the farm though
I mean the resins are used for brick-like blocks which afaik should be pretty common, so this kinda make sense. As for other uses like armor trims, not sure.

also with 9 resin and 2 logs you can make creaking hearths and therefore make more creakers, not that useful but thats another possibility.
